I’ve thought about doing this for a while. My tags are messy, my style of rping has changed drastically since Tumblr’s updates and there’s just a lot of followers here that I don’t interact with. My url will remain the same. My style and theme will predominantly remain the same. All unanswered starters, or starters I have said I will write will be carried over but all current threads will be dropped. I am looking to be a little more selective in my followers to keep my dash safe for me. It’ll likely take me a few days before the new blog is totally up and running and I will let you all know here when that happens bur right now I feel like it is the best course of action.

❖ CHOPPER 『 chopperpirate· 』 

Chopper was saddened by this question. How could she ever suspect him of wanting to hurt his precious friend after they’d known each other for so long? The mere thought of it practically made his eyes swell with tears. “No! Of course it isn’t!”

The present really wasn’t anything much. Instead, it was just a pair of pink socks with blue stitches that spelled out “best friend ever” as if to say that the girl was his precious friend in question. “Do you like it?” Clearly Chopper made these himself. Smiling a bit wider at the thought of having her state how much she loved them, the boy stepped a little closer to her.

NOT DANGEROUS THEN.   It wasn't made to be an accusation she was just making sure she didn’t blow up half the block by accident.   Something Joker had done that out of love before.   Harley herself had used Kaboom candy because she wasn’t as terrible as him.   She had made a cake explode in the face of Batman.   That one was a good laugh.   The point was she knew she couldn’t trust herself not to do that ,   so it made sense a friend had a chance to do the same.

❝ Okay!! Great then. ❞   She ripped open the present ,   taking out the pink socks.   They were cute ,   maybe even adorable and she knew exactly what to do.   The blonde sat down on the floor ,   pulling off her knee high socks that had a few holes in ,   swapping them for her brand new ones.   After shoving her shoes back on her feet she smiled at Chopper ,   admiring them.   ❝ I think they’re amazing!!   I mean ,   I wouldn't have just worn any present straight away and they’re super cozy!!   Do you have a pair??   Maybe you should get a pair of gloves like them or something so we’re sort of matching.   I think that’d be cute and then be the best friends ever.   What d’ya say?! ❞

an anon grabbed your attention: Do you prefer harley's portrayal in batman assault on arkham or the liveaction suicide squad film?

Personally, I’m more an Assault on Arkham (AoA) fan. It’s usually the less known, less expansive media that actually gets Harley right (at least for me). The animation style was great, and there were a few new quips for her. I don’t exactly get why ‘yahtzee’ became her catchphrase there but it’s a small thing that isn’t detrimental to her characterization. They accepted she was crazy, but that she was always smarter than she was given credit for. It was the quickest verse I think I wrote from watching the film to releasing the bio and sure it needs a decent edit now but it’s still there.

I will say though, and will heavily clarify that despite it’s issues Suicide Squad, the film, will always have a soft spot in my heart. I know on the grand scale of things,  it wasn’t the most accurate but it helped me find Harley and in a way, myself. I don’t wanna go sob story on this answer but the first time I broke my leg (yes I’ve broken the same leg twice) I was moved from my uni halls to a disabled room in a block where I knew no one and no one wanted to know me. No one exactly wants to see you when you’re in a slump like that either but anyways I took my knowledge of the suicide squad film, and dived into her backstory properly, using the comics. By the end of that month I had made my Harley account. That was June 2017, and I am far more aware of her character. As a Criminology and Psychology student at the time I connected to her and now as a graduate she still reminds me of these things. You never stop learning about your character, but the reason you fell in love will always be the most important.

❖ KURAMI 『 mysticallities· 』

Crossing her arms, Kurami scoffs at the other’s words. “Clearly you do, I can see your grip tightening.” Perceptive, Kurami was. That’s what working with Elves gets you, but she had her own baggage as well. Not that she would state it, preferring to remain mysterious. She stares at the clown through her veil, purple eyes glowing brightly as she focused on Harley.

Gotham? This environment was new, certainly nothing she’s seen before. How lovely. Stepping back and raising a hand, a spatial distortion occurring to bystanders, a Rook in her view, materializes into her palm and floats around her, mostly her shoulder. She didn’t know when she’d need it, but she gets a feeling she would.

“Perhaps you’re one of them? Do you think you’ll be able to land a finger on me?” Overly pompous was her go-to for intimidation, it was all a feint. A mindgame. “Your enthusiasm is appreciated, Quinn-san.” She says, speaking calmly. Intimidation was no factor here for her.

“I’m not interested in a little spar, to be frank,” she states, crossing her arms and closing her eyes.

CUE EYE ROLL.   Harley smirked ,   pointing at whatever it was she’d just made appear.   If Harley herself had that kind of power it would most certainly not have been used to make a thing like that appear.   It would have been used for far more important reasons like manifesting a constant supply of hotdogs or unlimited coffee so she never had to sleep.   But that wasn’t important so the jester tried to get her thoughts back on track.

❝ Because I’m the only one with ma guard up ,  obviously !! ❞   Sarcasm dripped from her lips as she questioned who the woman even was.   She didn’t scream Gothamite , &nsbp; didn’t smell like it either.   Gotham had a stench that attacked even your least worn clothes.   The smell of sewer rats and power plants just took over the industrialised city that barely passed regulations in every constraint.

❝ One o’ who??   The murdery guys??   I only kill someone when I got reason to ,   thanks.   If yas on about one o’ the freaks tho’ ,   I’m sure the rest of the costumed crowd wouldn’t argue with yas.   But some o’ us like me ,   just as an example ,   are tryna change things up for ourselves !!   But one thing I ain’t is predictable ,   lady so I’d stop tryna figure me out. ❞

Mimicking her, Harley also folded her arms. ❝ If ya ain’t here to spar   an’ I dunno no Franks.   What are yas even here fer?? ❞

New rule time. I say ‘new’ because something similar had been in place before. A message that was surrounded in negativity and gave a potential ‘elitist’ impression which certainly wasn’t the case. I actually hadn’t realized I’d deleted that whole paragraph but the way things are now in the tumblr RPC I feel the need to ‘re-add’ a comment in my rules that reflected this. For those that were never aware, previously I added a ‘Note to Harley Quinn Blogs’ section on my lengthier rules. It was, in short, 100% negative and likely pushed people away, blaming them for a decision they had made. I never wanted to be seen as controlling how other people use their accounts as my dashboard is my safe space, and I presume it’s a similar thing for other people.

So, at some point, I deleted it, and for a while, without mentioning it I’ve had every other Harley account I know of ‘blacklisted’ by tag. That’s emphasized because I want to acknowledge how I make my safe space my safe space. I can’t handle other Harley accounts, seeing them sends me into panic mode because of previous encounters with others. I try not to drown the rpc in toxicity. I try to keep my space as positive as I can but when my dashboard isn’t ‘safe’ for me I find it incredibly difficult to do that. I have even sent accounts messages previously about this ‘rule’ that a - I don’t think was every official like this new one and b -  even I had forgotten I’d deleted which is pretty stupid on my part and I apologise to both @hiredassault and @seonis for this as in effect I have told people off for doing something wrong that wasn’t stated to be wrong and wasn’t breaking one of rules. i.e bluebell’s a moron but that’s getting fixed now (sorry guys, really).

Okay babble over. I said to myself before writing this I wasn’t gonna babble (fail) and I wasn’t going to explain it (also fail) but here’s the new rule #3 both on my doc, and on my theme. #3-8 have simply been renumbered so that there are #9 ‘other things to note’. I don’t like controlling how other people use their accounts and I think having this is the safest way to tackling everything.

[three.]  In terms of how you rp, the only request I have is that you tag all and any mentions of other Harley Quinn accounts. This is for the sake of my mental health. I'm not wholly comfortable with seeing them on my dash and would like to ensure that my Tumblr dashboard is a safe space for me. As long as you tag them, I won't see it. With this being a new rule (introduced October 2020), polite reminders of this rule will be sent out. The decision to add this has not been taken lightly.

THE LAST TIME.   Usually Harley could take it ,   could stand up for herself but she’d been nothing short of a punch bag this time.   She couldn’t remember officially being kicked out ,   couldn’t recall pottering down the street ,   swaying slightly before passing out on the cold Gotham street.   It could have ended up a lot worse for her ,   but Ivy had found her.   The weeds just about poking through spoke out to the botanical beauty and kept her around just enough until Ivy officially found her.

Softly stirring ,   Harley tried her best to open her eyes ,   but the searing pain behind one made it more difficult than she should out.   The blurry images not quite focusing as the blonde only imagined that this was what being hit by a bus felt like.   She had never felt quite this defeated but aside from actually being dead and buried Harley knew that it wasn’t just over ,   but that it was OVER.   She’d been thinking too much though ,   and thinking already hurt.   As did trying to grip her head to nurse the pain ,   and moving her arm to even thinking about helping herself.   Harley didn’t want to look too close at herself because no doubt her skin was more blue and purple than it was the pale shade it usually was.
