Peyton had hoped that she would have managed to pick herself up before he even had the chance to get to her, yet she was still struggling to actually do so. Of course she was able to move, she’d already proved that by picking the leaves out of her hair, it was just the actual sitting up without the world feeling like it was moving. “Yes? No? Maybe?” She found herself answering while not actually being clear. “Just maybe give me a second? There’s currently two of you when I’m pretty sure there’s not suppose to be and the last time I checked you did not have a twin Asher.”
Asher tried to hide his amused smirk knowing it probably wasn’t the time. “Here.” He stated holding a hand out to her while using his other to help pull her up. As she got to her feet asher kept his hand gently on her shoulders steadying her. “I mean, I’ve been told my brothers look like me but I don’t think they’d pass as my twin.”
hufflefaye·:
“You’d have missed out on a great date then.” Faye said, tilting her head up with a sure smile on her lips. “But I’m glad I showed up early if that is the case.” She certainly wouldn’t be happy if she had turned up to find that her date had left – she’d probably think he hadn’t shown at all. “Although, top tip, girls like to be fashionably late sometimes.” She told him with a smile. “Not an awful lot, actually. Considering.” Other than the usual drama with her sister, things seemed rather boring. “What about you, Mr. Miller?”
The male smirked in reply. “I’m sure I would have. Well, it’s lucky that didn’t happen then.” He replied with a smile. “I don’t mind people being a little late, but if they’re over 30 minutes late and I’ve not heard anything from them, well, it’s safe to say I’m not hanging around,” Asher replied with a shrug it probably seemed rude and unfair to most but his obsession with time was one of the male’s many quirks. “Now that doesn’t sound like you.” He replied raising a brow. “Nothing worth mentioning if I’m honest.”
hufflefaye·:
“If only I could honestly say that.” Faye laughed lightly. Truth was, the only reason she was early to this was because it was outside and that was kind of her element. “You should count yourself lucky I’m early.” She winked, joking of course. “Always good.” Faye answered his question with a smile. It was mostly true, too. “A little,” she shrugged, “but we have plenty of time to catch up.”
Asher gave a small chuckle. “I probably would have left if you were late.” He admitted with a sheepish look. If there was one thing he hated it was tardiness, and considering he didn’t even want to be there in the first place, well, he wasn’t sure he would have been able to force himself to stay. The male nodded smiling. “Glad to hear it.” He replied before nodding once again. “Yes, I suppose we do.” Asher fell silent again feeling a little awkward with the whole situation. “So, what’s been going on in the life of Faye Beckett?”

Peyton had been happily sat in the tree in her front garden as she watched the world go by, using the chance to hide away from her mother’s ‘visitor’ and whatever fake story she would be fed this time. The young witch wasn’t sure how long it had been before she was falling asleep, only to lose her balance and come crashing down to the floor with a thud. She could feel the wind brushing her cheeks as she fell and the stability to slip beneath her causing her to jolt awake cursing. It was as she had been in the middle of picking herself off the floor wincing that she heard Asher’s voice, her cheeks and ears turning red in embarrassment. “Yep. Sure, yeah, everything is fine. Great.” She tried to call out, though it sounded more like a croak.
The male tilted his head slightly trying to work out what she was doing. Pulling his door to he stepped out of the house and walked over to her. “Are you sure?” He asked raising his brow, very much doubting that she was okay by the tone of her voice and her position on the floor. “Do you need some help?” Asher asked cautiously approaching as he hovered over her.
hufflefaye·:
Watching a large figure emerge from the trees to the side of her, Faye felt a smile grow on her lips. Well, at least it was someone she knew, though it would be an amusing conversation to have with Lucy. “Fashionably late.” She said, looking up at him and knowing full well that he was not late. He was, in fact, early. She had just been even earlier. Faye pat the blanket beside her, motioning him to sit down. “How are you, handsome?” She winked at the wizard, noticing how awkward he seemed already.
The male shook his head. “I’m not late, I’ve never been late in my life. I think you’ll find that you’re early.” He replied with a small shrug, smiling at the blonde. A small sigh fell from his lips as he slowly lowered himself to the ground taking a seat next to Faye. Asher ran a hand through his hair as he gave an awkward smile at the witch’s words. “I’m alright thanks, how about you? It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”
jeanpuff·:
Jean nodded, surprised at Asher’s own surprise. The blond was certainly not the most astute, particularly not when it came to his own situations, but surely it was obvious that Asher gained the attention of many. Although, whether that was an exaggerated thought based on the fact he had dated Lucy before, or an accurate one, who knew? “You are a real ladies man.” He said, joking that time for Asher didn’t quite fit the stereotypes that accompanied those kind of individuals. Jean shrugged at Asher’s further comment, shifting in his chair and playing with the cardboard that sat around his to-go cup, spining it around the cup as he spoke. “You can fix it if you like.” It really didn’t bother Jean in the slightest and if it made his friend feel a bit more comfortable then why would he complain. “It might stop me looking like an idiot.” He winked at the other wizard. Jean leaned forward again. “Elodie wanted me to get fixed up properly.” He admitted, his hand moving to adjust his hat before he thought better of it and just scratched the back of his head instead. “But I think she is just happy I went in the first place.” He pressed his lips together for a moment, remembering how insistent she had been in the first instance. “But the bones are healed so – the most important bits.” He offered the wizard a wide smile.
Asher couldn’t help the laugh that fell from his lips. “A ladies man? Now I know you’re pulling my leg.” He wasn’t sure what really consisted of being a ladies man but he was pretty sure he didn’t count as one, he’d only actually ever slept with one woman. The wizard smile appreciatively at his friend as he was granted permission to alter his hat. “I think you’re going to need more than me fixing your crooked hat to help with that.” Asher joked with a smirk. “Of course she did. I would expect nothing less.” He replied with a smile. His eyes followed the male’s hands as they went towards his hat. Asher could almost feel himself wincing at the thought of his friend moving it and making it crooked again but thankfully he stopped just as his hands came to the cap. “Yeah, I guess you make a fair point. I’d imagine the cuts and bruises wouldn’t take too long to heal.” He mused with a shrug. “Did you ever find out who did it?” Asher asked letting curiosity get the better of him.

Asher was in the hall near his door when he heard a loud bang on the other side of his front door. Whatever it was, it must have been really loud for the male to have heard it. Furrowing his brow he walked up to the front door pulling it open only to be met with his neighbour. “Peyton? Is, erm, is everything okay?”

Faye walked into the clearing where she had been instructed to go for her date. It was chilly, but luckily it had been warming up since the small amount of snow they’d had a month earlier. A beige coat draped over her small frame as she walked through the tall grass. Sure enough there was a picnic blanket set out in front of her, complete with the basket and a bucket of wine. No sight of anyone else though, so she just strolled over and took a seat, her back resting on the trunk behind her, waiting for whoever this blind date system had deemed lucky enough to join her.
Asher really didn’t want to go on the date, he’d considered not turning up but he couldn’t bring himself to stand whoever he was meeting up. Fidgeting with his hands he slowly made his way to the small field where he’d been instructed to meet his date. He felt the nerves building up inside him as he saw a blonde female sitting down on a picnic blanket. As he drew closer he noticed how pretty she was which just made him feel even more nervous. “Erm, hi.” He stated ducking his head slightly as he gave her a small awkward wave while making his way over to the tree.
jeanpuff·:
Jean shook his head, a light blush turning his cheeks a little pink in embarrassment. “I guess you would – you always have girls around you.” He said, considering his friend’s words. The blonde’s eyes followed the wizard’s hand as he reached towards him, looking up as he took hold of his cap to adjust it on his behalf. He didn’t contest it. “It’s always crooked.” He replied, a wide smile on his lips. “It might not last long.” He warned his friend. Jean himself had a habit of readjusting it often, so he’d probably do so without even noticing. “Right – yeah, of course.” He laughed lightly. “I didn’t stay for much longer than that, so they might have but–” he cut off with a shrug.
The male’s brows knitted together. “I do?” He’d never really considered himself a ladies man or anything, he had his fair share of female friends but he wasn’t a flirt and he’d never really had many girlfriends or any flings, with the exception of his ex-girlfriend Lucy. Asher gave a small chuckle. “I know, it always bugs me. I’ll try and control myself next time.” He replied with another sheepish smile. Normally if he considered his urges rude he would try to distract himself and keep his hands busy in order to suppress the urge to lean forward and adjust the things that bugged him. The wizard gave his friend a small amused smile. “What did Elodie say?”
slytherinhightower·:
“It’s probably for the best.” Wyatt gave a fake mournful look at the idea. “It’s like you want to get on my bad side Miller.”
Asher laughed at the wizard. He honestly didn’t understand how anyone could find the male intimidating, personally, he felt most of it was an act. “I didn’t realise there was another side to be on? You mean you’ve had a good side all this time and you never told me?” He feigned a look of shock and horror before a laugh bubbled from his lips as he tugged his sleeves down over his wrists.
jeanpuff·:
“Well your tone implies that I am right.” Jean pointed out, shaking his head with a smile on his lips. “And I just don’t think it would work out.” Answering his question that time. “I didn’t. That might have made them a little mad. They were trying to help.” It was just that they weren’t doing it as quickly as he would have liked. “But who wants to sit in the hospital all day?” Jean had a hard time sitting anywhere for the whole day, but the hospital was somewhere he would rather not step foot in at all. “I asked them to hurry up – nicely, but I don’t think they did.”
“Hey, man, I’m just trying to help you out. The girl is definitely interested in you. I have an eye for this type of thing.” Asher explained to his friend smiling before leaning forward across the table to readjust the male’s cap. He’d been staring at it for the past five minutes unable to distract himself from it he decided to finally put it the way it should have been. “It was crooked.” He explained a little quieter this time as he withdrew his hands rather sheepishly sitting back down. “Sarcasm buddy.” The male just replied with a smirk. “But I suppose you make a fair point.” He gave a shrug. “I bet they ended up taking longer on purpose after that.”
jeanpuff·:
“If I trusted you on this one, I am sure it would not end well.” Jean joked, a laugh falling from his lips. “Told you.” He offered the wizard a victorious smile. The blond shrugged and took a sip from his to-go cup. “They should be quicker. It’s a waste of the day otherwise.”
“I’m almost offended. Why ever would you think that?” He feigned being hurt as he held a hand to his chest. Ash just shook his head with a small trace of a smirk. “What helpful advice, did you tell them that?”
jeanpuff·:
A nervous laugh left the blonde’s lips and he adjusted his position in the seat. “I think that is just the leftover bruising.” Jean met the wizard’s gaze. “No, you were definitely worried.” He joked back. “Isn’t that just the same thing?”
Asher couldn’t help but smile at the male. He wasn’t sure whether he was just being modest or whether he was just oblivious. “Nope, trust me on this one.” He flashed the blond a smile. “Okay, maybe a little bit worried.” He retorted smirking. “No Jean, but I suppose it might be for you.”
slytherinhightower·:
“Well I could think of others way that I could blow off steam, though I do hate to resort to such uncivilised methods.” Wyatt let out an exaggerated sigh. “Oh please, you’re life would be dreadfully boring without me in it.”
“I’m not sure I even want to ask.” He replied with a chuckle as he shook his head at the male. “Mate, my life is dreadfully boring with you in it.” Asher laughed grinning.
jeanpuff·:
Jean smiled slightly at the picture in his head. He hadn’t been watching her quite as intensely. He had barely noticed that she was there before following Asher’s gaze to her. But it was an amusing thought, nonetheless. “I hope they give her one then, if she is putting that much effort into it.” He joked, leaning back into the chair. Jean shrugged, gaze flitting down to the cup in his hand before finding Asher’s gaze again. “I’m good, you don’t have to worry about me.” He informed his friend. “Mostly healed up, but they just take so long at the healers.”
“If they don’t you could always give her one, I’m sure she would appreciate it from you, I mean, she couldn’t take her eyes off of you when you walked in.” He teased the male with a smirk. “I wasn’t worried just curious.” Asher joked meeting his friend’s gaze. “That’s good. Now, do they really take a while or are you just impatient?”
jeanpuff·:
Jean fiddled with the plastic lid of his to-go cup, as he looked back over at the woman he had thought Asher was interested in. “Oh, okay.” He nodded, turning back to look at the wizard. “Are you sure?” He asked, since he had seemed pretty intent watching the scene. “She probably deserves one.” Jean said, listening to the noise coming from the other side of the cafe.
The wizard nodded. “She’s stared at his wallet twice, not to mention she’s being overly friendly despite rolling her eyes everytime she walks away.” He replied listing what he’d seen before shrugging. “Maybe,” Asher mumbled tugging at his sleeves before focusing his attention back to the blond. “So, how are you? I heard about what happened.” He asked as his eyes moved over the male’s body taking in the faded injuries that were beginning to heal.
