note ゛ ⸝⸝.ᐟ⋆ first post! hooray. fingers crossed that you all can enjoy it. don’t forget that you can request!! 𝜗𝜚
“wonbin. you’re so weird.” it all started in school. let’s say it was around 6th grade! you met wonbin. it was a forced move that you weren’t a big fan of. the town was a lot smaller, less shops, and more walking. way more walking. you swore it took hours just to get to the very nearest convenience store! pure agony.. and then came school. the only good thing about it was less bullying.
kids were nicer. better manners at least. you were able to make friends quite quickly and one of those friends was park wonbin. he was such a sweet and funny boy but got on your nerves sometimes. that’s when the tiny crush started. not for you but for him. wonbin would wait for you outside of the classroom, walk with you to lunch, sit next to you—he would even help you with a lot of the homework you both got. “I know a lot about this topic. trust me!” he’d say. you’d sometimes watch him. he was kinda cute. wait a second.. gross! he wasn’t cute. that was just your kind playing silly little tricks!
and before you knew it, high school started. wonbin filled out a bit more. his shoulders became much more broad and his hair was a lot longer with pretty bangs. his voice deepened but he was still the same sweet and caring wonbin you knew back in middle school. it was.. almost pure agony—like you had felt from the move. why? because you think a crush was developing. what you didn’t know is that wonbin had felt the same. felt the same for a very long time now. he was in love.
“this was.. my entire paycheck. do you know that? and you ate them all! how could you do this to me?” wonbin tried so hard to sound hurt. his acting was almost just almost believable ( if it wasn’t for his nerdy smile ) and you giggled. “come on bin! you know how much I love these little things!” the little things being dum dum lollipops. wonbin knew that, secretly. that’s why he had bought a huge container of them. making sure to pick out every single flavor but the cotton candy one’s. why? those were your favorite! “you’re lucky your cute.” is all he said before leaving the room, his face burning with embarrassment. he’d always compliment you like that.
another day. week. month. year. passes and wonbin is still by your side. the same wonbin from before. quirky but cute. quiet but funny. he would do the most nicest things for you and it was hard to understand why he always did such things but you never said anything or questioned it. until.. you met sohee. sohee was a fun and goofy person. cute. so cute that when he asked you out—it shocked you because why you? what was so special about little ole you? wonbin’s heart sank.
he couldn’t sit back and watch this happen. he was the one that was supposed to ask you out and crossed his fingers for the best to happen but sohee beat him to it. wonbin wasn’t going to give up. that’s why he spent a total of 13 days finding, buying, and gathering all of the cotton candy dum dums he could—just for you. maybe for him as well but mostly you! shaping the lollipops into a bouquet of flowers. with the help of a lot of hot glue and determination. you’d call and text over and over again wanting to hear his voice, wondering where he had been and what he was doing away from you for this long. your heart raced as he continued to ignore you and it only made you more upset. but that all was resolved the second he showed up at your doorstep.
soaked. “what the hell wonbin! where have you been? I..I was worried sick about you! don’t ever do that to me again.” he felt your pain and anger. it was all going to be so worth it, he promised. well.. to himself at least. his hands were behind his back and he tried so hard to remember his lines. he wrote them down but lost the paper in the storm.. the paper blew away. now he was stuck. all of this had to come from his heart and soul.
“yn.. I think I love you. wait no! I—I do love you. I came here to tell you that. I don’t want you to go work with sohee. I—I want you to go out with me. I am so sorry for leaving the way I did. I had a reason and.. it might be really silly but..” wonbin pulled the bouquet of flowers, no dum dums from behind his back and got down on his knees as the rain continued to pour down on him.
“will you please just give me a chance?” he looked at you once, twice, almost a third time before his head lowered. what if you said no? was already head over heels for sohee? then what? what if this was all for nothing and he—“of course my bin.” and what if.. his brain had almost turned off. all of the sudden, the tiny voice that belonged to him shut off and all he heard was the sound of the harsh rain coming down onto the porch. “what?” he asked and all you could do was smile. he was still a dum dum. your dum dum that is.
“I said yes! I.. love you wonbin.” at this point he didn’t even care about the lollipops because he dropped them and immediately stood up, eyes locked onto your own. slowly but now confidently he wrapped his arms around your waist—pulling you into a warm, tight, and loving hug. you didn’t care he was wet and he didn’t even remember he was wet. “what about sohee?” his voice was gentle now, almost a whisper. you shook your head, “he’s not my dum dum. it’s always been you.” and wonbin smiled. that pretty, quirky little smile that you adored oh so much. without warning, you leaned in to press a kiss to his lips and his pretty boba eyes widened. “that was our first kiss!” “oh hush!!” you whined out in embarrassment, hiding your face in the warmth of his neck. listening to his soft chuckle.
