Jev ‘Patch’ Cipriano

Jev was born to Marco and Giuseppina in the Tuscany region of Italy. Their family was successful at finding new faces and building identities for people who needed to get lost. Their family followed the old way of practicing changing smaller aspects of themselves. Instead of changing their entire appearance to someone who already existed, they practiced changing their eye color, hair color, jaw structure, age appearance, body type and/or other structures and features. That’s where Jev earned the nickname Patch.

“What?” the confused look was still there but he decided there was a good chance he wasn’t going to understand what she’d meant. “Doesn’t matter,” he waved it away.

“The alcoholic ones?” the way she said that was like they’d been to the same parties and hangouts as each other before, “Have we met before?”

“Finn, did the decompression sickness finally hit?“ Patch reached out to touch Fenrin’s face, checking his temperature and seeing if his eyes were dilated. “I forgot... Do you run hot or cold? Nevermind, that isn’t important. Are you intoxicated right now? You don’t remember me? Me!“

Fenrin looked back at the woman in confusion, especially over the last part. “What do you mean you can’t swim with them? Millions of women do everyday,” he asked, sounding rather baffled. 

“Oh,” she must be a friend of Judson’s, though not one he recalled ever meeting. “Anything for Judson, count me in. You want me to bring anything?”

Patch took in Fenrin’s confused look and sent him one of his own. “What in the hell is that suppose to mean?”

“Those berry juices that you always bring. I forgot what you call them.“

“Jud is back in town. I’m planning on throwing a welcome back get together this weekend. You in?“

“I like to patch things together and I usually end up making something undeniably breathtaking.“ Patch beamed, obviously proud of his work.

“Awesome!“ Patch typed his information into her app and returned her phone to her. On his page were hand drawn portraits, paintings, cut out of multiple faces to make one but also other personal and scenic photos. “I do a little bit of everything.“

“Clearly you’re speaking as someone who’s never been cat called.” Siobhan snorted at that. “I suppose that’s a point in your corner.” She crossed her arms in front of herself and readjusted her bag. “To build a nasal and facial profile? What are you a plastic surgeon?” Or a serial killer… “Don’t you think using a natural face to advertise is a little deceptive?” His phrasing struck her as odd and she kept running it through her head until she realized what he meant. “Oh my god, you’re one of them aren’t you?” Siobhan didn’t have much experience with human shifters, but had talked generally to Adelaide about them as they searched.

“Are you just going to steal my face regardless of if I say no?”

“I’m embarrassed to say I have been. You would think it would be flatter but it’s down right nasty and degrading,“ he shrugged. “I’ve been thinking about going into plastics but I don’t think my parents or the locals who run the hospitals would like that idea. But anyways, that usually how plastics work. The client want to change into someone else. Like asking to look like a natural Beyonce or Jessica Alba.“

“Yeah... I’m one of them... You must be a animal shifter? Don’t tell me,” Patch grinned, giving her a once over again. “I’m going to say either a jackal, cat or heavy.” He felt confident in his choices, all from the way she held herself and spoke. “It’s not popular knowledge but that illegal here in Chicago.“ Patch staged a whisper. “Actually, I was planning on building a female shift. Taking bits and pieces from a group of 20 or more to create someone entirely different in my own image.“

Whilst Gendry was physically wandering around in the sun, as a friend had strong encouraged him to do, his mind was occupied elsewhere. As such he had only just realised that he was being spoken to when the man had finished speaking. The witch blinked at him, it taking a moment to pull himself fully back into the present. “I’m sorry, what did you say?”

“No need to apologize.“ Patch laughed. “I was wondering if I could take a picture of you? For pure artistic purposes.“

Selene had been enjoying her day off when she decided to go about the town. She was rather caught off guard when the man spoke to her. She raised a brow, “A picture? That’s an odd request.”

Siobhan stopped mid-stride and gave the man an unamused look. “How is asking a random stranger for a photo of them not creepy?” She took a step back as he moved towards her, flipping her hair over her shoulder. “And what would you do with this photo?”

“It can be flattering to some,“ Patch grinned. “I swear I’m not going to tell you that you could have been a model and ask you back to my place.“ Patch watched her movements as closely as he could without freaking her out. He has been wanting to add a female to his shifts, however, it’s been decades since he last took on a female shift and things have changed a lot since then. “To build a nasal and facial profile. Nothing nefarious.“

Patch was soaking up the sun, having been Underground with his friends for the entire night, when he saw caught a glimpse of something. Turning away from the sun, Patch looked to his left and smiled. The person passing by had the most unusual features that Patch had seen, especially for Chicago. He knew that he had to have it. “Hi, I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be rude or creepy but can I get a photo of you? I’m a artist and I would love to capture you in this sunlight,” Patch asked, walking slowly up to the person.

Church shot him a winning smile. “I do too. It’s a shame his wife doesn’t feel the same way. I did, no one was out.” Church snorted and passed him the cup. “Is that why he keeps you around?”

“Oh? Is Stockholm still standing?” He walked towards the door and held it open for Patch. “So has Kate tried to corner you yet?”

“Two hundred years ago no one would have gave a fuck and you wouldn’t have been living as him with her until the next full moon,“ Patch said bluntly but honestly. ”That, my striking personality and beautiful face.“

“We didn’t make the news and no one could tie us to it anyways,“ he laughed, leading Churchill out of the shop. “No... Why would she?“

“Awrrooo.“ Patch howled. “You hear that? Nah, they would probably turn against me. Bunch of savages.“

“You know all you have to do is ask? I’m always down for some Nezzy time.“

“Hey, cutie.“ Patch laughed, pinching Churchill’s cheeks and making kissy faces. “You know I like this guy. Did you ride past Panthrea on the way here?“ Patch waited until Churchill was done drinking and opened his hand, gesturing that he wanted some too. “Bitches love me. You should have seen me in my prime. I can sell a cage to a wild pumapard.” 

“Jud! I’m off!“ Patch yell over his shoulder, checking his pockets for his phone and wallet then grabbing his coat off one of the racks before headed towards the door. “I’m off now. I was just helping him catch up since we took a break in Sweden a little too long.”
