'Meeting the Love of my Life...' crying in the club rn ✌
Asher: Hello everyone! This is my ex-girlfriend Michaela!
Michaela: You have to stop introducing me like that.
Michaela: I’m his wife.
thinking about Them
First and last appearance of the Keating 5 and Oliver
All I want to do is make you happy.
this was not how frank deserved to die, suffering and hating himself.
So, here is the truth about me. I’ve worn a mask every day of my life. In high school, it was a smile that I faked to get boys to like me. In law school, I changed my name to sound more “New England.” At the law firm, I wore heels, makeup, and a wig. And when I got married, I threw myself into becoming a Keating, and it was all to create a version of myself that the world would accept. But I’m done. Instead, I stand before you, mask off, to tell you the God’s honest. I have done many a bad thing. I’ve coerced witnesses, got clients to lie on the stand, bullied students to tears, manipulated jurors like you. But those are not the crimes I’m being tried for. It’s murder. And I am no murderer. What I am is a survivor. I survived getting taunted by the N-word when I was in grade school. I survived the sexual abuse by my uncle when I was 11. I survived losing my first love, Eve, because I was scared to be gay. Then the death of my son in a car accident, the murder of my husband, then alcoholism, depression, grief, and every death leading up to this trial. But today, you decide. Am I a bad person? Well, the mask is off, so I’m gonna say yes. But am I the criminal mastermind who pulled off a series of violent murders? Hell no. Who I am is a 53-year-old woman from Memphis, Tennessee, named Anna Mae Harkness. I am ambitious, black, bisexual, angry, sad, strong, sensitive, scared, fierce, talented, exhausted. And I am at your mercy.
That finale was…something. Governor Lynne Birkhead was assassinated as deserved, but Frank and tragically Bonnie did not survive the endgame and died after being shot by Birkhead’s security. Jorge Castillo is dead. Michaela ended up alone, but achieved her dreams of becoming sworn into the law just as she desired from the beginning. Connor and Oliver eventually reunited and stayed together. Mama Harkness died peacefully. Annalise and Tegan at one point were together and for the time found love. Annalise died peacefully after a tumultuous legacy as a prosecutor and a victory of freedom, and I’m at peace with that. Gabriel fled home. Christopher is now leading Criminal Justice 100. I’m not mad at this finale. It felt like a lot was crammed in and moved too fast at the end, but answers were given and Annalise winning her case while fighting on her own does give a feeling of catharsis after everything she’s been through. I’m going to miss this series and everyone I’ve blogged with. Thank you, Shonda Rhimes, for an amazing show.
what a damn speech. missing annalise already
Asher: *rolls over in bed and knees Michaela in the side*
Michaela: Ow! You kneed me!
Asher, half asleep: You’re right, I do need you...
Asher: Hey guys, I’m an owl-coholic! I love owls.
Gabriel: Who the fuck brought this guy?
Asher, stifling a laugh: hey, can- can you say that first word again?
Michaela: I don’t have time to tell you how wrong you are.
Michaela: ... Actually it’s gonna annoy me if I don’t.
Connor: Being gay isn’t a choice.
Connor: *grabbing Oliver’s hand* It’s a game and I’m winning.
Prayers are for the weak. I’ll stick to beating your ass in court.
Viola Davis as Annalise Keating in How to Get Away with Murder (2014-2020)
Connor: I want a divorce.
Everyone:
We haven’t seen Eve at all so if she’s not in this finale i’m writing it off as the worst finale ever
Honestly...fair unless of course teagan and Annalise end up together I’ll take that too
this aged beautifully. well done.
