   EVEN BEFORE Julian realizes the mistake, Kastor’s hands are flying to his drink ( just a water, for now, though he hasn’t touched it— he doesn’t quite trust it not to contaminated with something truly miserable ) and satchel to ensure they don’t meet a truly unfortunate fate. As for running into each other; the situation is truly anything but a coincidence. He’d been hoping to find Julian here and was unsurprised he’d hardly had time to grow bored of sitting by himself before the gangly doctor traipsed in, clothed in his usual air of dramatics.

    “ SINCE YOU tried to throw my belongings on a floor covered in GOD KNOWS WHAT, you’re buying. I trust you not to poison me. ” A slight smile cracks the facade of stern sophistication he’d been aiming for. However, a moment later, a shadow crosses his expression, brows knitting together as he pushes his hair away from his face so as to best look the other man in the eye. “ I’d actually hoped to talk to you about a matter I’d most like your sober opinion on. You’re welcome to order, I just don’t want it waiting until you’re three rounds in. ”

“That’s a fair arrangement,” Julian takes it as his invitation to join the table, this time making a point to not bring the table down as he settles into a chair, hailing down one of the barmaids in the process. Kastor continues and he hesitates for a moment before mumbling something alone the lines of Water, then? with the raise of an eyebrow. The woman hustles off, leaving the two alone.

“I can’t say you came to the best place for a sober opinion, but you’re lucky to have caught be at a time where I can give one. What’s on your mind?”

Julian is a masculine leaning pansexual, so often his partners can’t or don’t want to conceive kids in the first place. It’s not something he’s ever found odd or harmful to his relationships. Needless to say, it seems the orphan problem in Vesuvia is a bit egregious, anyways, and he’s never been opposed to the idea of adopting.

Unsurprised, really. He’s lived with the plan of dying young since he left Nevivnon, anyone with the common sense of a frog might be able to outlive him. That’s not to say he wouldn’t feel upset or angry at such a fact, like anyone else, but he would be lying to say he didn’t expect that.

Firstly? Failure, that’s an easy one. He’s working his hardest to get past that, but sometimes it’s exceptionally hard to accept your own inability. Second, dolls.  Third, Mazelinka’s home-brewed cold medicine.

Probably not. It’s really not the best idea to give someone as clumsy and self destructive as him the ability to control fire or lightning.Though, he can’t say he’s never actively tried to move something closer to him with his mind when he’s too far away from it, nor can he dismiss that he sometimes wishes he had the ability to instantly dry wet clothes, all of the mundane spells that would qualify more in the realm of parlor tricks.

Learn to ride a horse, own a free clinic, beat Muriel in an arm wresting contest.

the devil: do you enjoy thunderstorms?

While he wouldn’t say he’s terrified of them, they aren’t full of the best memories so Ilya isn’t wholly fond of them. Seafaring + storms = rocking boats and lots of close calls.

Immediately, Lucio scoffed at the dark tea–what even was that stuff? And why was Julian drinking it? Already Lucio knew he was not even going to anywhere near that stuff. 

❝ Jules, I don’t know how you expect me to have tea of….that variety with you. What even is that? It smells weird. ❞ More or less just a kind of tea Lucio was not used to. Then again, the Count was not always so aware of things that were potentially healthier than something else. 

“Unfortunately, I have,” Julian rolls his eyes slightly at the remark before continuing, “Oh, it’s likely one of Asra’s various mixes, though I never know the names.” 

Darjeerling, dragon pearls, chai were some of the ones he knew off the top of his head--though actually telling them apart by flavor was a task he was not up to. It was a bit mesmerizing to watch as Julian swirled it around idly before taking yet another sip.

“Stop sniffing your drinks and enjoy the fancy leaf water before it gets too cold for your tastes. It’s good for the heart, supposedly.”
