Hi! I am 29 y/o (born on October 1993) I made this blog to post my sketches (the thing I should do), but in the end this turned to be my everything blog. You'll see a little bit of a lot of things, especially FNAF (again) and The Sun and Moon Show too. Feel free to just scroll here and have a cookie!! 🍘🍘🍘
jkr is literally posting upskirt photos to her social media. when will it finally get through to harry potter fans that their support makes her feel confident and correct enough to do things like this
If the holocaust denialism SOMEHOW wasn't enough for you to shut up about your favourite kids book as an adult; JK Rowling just committed a sex crime IRL against a transgender woman.
I’m actually going to reblog a thing just because this is really important.
As someone who has epilepsy and used to have several grand mal seizures a day, I’d also like to add that “offer help” can range anywhere from keeping the person calm to explaining to them where they are and what they were doing to even just telling them they should sit and rest for a while longer (lack or coordination is common, and it can be hard to walk straight or see clearly).
It’s okay for them to take up to a half hour to fully regain their bearings and sort out what they were doing prior to the seizure. Just answer any questions calmly and be there for support.
If they come around and you start to panic or shake them or ask them what the heck is wrong with them they are going to freak out and panic too.
I cannot stress it enough that this is bad.
If someone has a seizure and they come out of it, please. please stay calm.
They are likely disoriented and confused, even if it’s only for a minute or two, and you don’t want them panicking on top of that because they can have another seizure as a result.
IMPORTANT because last year a kid in my class had a seizure, none of us even knew he was at risk for them either so just cause you don’t think you know anyone doesn’t mean you don’t
I have to stress how important it is to time a seizure. If it lasts more than a few minutes, call an ambulance.
DO NOT CALL THE POLICE. I’m dead fucking serious. I had a grand mal in public once and the POLICE were called and imagine coming out of the seizure, feeling like you got smacked in the head with a sack full of bricks, confused, dazed, in desperate need of some sugar to boost low blood pressure and some DIPSHIT has called the police and I was being threatened with being ‘drunk and disorderly’. It took a phone call to my doctors office to get them to back off. The police cannot properly deal with sick people.
Offer help can be:
assuring person where they are/what time it is
getting them something to drink if they can; seizure burns so much energy and does cause a blood pressure drop
getting them safely to transport or a carer
getting them some dignity like a blanket/towel [loosing control of your bladder and bowels is fucking horrifying]
ensuring they have a way to get home. Someone who has just had a seizure should NEVER DRIVE straight after
calling emergency services if you notice any of these symptoms because they may have stroked out.
Why you shouldn’t put anything in someone’s mouth: they will choke. Yes, they may bite their tongue but I can assure you it’s less traumatic than cracking your jaw on someone’s greasy wallet or choking on a spoon.
DO NOT HOLD ANYONE DOWN. Example: someone pinned my right shoulder mid-seizure a few years back and how I have a permanently displaced and clicking shoulder. Let the person flail around, those muscles are out of control and restraining them does cause more damage to the patient and you.
People can also have seizures that look epileptic, but are rather psychogenic. I had a coworker who had PNES (psychogenic non-epileptic seizures) as a result of trauma, and I learned a lot about this from them.
Because PNES seizures aren’t caused by the same thing as epileptic seizures, they can look similar but people can be semi-conscious during them, generally do not lose full control of their bodies (bladder/bowels and other reflexes remain), and importantly, they can last longer than 5 minutes (even hours) without causing long-term damage.
The “do not call the police” point was especially vital for them, because people with PNES are more vulnerable to medical abuse by professionals who think they are “faking” because the seizure isn’t epileptic, and a person with PNES may have medical trauma from being treated cruelly by doctors, family members, etc. while seizing in the past. This study looked at stigma around PNES (also called functional seizures; I’m using PNES because its what my coworker called it):
Literature suggests that it can take years for patients to finally get a diagnosis of FS, but once they receive the diagnosis, it is often met with negative stereotypes and perceptions that lead to stigmatisation and treatment resistance. […] Moreover, with 34 of the 70 included data sources reflecting HCP [healthcare professional] stigma, one of the main themes that arose from this review illustrated the importance of HCPs’ acknowledgement and acceptance of their role in both perpetuating and reducing FS stigma. From our review it became apparent that HCPs’ negative attitudes towards patients with FS persist in the health community, often because of a lack of knowledge, general awareness, understanding and medical training with regards to this disorder
For my coworker, they expressed that one of the most important things for them was to just not be alone, to have someone verbally saying they were with them and it would be alright, and then to be supported according to their needs once the seizure ended. Their seizures were often triggered by stress, or from trauma triggers, so being treated with compassion, having their body respected, and having a calm environment during and after the seizure were very important.
Obviously if you have no other context, its best to assume an epileptic seizure and act accordingly. But to return to the graphic above, check for any kind of ID, whether a tag or medical bracelet or anything else! And do not treat psychogenic / functional seizures as less real or less important, and don’t let anyone around the person who is seizing treat it that way either.
The other day my wife told me about this influencer who said she needed to go on ozempic so she could go from 130 lbs down to 115 and I really cannot stress the degree to which we have so COMPLETELY lost the plot with this glp1 shit. Like not only are people are going on this shit for purely cosmetic purposes, the cosmetic purposes are delusional. This is the kind of mindset that gives people eating disorders but now because you can get a prescription instead of having to starve yourself or enduce vomiting a big swath of the general public seems eager to go along with it. Body Positivity did not go fucking far enough because I am being so real when I say that fatphobia is more of a public health crisis than obesity has ever been
Yes, all of Eclipse V2's creation tend to have sharp teeth/fangs. Even when most of them been recreated, they still follow the blueprint of having fangs.
Expect for Solarflare
Eclipse V2 simple didn't have enough supplies to make a mouth for him.
Eclipse V4 legitimately does not know why V2 did this. Eclipse may have most of V2's memories but not all of it.
But Solar later on does come up with a theory on why.
Happy Pride Month! Even if it's a little bit late.
I'm debating posting the fic mentioned over this month, but it still is not finished, so it'll be released in chapters.
On top of that, i have been toying with ideas of what if Astro met Dyle before the shutdown? Amd some story ideas have spun off from that concept too, which i made a piece for one of these ideas. I'll admit I got lazy near the end and didn't really finish it. I might add more later but i didn't finish it because i'm too tired rn.
(I know Astro only has 2 arms visible here, but the other two are still holding his blanket mostly closed)
I have headcanons for why Twisted Dyle appears this way here. It was a deliberate design choice and a headcanon i carry for him and all the twisteds through all my DW aus. All of which are explained under the cut, as well as the context behind this. Warning: it's kinda long ;v;
In my previous pieces with Twisted Dyle, his eyes are lifeless looking. This is an indicator of how much control he has over himself while twisted. The more lifeless they are, the more twisted he is, which means he usually follows his instincts. When Dyle twists, he dissociates. He's aware, but doesn't usually care to stop what his body is doing (emphasis on usually is important here). For him, his twisted form is his way of processing his day to day stress from keeping Gardenview afloat after the shutdown. He only twisted a couple times before the shutdown. He also has very high sensitivity to sound which is what causes him to snap when he hears something loud, like failed machines, airhorns, or Pebble's barks. I think overstimulation is the best way i can put it, except he lashes out in response to it instead of shutting down.
I also headcanon that Dyle was the first ever toon to twist, however since he was kept in isolation, nobody knew it even happened. I believe that after he spoke with Arthur and Delilah about appearing on the show after the transcript, he was still denied, and he was devastated about it. That devastation twisted into anguish and envy, and that was what caused him to twist. He destroyed the posters on his floor in a rampage, getting ichor everywhere. After he calmed down and untwisted, i imagine he may have tried at least cleaning the ichor up that was on the floor but couldn't clean it thoroughly for some reason (maybe lack of proper cleaning supplies for it) which left it as the faded stains we see on his floor now.
Back to the topic tho, his eyes are more lifelike here because he's in full control. In this case he was stressed and scared, not angry. In the timeline at this time, this would only be Dyle's second time twisting. Astro found him hiding by the train tracks.
Now my Astro headcanons (and partially his canons) play an important part here. Astro can sense when toons are dreaming, however to enter or manipulate their dreams, he would have to get pretty close to them for a stronger connection.
He could always sense every toon when they dream, no matter where he is or where they are as well as the type of dream they're having. This means he could also sense Dyle's dreams. That's how Astro knew he has existed the whole time, however he was unreachable. Dyle often has nightmares, especially nightmares from when he twisted the first time. Astro could sense his stress when he's having those dreams but he can't help him because he doesn't know how to reach him. Even when Dyle isn't having nightmares, his other dreams are often about being on the show with the other toons. These dreams radiate his lonliness which Astro can sense too.
In this case, when Dyle left his floor to hide, he was trying to hide from Delilah. The day was much busier than normal and Dyle was struggling to keep up. He got overwhelmed and twisted that way. They do have an automatic system for the trains, but it's only set up when absolutely necessary. Dyle set it up to give himself a break, but the automatic system is very easily noticeable from the manual one by the higher ups (early technology for such systems so not the greatest), and the day was important so Delilah got frustrated and went to talk with him. He didn't want her finding him in his twisted form so he left his floor and hid himself by the tracks, sticking to the darker areas and using his ichor to hide himself better incase they looked at the cameras. Yes the tracks have cameras, mostly by the stations though so Dyle can control when the trains depart, but some are scattered along the rest of the tracks just to make sure they are going the right ways and nothing goes wrong. He knows how to avoid them though, he knows them like the back of his hand.
At one point, he fell asleep, and began dreaming, so Astro knew where he was, and this time he could be reached, so he went to meet him formally, only to find him twisted. However he could tell it was extreme stress and Dyle was scared. He didn't understand what a twisted was at this time because this was before The Incident. Dyle woke up, Astro didn't run away. Dyle was also entirely coiled up so he didn't look as big as he actually was. His arms were both tucked in and covered by his tail, and his mouth partially hidden by his tail too, so the fangs weren't visible and he wasn't as scary looking despite his appearance and size. Astro offered him comfort and began helping him calm down. At one point Astro did ask for one of his hands, and Dyle gave it to him, giving permission to be touched. The claws caught him off guard but they were relaxed. Astro continued soothing him until he untwisted, which came as a shock to Astro cuz now he knows Dyle wasn't supposed to look like that. They talk and introduce themselves to eachother.
This is just one of many versions i've had for this au idea since i started exploring it. Also i thought this image was cute in my head. I just wish i could see it through to completion, but again, too tired rn, may revisit later and touch it up a bit.
I had a dream that there was a Lego Batman 2 and in the movie Batman and Joker's relationship as hero and villain was going pretty well but all the new villains were getting in the way of their relationship and it made Joker feel bad so he opened up to Batman being like "I feel like your not focusing on me as your main villain" and then they got into an argument and there was a sad montage and I forgot what happened but it ended with Batman deafening some villains than going to Joker and talking to him and then he kissed Joker on the forehead saying something like "You'll always be my main villain" and then I woke up and realized I should stop reading fanfiction before bed.
