❖ KURAMI 『 mysticallities· 』
Crossing her arms, Kurami scoffs at the other’s words. “Clearly you do, I can see your grip tightening.” Perceptive, Kurami was. That’s what working with Elves gets you, but she had her own baggage as well. Not that she would state it, preferring to remain mysterious. She stares at the clown through her veil, purple eyes glowing brightly as she focused on Harley.
Gotham? This environment was new, certainly nothing she’s seen before. How lovely. Stepping back and raising a hand, a spatial distortion occurring to bystanders, a Rook in her view, materializes into her palm and floats around her, mostly her shoulder. She didn’t know when she’d need it, but she gets a feeling she would.
“Perhaps you’re one of them? Do you think you’ll be able to land a finger on me?” Overly pompous was her go-to for intimidation, it was all a feint. A mindgame. “Your enthusiasm is appreciated, Quinn-san.” She says, speaking calmly. Intimidation was no factor here for her.
“I’m not interested in a little spar, to be frank,” she states, crossing her arms and closing her eyes.
CUE EYE ROLL. Harley smirked , pointing at whatever it was she’d just made appear. If Harley herself had that kind of power it would most certainly not have been used to make a thing like that appear. It would have been used for far more important reasons like manifesting a constant supply of hotdogs or unlimited coffee so she never had to sleep. But that wasn’t important so the jester tried to get her thoughts back on track.
❝ Because I’m the only one with ma guard up , obviously !! ❞ Sarcasm dripped from her lips as she questioned who the woman even was. She didn’t scream Gothamite , &nsbp; didn’t smell like it either. Gotham had a stench that attacked even your least worn clothes. The smell of sewer rats and power plants just took over the industrialised city that barely passed regulations in every constraint.
❝ One o’ who?? The murdery guys?? I only kill someone when I got reason to , thanks. If yas on about one o’ the freaks tho’ , I’m sure the rest of the costumed crowd wouldn’t argue with yas. But some o’ us like me , just as an example , are tryna change things up for ourselves !! But one thing I ain’t is predictable , lady so I’d stop tryna figure me out. ❞
Mimicking her, Harley also folded her arms. ❝ If ya ain’t here to spar an’ I dunno no Franks. What are yas even here fer?? ❞
