her touch is like a light in the darkest tunnel and his emerald hues drop and zero in on her pale skin against his own. without his permission his thumb rubs over the back of her hand, feeling the softness of her flesh, how silky and smooth and he breathes heavily through his nose. goodness, he’d miss that. how she felt beneath him, his hands roaming over her tiny, yet curvy frame and committing each and every curve and dip to memory. savannah was going to be a memory that comes back to haunt him, leaving him hungry for affection and succumbing to only the touch of his own hand. she speaks and her voice sinks in and he can’t hep the way her works affect him, eyes close and he groans heavily. she’s speaking to someone who didn’t have much self restraint and he can feel the string tethering away. “you realize how much that’ll hurt us?” he’ll ask, his fingers slipping between her own, while his settles on the curve of her waist. 

his words are saying one thing but his actions are saying another, one that is clicking more with the girl, she reads it so easily and that’s all she wants right now. “only if you walk away.” she whispers as she settles in closer to him, her free hand moving to cup his cheeks, her thumb moving over the skin softly. “one last time,” her head moves to rest against his forehead, wanting nothing more but him at that moment. she forgot about the complications and what was really going on because at the end of the day it didn’t matter to her – she wanted to be happy, and he made her happy.

“i suppose you’re right.” it hit him hard, a deer in headlights as he realizes that they had truly never taken the chance to getting to know one another. it was as though it didn’t matter and at the time it didn’t, because he only wanted one thing and she did as well. nothing else mattered - but then… well this happened. “you’re a child.” his head nods as he agrees with her. it’s more than obvious that they’re in different places in their life. milo had been forced to grow up quickly with the past he suffered through. grew up to watch out for his sister, to make sure that he was able to survive. solemnly he shakes his head, lips turning down into a bit of a frown as he realizes that they’re at stand still. “i don’t know what to tell you sav.” his voice, though deep was more soft than usual and once again the man avoids eye contact. “it’s obvious that you and i aren’t ready for anything remotely serious and if….” a pause and he licks over his lips. “i don’t know what i’m saying. we just can’ do this anymore.” 

“thanks, you didn’t agree with that.” her tongue is bitter, she doesn’t like hearing the truth, mostly because he was the one person she was hoping wouldn’t agree with her about that. all the words he’s saying are nothing that she wants to hear and it’s definitely not like her to want to let him go. savannah doesn’t realize that she reaches out to put her hand on his, but she does, feeling the so natural that it hurts her to do it. “not even one last time?” maybe that’s what she needs, closure. she moves closer to him, trying to catch his eyes as she does so. “i can’t leave this book open, if we end it i...don’t think we can end it just like that.” who were they kidding? there was no ending it for them – there would always be a milo and savannah in some sense.

the infectious beat of the current song blasted through her speaker. she wound her body around as she ticked her hips from side to side. small pearls of sweat began to line her brows and under her neck. her eyes grazed herself in the mirror briefly as a breathy grin formed on her face. she relaxed her muscles, shuffling over to her bag for a quick sip of water. one of her favorites popped up on the shuffled playlist and instantly, it brought her back to her hometown. she remembered the first time her friends introduced her to the song. the intro leading up to the beat drop. almost subconciously, she began belting out the words. her head began to bobble and her body followed suit. she rarely let loose like this in public for fear of public humiliation. but of course she made special accomidations for moments like this

savannah couldn’t help but stare at the girl as she shout out the lyrics to the song that was playing in the store. she looked around to see if anyone else was looking at the same thing as she was but apparently it was just savannah. “oh my gosh” she laughed before clapping at the girl for doing something she knew she would never have been able to do. “bravo my friend.”

“Exactly, I mean it’s not the best paying job in the world but some type of income is better than none at this point for me.” She laughed. “Ooooh, someone’s got a date? What’s his name?” Her eyebrow raised. “And you can surely spend some time with me while you wait, I’m obviously not doing much else plus the company is greatly appreciated.”

       dark hues were trying hard to stay focused on the girl’s features, yet a few seconds into locking eyes with the girl tarek couldn’t help but look down at his shoes. “ just wanted to drop by & say hi. ” that couldn’t have been farther from the truth seeing as it seemed to be ingrained into tarek’s head to go to sav’s when he wasn’t feeling well. but yet all he did was stand there before taking a moment to look up; offering a little wave. “ so—- hi. ”

there was something off about the boy that was standing in front of her, he looked...upset? angry? nervous? either way, it made her heart sink to the bottom of her stomach. no matter how long ago they broke up she always wanted to be there for him. taking a small step towards him, she put her hand on his shoulder and locked eyes. “hi.” she whispered back before her hand moved to cup at his cheek, her eyes soft as she looked into his.
