Hi! I'm Emily. I’ve been very active in The Hunchback of Notre Dame fandom since ~2006 and a Mod for fuckyeahhond since 2015, but I had very limited administrative access. I was granted full ownership in March 2024, and I’m excited to revive this blog and share my crazy obsession love for The Hunchback of Notre Dame/Notre Dame de Paris (HoND/NDdP). Please note, this is a side blog. My main blog is ohquasimodo.

I recently moved to Paris to start my own independent business, Quasimodo & His Cathedral Tours, giving private tours of Notre Dame that focus on the cathedral's architectural history, the restoration and its role in art, media & culture.

The Animation Courtyard in Disney's Hollywood Studios is reopening next week with tons of newly added decor, and I'm so happy to see that Quasimodo is included in the character handprints outside of the Chinese Theatre!! 😍🔔

Hurry, hurry, here's your chance... to submit a question to be discussed at The Official Unofficial 30th Anniversary Fan Celebration of Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame!

This online event will be hosted live and it will be facilitated in the format of a panel discussion with our special guests (hint: the production team & the lyricist 😉). The timing of the event is still TBC, but it will be confirmed shortly!

In addition to this online panel discussion with our special guests, we're also exploring the possibility of doing a casual group chat for fans to chat together afterwards (online via. Discord), and an in-person meet up in Paris on Sunday, June 21st.

Please review these guidelines when submitting your question(s):

You can submit multiple questions. There is no set limit on the number of questions that you can submit, but it's better to focus on "quality over quantity". We want questions that will evoke lively and engaging discussions. 

Questions about our guests’ personal experiences working on the movie are allowed, but no questions about their private life. We want everyone to feel comfortable. 

Keep all questions related to Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Although there are themes in the movie that are relevant to the present day, this is not meant to be a political discussion. This event is meant to celebrate how much we all love Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, reminisce about our favourite related memories over the past 30 years, and for our special guests to share their insights and experiences working on the movie. 

Keep all questions PG-13 (at most). 

Due to time constraints, some questions may not be selected. 

The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 29th at Midnight PST. 

If you don't make the deadline or if you think of another question later on, don't worry! There will be time allocated at the end to take additional questions in real-time.

All of the details about the festivities and how you can "join the party" will be announced soon...along with our special guests who will be joining us!

Coming Soon: New Hunchback of Notre Dame Pins

Disney announced several new pins that will be released for the movie's 30th Anniversary!

The pins will first be released at a Disney Pin Trading event at WDW/Disney World on June 15th (which is already sold out!), but then they will be available to purchase in the park.

There's no details yet on whether or not they will be available to purchase at other Disney parks (they likely will be), or if they will be available to purchase online.

There's also 2 more Hunchback of Notre Dame pins that are planned to be released in June as well (photos below), that were announced at a Disney Pin Trading event a few months ago. The pin on the left is also a 30th anniversary pin, and the pin on the right is part of the "Disney Pins A-2-Z" set. There's no specific details yet on where/when/how those will be released.

Happy "Quasimodo Sunday" from the top of the south bell tower of Notre Dame 🥳🔔

Yes! There really is a day called "Quasimodo Sunday" and it's always the second Sunday of Easter.

The name of the day itself comes from the first words of the Gregorian chant at the opening of Mass on that day, "Quasi modo géniti infántes, allelúia...". In English, it translates to "As newborn babes, alleluia..."

"Quasimodo Sunday" is also the origin of Quasimodo's name in Notre Dame de Paris/The Hunchback of Notre Dame, because in the novel, Quasimodo was adopted on this day! 😉
