I always see people pointing out that Deadpool has a crush on Spider-Man but never Spider-Man having a crush on Deadpool. Can you show me some evidence of the latter?
I think it’s because - in canon - Spiderman/Peter absolutely 100% does not have a crush on Deadpool. As far as we’ve seen, Peter is Mr Mc-Straight and will never return those feelings.
HOWEVER.
He has taken a liking to Deadpool and has started to consider him a friend - even though their relationship is very touch and go. Deadpool will literally go to the end of the earth to keep spidey safe and happy because he admires him so much. Spider-man on the other hand. He went from Hating Deadpools guts… To giving him a chance. And now he’s friendly enough to legitimately trust him and count him as a friend.
They literally are so dumb. I love it. I know people hate the word “Bromance” but it’s actually exactly the perfect word to describe these two and it’s amazing.
You can see their progress a LOT on the Spider-man / Deadpool comics. But of course ships will be ships and fandoms will be fandoms. They are a fun ship, and these days it’s a lot easier to imagine peter could catch them feels and return the feelings.
