i updated her hair style a little (or i can just draw it better now,, because believe it or not,, drawing her hair before confused even me)

mini rant: ok so actually i have soooooOOOOOO many WIPs and gifts on my drawing list but work is still keeping me busy af and just when i thought i would get more free time BOOM,, more work

i keep complaining but i actually really love my job and am very grateful to have it but i just came home from a business trip and only survived on 2 hours of sleep (not kidding), so this lil' sketch of my daughter is the only drawing i managed (it's like medicine for my heart fr fr)

I’ll use this post to vent a little ok? Ok😇

For few weeks (maybe even months) I wasn’t satisfied with the way my drawings turned out, even if I liked them in the beginning I stopped later on, I think I set the bar a bit too high for myself and couldn’t reach it.

I constantly had a feeling Cataria looks too weird and that she ruins the drawing, that my rendering is lame compared to others. I wasn’t even planning on finishing this piece at all but after a talk with a psychologist I realized I started missing the crucial point: drawing for myself.

I stopped having this carefree feeling and thought „if she’s not portrayed as a deep character, it’s not worth it.” or „drawings with her HAS to have her story shown somehow, otherwise it’s useless.”

So here’s Catty doing a silly face, and that’s just it. Enjoy it💙

I’ve been thinking about doing a challenge with six MCs for a while, but I was scared I wouldn’t be able to handle it. That fear’s still there, honestly — burnout, work, bad mood, you name it. But I really want to draw some of my favorite MCs. And hey, maybe I’ll start the challenge later, who knows. Maybe in line art, so I can study it better. I love drawing portraits — they come out easily and quickly (well, quickly for me — like ten hours, but that’s fast in my book). And the first one I decided to draw was Angelina. @howlborne-art, have I mentioned that I like her? I need to say it again. She’s such an adorable girl with cute little fangs and messy hair. Sebastian’s a lucky guy.
