Right, since the RP's being rebooted, I'm going with them but moving to a new account
The new main RP is here, and my new page is here, if anyone's interested in following them.
I'm sentimental, so I couldn't just delete all my old paras and everything, and I have to leave this up because I've so many good memories from starting off painfully awkward IC and OOC, to, I think, at the least being a lot more comfortable with it, and really enjoying it.
I'm glad a lot of us are moving, but I'm really going to miss those who aren't, so, messages for a couple of them, even though I've probably left it too late for you to see them:
Emma (Brittany): I've heard you're having a tough time, lately, my lovely, so I hope things turn out okay soon. Keep your chin up. I know we never really interacted much IC, or even really ooc because of timezones, but you're pretty great and I'll miss the times we did get to ooc chat, even if 90% of them I was drunk. Also, I was shy as hell when I first joined this RP, and you and your loveliness were a big factor in keeping me from quitting after about a month, as I was pretty sure I would. Love, Switchpup.
Mel, Britt and Dak (Santana, Puck and Sam): I love you guys. You know I love you. I'm glad I still get to RP with you over on another RP, but I'll miss RPing with you here.
Alec (Mike): Oh, Alec. I hope you read this, because I came close to crying about you not coming back. You're my favourite RP partner ever, and we had such a good time, even if my replies were, as you say, always unbelievably late. Thanks for your patience with me on that one, and your loveliness about everything. I'll miss you so much, I've followed your personal and so you'd better keep in touch. I hope things look up for you soon, because you deserve the best of everything <3
Damian had missed the castle. He’d missed the intricate layout of corridors and staircases, the gentle hum of magic all around him, the simple quiet that often fell upon the school. But most of all, Damian had missed his friends. Which was why he was now winding his way down the school towards the kitchens, the bottles of Magick Alcohol tucked under his arms. He wondered if Tina had changed much while he’d been away. He knew she was with Mike now - which could only be good - but he would be interested to see if her newfound gung-ho attitude had left with him.
He smiled at that thought. Maybe she’d kept it a little - there was no way Damian could know - but somehow it was his complete lack of self preservation that truly brought it out in her. Or maybe she just didn’t have a choice when he was running round half naked in the snow. He laughed quietly and shook his head. He’d reached the kitchens and he cupped his hands together over his mouth, “TINA!! COME OUT AND MEET THE GLORIOUSNESS WAITING FOR YOU OUTSIDE!” Smirking, he leant against the wall, pulling the bottles out from under his robes. He had spent too much time drinking them amongst the Irish to know if he’d get up to the same mischief under their influence. They threw huge parties and he joined in their fun. But he had been completely hammered, so maybe they would provide the same fun. Just without the life threatening consequences.
Tina had been inside common room when she heard Damian declaring his presence, evidently as exuberant as ever given she could hear him through the thick walls. She ran out to greet him, and hurled herself into his arms when she reached him outside the kitchens.
"Damian!" She hugged him tight, not noticing the bottles he was holding until they were digging into her as she embraced him. She couldn't help herself laughing, from the joy of seeing him again and at how little he had changed, if his ridiculous method of announcing himself and the bottles of something that appeared to be as obnoxiously Irish as they were alcoholic, were anything to go by. "You idiot, what a way of saying you're back." She shook her head at him, still laughing. "I think Quidditch camp gave you an even bigger head, you know. Gloriousness, indeed."
Tina broke away from him, taking both bottles out of his hands as she did so. "I'm going to take care of these and make sure you don't get wasted on your first night in the castle," she told him, taking his arm and walking down the corridors with him. "And you can tell me everything that you've been up to! Since you barely bothered to write. I missed you." She knew she had a lot to catch him up on the goings on around the castle, and how increasingly serious they'd gotten over the past few weeks, but she just wanted to enjoy the time with him for now. It was so refreshing to be around someone who was out of the loop enough to still be walking with a spring in their step and without any of the ever present fear and caution that had descended on everyone in the school in the wake of the recent attacks; then again, Damian would probably manage to maintain a cheery attitude throughout anything, but she still wanted to hold off on bringing him down by filling him in on how scary things had gotten just yet. For a little while, she just wanted to hear about the no doubt outrageous and insane shenanigans he'd gotten up to with the other Irish hopefuls while he'd been away.
Oh, Damian. I'd almost forgotten your... unique code of etiquette.
That's sweet, though. Though I hope you weren't toasting anything too often. But did you have a good time, at least? I worried you'd hate being around Quidditch obsessed types and all the training and that... but at least if you managed to fit your drinking in, it can't have been that bad.
I know this isn’t on purpose I just hate seeing all of you arguing. And I know I’ve done my fair share of bickering with the Slytherins, but this is getting out of hand. That’s exactly why I said something. I don’t want something like what happened to Puck to happen again. I…I’m not going to let it either.
You have my support, Tina. You do. Always. I never meant to make it seem otherwise, I just want you safe and the houses at peace.
I know. I hate it, too. We all do. None of us are enjoying it, I promise. None of us, at any rate. It won't get out of hand, and nothing like what happened to Puck will happen again. We're doing everything we can to find out who did it so we can make sure they never do again; that's a damn sight less bloodthirsty and vengeful than anything any of the other Houses would do in our position, or have done in the past!
I know. I want that, too. But I want our House safe, and our first years safe, more; yeah, I want the bastards behind it punished, but I'm not going to do anything stupid or try to make the House rivalry worse over it, and neither are the others. We aren't starting any kind of vendetta against the Slytherins, we just want this to be sorted out so it can be lain to rest, and our first years can get justice. You'd do the same.
It’s doing absolutely nothing but making things worse. Calling each other names and insulting houses isn’t going to change what happened and nothing’s going to get figured out unless you all grow the heck up! I’m tired of walking down the halls with all of you at each others throats! Stop arguing and let the teachers and headmaster handle it. We only have a little bit of time left in the school year. Is this really how you want to spend it?
Mike... we're not arguing just for the sake of it, and we aren't trying to start a House war. Sam and Dani and I just want to find out who's behind what happened, so we can make sure it never does again. The teachers aren't handling it, otherwise we wouldn't have to. We aren't trying to attack their House, we just want to protect ours. After what happened with Puck a while back, I'd've thought you, of all people, would understand this.
I really need your support in this. It's hard enough as it is without you angry.
Did you cast Impervio on me? Cause when I'm near you I can't control my body.
I think you've got the wrong spell there, anon. Do you mean Impedimenta? And you'd probably better learn; like I say, I have an amazing, and Quidditch-playing, boyfriend.
Tina Chang? More like Cha-Ching! Cause I just hit the jackpot
Good one. Though it doesn't really work, since my name's Cohen-Chang... maybe go try that one on Mike. Since he's the one who, in your words, "hit the jackpot".
