Here is my ‘first’ ever Ron fanart based on a Romione fanfic, called Thunder by @hpfanted14 (it’s still a WIP, and I’ll color it in)
Here’s the line that inspired me:
“So wait, I’m lightening?” Harry shouted over the track, pointing to the scar on his forehead. “And that…and that makes you thunder?” He wiped the tears that were streaming down his cheek as he laughed at the lanky ginger flossing.
“Damn right!” Ron continued undeterred.

There was a hubbub of disjointed chatter in the potions classroom, a clear indication that Professor Slughorn did not hold the 6th year student’s attention. The cauldrons were bubbling with potions of varying levels of success, and apart from Harry’s, none of them looked even remotely acceptable.
Neville had a dark green sludge trying to escape its pewter confines, Seamus and Dean were displaying a great show of teamwork as they stoked and dampened their fire while passionately discussing the finer details of last week’s Quidditch match, while Hermione pushed frizzy hair from her face counting clockwise motions.
“Right then, everyone. Settle down, settle down. Next, we need to locate the fire seeds. I’ve left a selection of various seed-like ingredients on your benches. We find the correct ones by gently touching it to the very tip of the tongue. You should feel a gentle warmth, like you’ve eaten a Scotch Bonnet.” The Professor instructed as he meandered between their stations. “Give it a go, then.”
“What the hell does she even see in that idiot McLaggen? What would they even talk about?” Ron said in hushed angry whispers. “Shit, what did Slug say?”
“Dunno.” Harry looked up from his text book. He’d buried his head the minute Ron started to discuss Cormac for the hundredth time. “Something about checking seeds?” He looked around the room and watched Ernie lick a small brown sphere. “Eat it? I’m not sure, let me check what the Prince says.”
Ron lifted a seed from the first pile and popped it in his mouth before crunching down on it. “Ugh, aniseed. Gross! What am I supposed to be looking for here, mate?”
“Dunno.” Harry repeated, flicking through his intricately annotated textbook. Ron lifted a red seed from the pile. “WAIT…” but the warning was too late.

OK Brit picking tip to help people write Hogwarts authentically #5

Today I'm going to talk about how students address teachers.
The books are pretty standard about this for e.g Harry would call Professor McGonagall either "Professor McGonagall" or simply "Professor".
And that is because this is how British students address their teachers - it is either "title last name" or simply "title"
A British student would never call a teacher by only their last name (e.g "McGonagall") to their face. This would be seen as massively disrespectful.
It would also be massively disrespectful to call a teacher by their first name to their face.
In Harry Potter the teachers tend to be "Professors" and so - when referred to by title - they can all be called "Professor" whether male or female.
The exceptions are Madam Pomfrey and Madam Hooch. They are never simply called "Madam" in the book. That just doesn't hit the British ear right when talking to a teacher. There is, however, one point where Fred calls Madam Hooch "Miss".
“That will do!” shrieked Madam Hooch, zooming between them. “Penalty shot to Gryffindor for an unprovoked attack on their Chaser! Penalty shot to Slytherin for deliberate damage to their Chaser!”
“Come off it, Miss!” howled Fred, but Madam Hooch blew her whistle and Alicia flew forward to take the penalty.
"Miss" is the catch all term for any and all female staff in a British school. It doesn't matter if she is "Mrs." or a "Ms" when said with her last name, when addressed by title only she is "Miss".
The male equivalent of "Miss" is "sir" (though when called by title last name he would be "Mr. Filch" not "Sir Filch" - as that would imply he is a Knight of the realm). The use of "sir" of course gives us the iconic line:
“There’s no need to call me ‘sir,’ Professor.”
The take home message is that the books are accurate in showing that the correct way to address a teacher in a British school is either "title last name" or simply "title". It is not disrespectful to call a teacher by their title alone, but it would be disrespectful to call them by their name (whether first or last) alone.

Hermione took her glass, stepping closer. “Not for a second.”
They clinked glasses. Then—in perfect sync, like they’d done this a thousand times—they both leaned against the counter, drinking in silence. Except this silence felt different. It wasn’t awkward or expectant. It was thick, weighed, charged. Ron’s eyes flickered toward her, considering. Hermione took another slow sip, then turned to catch him looking.
A beat.
Two.
Then—very deliberately—she reached over, plucked the glass from his hand, and set it aside. Ron arched a brow, watching her carefully. Hermione tilted her head, running a finger over the rim of her glass. And then, just as Ron opened his mouth to tease her again—

About 90 wips. I’m going to be deleting a lot of them or I might just share it and end it on a cliffhanger. I’ll see how that goes.

• age-gap Romione fic in which Ron (26) is the piano instructor and Hermione (18) is his student. I like this one because it explores the dynamic they have with each other, in every universe they will love each other. There’s going to be a lot of drama in this one and it has everything to do with Romilda Vane.
• Hermione centric fic where she gets justice for what happened to her during the Slugclub party. Cormac will be held accountable for the vile boy that he is, and I have something in store for Slughorn.
• Tedromeda Muggle AU- Ted is Andromeda’s bodyguard after an attack that happens at her home.
• Tedoire Meet Me Next Christmas fic that I have to edit and post! (Even if the holidays pass I will still post the fic)

Let me explain Hermione Granger's Soul
During the banter of the Romione Fanfic Masquerade I was asked who I preferred...Ron or Hermione...general consensus seemed to be that Ron was the most likeable in the ship. I love Ron as much as the next Romione fan but it made me feel pretty sad for Hermione. I spiralled into overthinking because I believe she's an absolute legend. This little fic arrived and explains it all.
