i wonder what would happen if butters’ misogyny would be treated the same way as other characters’ fuck-ups. every now and then I stumble upon long-ass posts about who was right and who was wrong in you’re getting old/assburgers, or what happened with craig in buddha-box, or literally every aspect of eric cartman’s personality (again, butters is far from being as bad as cartman, but they do share some antagonistic traits). however, when it comes to butters everyone is either silent or says that “he didn’t know what he was doing, he blindly followed what his friends did! he is way too innocent for this!”. the thing is he is not. his hatred towards women is something that he had for 10+ seasons. hell, we even have a whole season about it, not even a few random episodes. misogyny is not encouraged neither by his classmates nor his family, it doesn’t give butters social points or whatever. it’s rooted in his belief system. why? i have no idea, it’s up for discussion. what really annoys me tho, is that we don’t discuss it at all. and i get it if you don’t want to mention it in your fanworks. misogyny is nasty, man. but if we’re trying to analyze something here or even if we’re trying to simply follow what is going on in the show rn, we need to understand that it is who butters is, not to sweep it under the rug as if nothing happened lmao

they both play genshin but craig is a HUGE meta player, he makes math based guides and streams 36* abyss every two days, and stan doesnt know shit about building characters but he basically is gacha addict and he once spent 300$ on his favorite 5* and couldnt pay his rent
