Sohvi smiled back at the woman, gesturing for her to go on. “Yes, you’re welcome to, they’re always happy to be petted.”
Aphrodite smiled and started petting the dogs, “They’re so beautiful! Sorry, I just love dogs so much. I should probably introduce myself while I’m obsessing over your dogs. I’m Aphrodite,” she stretched out a hand to shake it.
Taking her morning run, dogs in tow, was one of Sohvi’s favorite parts of the day — it was the only time she really had any peace. Too wrapped up in her thoughts, she didn’t realize there was someone else nearby until one dog slowed and the other two stopped, tugging on their leashes and almost toppling her. Looking up, she gave the person a cordial smile.
“Nice morning, isn’t it?”
Aphrodite stopped dead in her tracks when she noticed the dogs. She had been out for a morning run and was dreading every second of it but once she saw the dogs she was happy she had left her room this morning. “It’s even better now!” She smiled widely and started beinding down to pet one of the dogs before stopping and looking up, “I’m sorry, I should probably ask first, may I?” She asked, gesturing to the dogs.

“Give her back to me.” he joked as a reaction to her words. “Oh please, we both know you missed me already. Why else would you show up here with cookies? And don’t tell me it’s for Tainá, she can’t eat cookies. And Gaia’s not here now.” and he failed to remember where she had gone. She was probably with Armani.
“Nope,” Aphrodite laughed softly and shook her head. “Pfft. You’re projecting, you’re the one that has missed me terribly. I came for Gaia but I didn’t know she wasn’t here so, I’m settling for second best. You better save some of those cookies for her.”

“As long as you don’t try to steal my daughter…” thankfully she wasn’t one to cry whenever in the arms of people that weren’t him or Gaia, if she did they’d have a hard time. “Every accent is weird, stop trying to find flaws in me. Well I haven’t been around much, a lot less than I usually am.” which wasn’t already a lot.
“Well I can’t promise that,“ she joked with a smile. “I almost thought you left the island and left me behind. I was about to send a search party for you. Not because I’d miss you or anything, but I wouldn’t have anyone else to annoy,“ the last part was clearly a lie, even if she wouldn’t admit it, Aphrodite would miss him too much if he ever decided to leave the island.
Three commonly overrated things in your opinion?
“I want to say money but it’s easy to say that when you have it. I can’t come up with something right now, everything is importand to somebody at least.“
Favourite part of being the younger sibling?
“You have a bunch of people looking out for you and you can learn from their mistakes. Also, parents become less strict the more kids they have so even though I’m pretty well behaved, I know I got away with a few things some of my siblinggs didn’t.“
do you wish you could partake more on politics?
“I do what I can nationally, I am quite involved in making sure my people are safe and taken care of. When it comes to the war though, not really. I wish it would just end and if it was up to me we’d be neutral and just stay out of the whole thing as much as possible.“
Do you have favourite song? A song that you’ve been listening for years and it doesn’t get boring?
“Literally any Selena song. I’d say Dreaming Of You but it makes me want to cry.“
If you could pick, which alliance would you be in other than your current one?
“I don’t really have a pick right now. All the alliances have their cons and their pros. Maybe Alacrity?“

“I’ll give you a call whenever she starts crying so you can tell me what she wants.” he put another cookie in his mouth. “It’s what people call accents, Dite, you have one too. Everyone has an accent. They’re not all close and that will be her decision to make.” he pointed to the little girl in her arms. “This and work? Nothing besides that though. You?”
“I’ll be more than willing to help,“ Dite spoke while smiling at the baby. She wasn’t the type to get baby fever easily but holdin Taína in her hands right now was quite nice. “Well your accent is weird. I feel like I haven’t seen you at all lately. I haven’t been up with much. Just paperwork and stuff like that.“

“I do like tea, although I usually only have it if we run out of coffee. And I have my own special coffee cup at home” Katriana chuckled. “My mother is the exact same, I honestly don’t know if I should be impressed or not. I need to stop my coffee intake a few hours before heading to bed.”
“I had to bring my cup with me, it was one of the first things I packed actually. It’s nice to have a little bit of home when you’ve been gone for so long. Right? My brother isn’t very normal. I’m that way with energy drinks though so maybe there’s something wrong with me too.“

He just ordered the first thing he saw at the menu, not really caring about the food. He wasn’t really picky with it and that wasn’t the focus of their lunch either way, no need to waste time trying to choose a dish. Her words brought a smirk to his face instantly, he just loved when people went straight to the point. “Yes, I spoke to your father on the phone, he said he’s willing to support us so I take this meeting is meant to discuss the terms of it?”
Aphrodite was glad with how the lunch was going so far, she hated small talk, there was no need to make this discussion any longer than it had to be. She nodded her head, “yes. We mexicans know a little something about seeking independence from Spain and we know how important independence can be. We are willing to provide you with military and limited financial support. In returnt, we simply expect you to support us in the same manner in the future. Is there anything specific you need that we might be able to provide you with?”
pedrocmalmeida
“I guess you forgot to tell me.” he shrugged, focusing on eating the cookies without giving her the satisfaction of complimenting her baking skills but not taking his eyes off Tainá. “She’s only four months old, stop putting so much pressure on her. Geez. Learning so many languages at the same time must be confusing.”
“Well now you know so if you ever need a translator, you know where to find me,“ she chuckled. “It’s better if learns them early rather than later, then she won’t speak it weirdly like you do. Besides, they’re all pretty close, she’ll have no problem learning those three languages. Anyways, what have you been up to?“
pedrocmalmeida
Pedro carefully placed his daughter on Dite’s arms, letting go of her and eating more freely. “And you know that from the long conversation you two just had right?” he joked, not being able not to pick on Dite. “First of she doesn’t even speak yet so calm down, second we’re gonna make sure she’s well in english, portuguese and italian first then, if she wants to, she’ll pick another language.”
“Yes. Don’t you know I’m the baby whisperer?“ Aphrodite spoke seriously with a hint of humour, she was actually pretty good around kids. “She’s a smart girl, she’ll learn how to speak soon enough. Of course she’s going to want to learn spanish, it’s her Auntie Dite’s language. I’ll start teaching her as soon as she says her first word. ¿Verdad, cariño?“
