A Prayer for Zero Kiryuu

Oh Lord in Heaven,

Thank You for allowing one of your angels to be bestowed upon us, for we are undeserving.

We thank You for delivering this precious cinnamon roll to the fine pen of the one named Matsuri Hino. We will forever be grateful for the vision she has been given to reveal to us what perfection from above is like in the form of a man, for only such radiance must come from the Heavens. We know this man as Zero Kiryuu, the Vampire Knight.

With silver hair all aglow, with lilac orbs penetrating one’s soul, oh how men and women quake at the sight.

His steely appearance hides gentleness. His love is given unconditionally. His loyalty surpasses none else. His sacrifices puts others before himself. I am certain - You have drafted him with Your own blueprint.

He is the Protector of Children

The Lover of Animals

He is the Light guiding the Lost out of the Deep Dark Forest.

Oh, Father, what have we done to be worthy of this incomparable being?

Since coming down to this imperfect world, the Roll of Cinnamon has faced many trials and tribulations, for many seek to destroy all the good that he is. True smiles have been rare and scarce.

Those who have given in to their wicked desires have tried to lay their filthy hands on him and those he cares for. However, he never gives up. He fights for others and he even fights for himself…so that he may stay alive to protect his loved ones. He often stares down the holy weapon, Bloody Rose, to the many that perished and failed to do the harm they intended.

Father, it is known that in time our treasured one will return to your presence. Until that comes to pass, please allow him the happiness and fulfillment he so undoubtedly desires and deserves.

We know the road is long and hard, but please give him the strength to carry on each day. We also know there is one person who he wishes to be with above all else. If it is Your will, remove the fog that clouds the mind of the woman he wishes to be closer to and give them the joy we know they’d have if they only were together.

This woman we speak of may not have descended from the same sky as he has, but we are sure, without a shadow of a doubt, that she yearns for him the same and will bring him what he has wanted all along. We only wish, Father, for his everlasting happiness as long as he shall live.

Cast away the ones who want to prevent their union!

Eliminate the obstacles that stand in love’s way!

Shield them both with Your hand against evil!
