Hey guys :)

This is my side blog for all things The Pitt !

You can find my eventual works on AO3 under the name hr_violation

I mostly have ideas for Hucklerobby, but this cast has me being a bit of a multi-shipper (why are they all so sexy lol) so...who knows who else I'll post about (definitely also Cassie McKay haha)

I also dabble in digital and traditional art, so that'll be posted at some point too (I'll add tags when I can)

I have a lot of ideas, and a New Year’s resolutions to help me stay on top of working on said ideas, so thank you "The Pitt" for the major inspo ^^

Pitt ponies pt 2

Excuse the one Top gun pony in here it was a doodle page lmao

Trinity Santos as a Unicorn and Jack Abbott as an earth pony, going off the idea that the majority population in Pittsburgh are an odd mix of the two with very few other breeds such as Pegasi and reindeers

Frank Langdon is ofc a Reindeer! He was also going to be a unicorn but I changed my mind halfway through, with the idea that he does have magic yes, however it only manifests as flying and often makes a room brighter and more joyous as an affect of the magic. This also refers to him being Robby’s acolyte before it becomes Dennis as he was the only one to understand the need for flying.

Duude the flying connection with Langdon in the mix?? That's so genius. Like he's special enough to be seen by Robby and the rest as a standout-esk character in The Pitt, but when another pegasus (especially one that Robby can teach and connect with on such a deep level) shows up, he's cast aside (+with his more problematic tendencies...lol maybe he has a "problem" with certain herbs/grasses (or pills still)

But also I can imagine him, post rehab, going camping to like...a cold/northern lights rejuvenating retreat type of thing XD

I wonder if Mel would be a reindeer too?? But could she fly? or would her and Becca not have that ability (at least not as strong. Maybe Mel a bit, and Becca not at all). Because then Mel and Langdon can do the retreat together (his way of helping her to branch out and grow as a person ^^ there ofc would be other reindeer there as well, maybe some from Langdon's NA meetings?

I was just trying to think,, I feel like Baran Al-Hashimi gives "prestigious unicorn" vibes--with a really soft, smooth dark coat. same with Javadi--though I can see her with a mix of whites and browns. Maybe purples because she loves the color XD I can imagine them having really enchanting eyes, too.

Maybe something is wrong with Baran's magic though, and that could then explains her mental lapses/neurological issues?? There's just so many possibilities.

Either way tho, imma give this some more thought XD Ugh it's so fun!! I'm so glad I came across your work/ideas earlier this year

Mildly silly thought but stick with me here-

But imagine it’s with Hucklerobby. But queen Chrysalis is Evil Whitaker (Ogilvie) like you can’t tell me this wouldn’t be kinda peak right??

Like say Robby is brainwashed or if you wanna go for full Mlp and make Ogilvie a changing pretending to be Whitaker to some nefarious reason wether this is a leg up in whatever is the Pitt equivalent in mlp or whatever just run with it mkay

Side note Dennis is absolutely a clumsy Pegasus and I die on that hill, Michael could be Earth pony or Unicorn honestly either one works BUT REGARDLESS Ogilvie is absolutely a changeling through and through

Also twilight in this scenario would be Santos cause she’d immediately catch on that her huckleberry is acting like an ass.

Like yeah this is silly but also it’s so drama and whimsy and I low key wanna draw this out ✨

(Okay excuse any writing mistakes—it’s 3AM but your post just hella inspired me to share some thoughts as well omg)

Okay low-key I feel like Robby also gives Pegasus vibes—but like,, he’s strong and can definitely do some endurance flying (not sure about speed tho,, I don’t think he’s quite nimble enough)

At first I was seeing Whitaker as a earth pony, for obvious reasons—but I can see the clumsy Pegasus too 🤔 Robby inviting him to his house in the “upper end” of Cloudsdale haha

Duuuude what if it’s a world where Pegasi are low-key rare in most medical departments—maybe it’s seen as their wings “get in the way” too often? Among other things.

Like ofc EMS ponies could be pegasi bc they can transport easy and get to places earth ponies couldn’t—but even then, unicorns can teleport

It would be a “what can a pegasus do that a unicorn can’t?” Type of deal

But the thing is, nobody can command an ER like Robby can, nobody knows more than he does

That’s why when Whitaker, a meek clumsy Pegasus shows up—Robby felt his own wings beg to flutter a bit. He was excited—he wasn’t the only one.

DUDE MAYBE—okay, maybe he grew up on an earth pony farm!! Like it was a genetic one-in-a-million fluke when Dennis was born with wings (from his mother’s side I’d guess) so he was always sort of looked down upon (maybe that’s why he doesn’t know how to use his wings very well?)

Omfg bruh. Like,,, Robby instinctually desiring to extend his wing to cover Witaker’s back, or refer to something between them even though it’s frowned upon to extend them in the work place???

Like duh Whitaker is still going to have a flush across his cheeks when Robby’s feathers brush against his back or leg, regardless of whether they’re extended or still by his sides.

Like dude. Robby giving Whitaker lessons about Pegasi history, and that’s why maybe he’d bring him to Cloudsdale one day—taking him to a museum or two, a factory even (imagine the snowflake factory potential cuteness), then grabbing a local cuisine lunch/sweet treat :,)

Maybe it’s a little colder in Cloudsdale and Whitaker isn’t used to it (ofc) so Robby lends him a scarf 😭

As much as I love the idea of Robby sharing Cloudsdale with Dennis tho, I can totally see Robby as having a second (more primary) home on the ground, with a little farm in the back for herbs and such.

It’s be on the outskirts of town, but he’d still be semi-active in the community/buying from the local stores (I imagine him as a huge fan of bakery items ^^ like he’s not the leanest Pegasus in the world that’s for sure <3 tubby pony Robby anyone?? Just an idea)

After a while he might even invite Dennis over for dinner and tell him about his grandmother and his woes with the family home up in the clouds T-T

Okay okay,, I’ll cool the jets (for now). But also now I want to draw it, write it, AND make Ponytown renditions of them <3 (if anyone knows what that is, bless up haha)

There’s sooo much potential here it’s crazy

Sorry if my handwriting is awful btw I’m aware it kinda sucks,,

But man do I have a love hate relationship with making cutie marks, Dennis was fun cause it’s basically the paramedic symbol which works out cause it looks like a snowflake and it somewhat symbolizes emergency medicine,

Robby I went with a more bird like theme and yes I think I’m funny basing his design off of a Robin, but anyways he has the Rod of Asclepius which is a Greek mythology symbol for medicine and it works out cause sometimes it has wings similar to the staff of Hermes so yknow feathers cause Pegasus..

Uber late repost...had to create a twitter account to pair with the application & also graduate from college haha, but!! I have a fun update to this :)

I made Pony Town versions of these two! ^^

Robby was difficult because there aren't really any multi-leg designs (for the feathers) nor short hair options...or anything to add little crows feet/show age, but I think they turned out pretty good otherwise. I wanted to add a video of their flying animations? Alas it's a repost, so I can't T-T

I did color picker so the shades should be the same or there about to your og colors!! Lmk if you'd like all of the hex codes to make your own

+ a few alts below,,,I just want to keep making them ha. Little S1 whitaker and S2 Robby (with the glasses whew 0-0 you just know he'd have to wear a little chain to keep them from flying away or falling from a high distance in the event he had to stop and look at a map for directions lol! XD)

Seeing them come to life a bit more makes me wanna see them in a lil server--sweet Pitt Pony!AU Roleplay moment XD

Definitely feeling inspired to write...and now that I have some extra time, I just might!!

Comparing and contrasting Robby's interactions with Samira vs Whitaker as he spirals further and further downward and out of control is just so much more interesting to me when you take the genders of everyone involved out of it for a second. And I'm not saying that criticisms of Robby as someone with misogynistic biases are completely unfounded or unworthy of discussion, but there is also just so much more there.

It is abundantly clear that Robby sees Samira as a younger, less broken reflection of himself, as has been discussed in great length by people who are far more articulate than I will ever be. But I also see so many people arguing that Robby sees Whitaker through the same lens, so why isn't he treated the same way? And I actually so vehemently disagree with that interpretation, at least in so far as this season goes. I don't think Robby particularly sees himself in Whitaker, I think he feels seen by Whitaker, in more ways than one, and that is the crux of where Robby's attitude towards them differs.

The more Robby's self-loathing manifests, the more critical he becomes of Samira, and seemingly the tighter he attempts to draw Whitaker into his life. Abbot compliments Al Hashimi and says they'll be fine without him, accidentally hitting on Robby's biggest insecurity, and Robby immediately goes to offer Whitaker his house. Samira has a panic attack, so identical to the one Robby still hates himself for, and Robby introduces Whitaker to his motorcycle mentor and tells him how much he trusts him. And I don't see either of these actions as really about Whitaker personally or professionally, but rather what he represents to Robby. Someone who saw him at his weakest moment, guarded his most shameful secret, and still looks up to him as a respected teacher anyway; Someone who makes Robby feel like he isn't the catastrophic failure he views himself as.

Robby is suicidal. Perhaps at the start of the shift it was a more passive ideation, but as the hours drag on he's becoming becoming firmer and firmer in his convictions. And in this, keeping Whitaker close provides him both comfort in feeling seen in his final moments and the belief that he's tying up all his loose ends, that Whitaker will remain quiet and loyal inside the box he's tightly enclosing around himself--something that is inevitably going to blow up in both of their faces.
