Hanami shares her birthday with Yagura Karatachi, who just so happens to also be a kage. From what I read on the NaruSaku wiki, Hanami has both Water and Wind release. Yagura also has Water and Wind release (although him having Wind release is anime only). Ironically, Kushina, who expressed wanting to be Hokage when she was a child, also harbors Water and Wind release.
Ooh, really? Now that’s a nice coincidence we never really intended for! How nice it is that it just so happened organically.
When we established the nature affinities for them it was done with the techniques in mind and given how we mainly gave Hanami Minato’s learning style, we saw it fit for her to have Wind, for example.
But I love how these elements intertwine beautifully & make for a parallel, without us even intending it so!
Thanks for pointing that out!
The best headcanon I’d had within narusaku fanon was that Arashi eventually explores the ruins of Uzushiogakure (aka the land of red hair people) and finds out more about the Uzumaki infamous fuīnjustu.
But at the same time from a character standpoint, Arashi would def gain some immense pride and belonging in his family.
Yep. That’s a general consensus with us. He doesn’t even necessarily need to discover any land, but he’d have a natural inclination toward sealing techniques and summoning. Actually, I have a post about him to post soon, but I’ve neglected doing so.
Thanks for the headcanon!
I know it's a silly question but could Sakura's CPR to save Naruto's life have a deeper meaning than just saving his life? Sakura could have used the Byakugo and it would save Naruto but Sakura had Naruto's heart in her hands and she made it beat and she gave him the breath of life to save him.I see the strong connection between Naruto and Sakura in that moment. For me it has a very great symbolism that both need each other because they love each other, but they do not realize it.
It’s the exact same thing I said in a post on my Twitter as well sometime ago.
Sakura had Byakugo at her disposal. She could’ve literally used it on him, yet Kishimoto chose the CPR as a method.
Not to mention he is the author. He can use anything and everything how he wants, yet he chose the CPR and her holding his heart.
The symbolism of that is deep, like you said yourself.
She literally held not only his heart, but his life, his spirit in the palm of her hand. She was for some brief moments the life in him. His spirit.
Because while his spirit was dying due to the separation from Kurama, Sakura took it upon herself to fill the mechanics of his to keep him alive.
In a symbolical way, like I said, Sakura become his life, his spirit.
It was a deep moment there. Deeper than many realize, just because it was hidden under a medical procedure.
But it was part of the nuanced subtle writing of Kishimoto’s when it came to these two. So that's why some might've missed it.
Why the NRSK Children’s Design Makes Sense?
Using a simplified genetic model, let’s see how the proposed designs for the children — Shinachiku, Hanami, and Arashi — are completely plausible, and scientifically sound.
I know most fans know this, but I decided to make this post anyway.
The Genetic Basis: Understanding Alleles
(Alleles: variations of the same gene, occupying the same location on chromosomes, one inherited from the father and the other from the mother )
First, let’s define the genes we’ll use :
Hair Color:
L: Allele for blonde hair (Dominant)
r: Allele for red hair (Recessive)
Pink Modifier (P):
A special allele that, when present with the red hair genotype (rr), changes the hair color to pink. Sakura is the main example: genetically red-haired (rr) with the P modifier.
Eye Color:
G: Allele for green eyes (Dominant)
b: Allele for blue eyes (Recessive)
The Parents: Genotypes of Naruto and Sakura
Naruto Uzumaki (Father):
Hair: Lr (Blonde). He is blonde like his father Minato but inherited the red allele r from his mother, Kushina (rr).
Eyes: bb (Blue from both parents)
Sakura Haruno (Mother):
Hair: rrP (Pink). Genetically red (rr), inheriting r from both parents. We don’t know her grandparents, but for a recessive gene to appear, the parents must carry an r. The pink phenotype is explained by the presence of the P modifier.
Eyes: Gb (Green). She has green eyes from Mebuki but carries the recessive allele for blue eyes (b) from Kizashi.
Making the crossing:
Analysis of the Children
🎋 Shinachiku: Blonde Hair and Green Eyes
Hair Color:
Cross: Naruto (Lr) × Sakura (rr)
Result: 50% chance Lr (blonde), 50% chance rr (red)
Conclusion: Shinachiku’s blonde hair is completely expected, inheriting L from Naruto and r from Sakura.
Note: Being Lr, Shinachiku carries the red gene and can pass it to his future children.
Eye Color:
Cross: Naruto (bb) × Sakura (Gb)
Result: 50% Gb (green), 50% bb (blue
Conclusion: His green eyes are also a 50% possibility.
Verdict: Shinachiku’s phenotype is genetically plausible and one of the most likely outcomes.
🌸 Hanami: Pink Hair and Blue Eyes
Hair Color:
To have pink hair, Hanami must first be genetically red-haired (rr), which has a 50% chance.
The darker pink shade (often drawn stronger than Sakura’s) is explained by the P modifier:
Sakura has one copy of the modifier (rrP), giving light pink.
Hanami could have a darker pink if she inherited a “double dose” or stronger version of the modifier (rrPP), intensifying the color expression.
Eye Color:
Cross: Naruto (bb) × Sakura (Gb) → 50% chance for blue eyes (bb)
Conclusion: Hanami inherited one b allele from Naruto and one from Sakura.
Verdict: Hanami’s look is fully possible within this model, using a logical and creative explanation for her hair color intensity.
🌩️ Arashi: Red Hair and Green Eyes
Hair Color:
Arashi’s red hair is explained by rr, which also has a 50% chance. He inherited one r from Naruto and one r from Sakura.
Why red and not pink? He did not inherit the P modifier from Sakura, so the red gene expresses in its pure form.
Eye Color:
Like Shinachiku, Arashi having green eyes (Gb) is a 50% possibility, inheriting G from Sakura and b from Naruto.
Verdict: Arashi perfectly demonstrates how gene combinations can create variations within the same family, explaining why one child can have red hair while the mother has pink hair.
Important Note: In real life, eye color are polygenic, meaning they are controlled by multiple genes, not just one. This explains the wide range of tones we see (green-blue, light/dark brown, black, etc.).
In this analysis, i focused on hair and eyes, as other traits are harder to analyze for anime characters. 😉
