The call of hunger could never be ignored nor postponed, this had learnt early on after his accident. After enduring a complete cellular reconfiguration, that left him with an unpredictable appetite, and a tendency to gorge infrequently, rather than eat every few hours. As such, caught between missions, he knew that corrective measures were needed immediately, rather than later on; no matter what it took to do so.
"There's more than that available here." Contributing a stray thought, each word shared was selected carefully, preferring to avoid starting any kind of dispute with the other that held the potential for causing collateral damage, given that they technically were breaking and entering into someone else's property. Taking advantage of the late hour, a supermarket that had fully closed for the night became their mutual target, the rule of law quietly falling by the wayside for now as exterior camera systems are torn off walls and internal alarm systems, both loud and silent, were disabled.
Having removed all other obstacles, access was gained through a service side-door rather than any other route, lock disposed of with a quick scoring of talons upon metal as an "After you" is aired, electing to follow rather than lead their voyage inside. Upon emerging, beneath lights turned to a dimmed setting, banners and stall posters announced that they stood amongst the bakery section, with their true destination of the chilled meats and frozen food freezers visible a few aisles away, in front of them. The reduced luminance, if anything, came as a benefit for Miguel, rather than a hindrance, but he was less certain on how it would be for fellow starved.
"Which aisle do you want to try first?"
There was something so very nostalgic about sharing the quest of gathering nutrition ; at night, no less, where legal bindings didn't count ( when do they ever, with her ? ) thanks to the help of the ghoul's partner of opportunity. They could hardly pass as a pack, this was anything but a hunt. Romanticizing quenching this desire of meat between her teeth became useless since her last meal. Hours ago. A single-minded pull led Aisha past the other – into the treasured halls of consumerism.
Her head whipped from left to right, salmon spheres locking with various elements, her gaze lingering, the hungry one troubled. Deciding was hard when all your blood began to flow into your muscles, your mouth watering. Shaking with excitement, barely listening to Miguel, who prompted something so proper in this situation. Where to begin ?

There was a good portion of trust involved in this convenient heist, a shared condition in form of the simplest desire a mortal could experience.
Stopping in front of an icebox & funnily enough having more trouble with getting this thing to open than basically any normal citizen ( The ghoul kept pulling instead of sliding the door. Rookie mistake ) .

Idk how active I will be the next couple of days. My partner got diagnosed with a brain tumor and is now at the hospital. We don't know if it's cancer or not, all we can do is wait for tests. I'm just horribly worried and anxious. I'm glad he can stay calm.
Will try to keep myself distracted/ occupied until there is a diagnosis.
I think my pc decided to work normally again (?) So fingers crossed I'll be here for some writting.

It was bouncing up and down with excitement, only stopping when It heard a sound behind It. Turning slowly, the tiny thing came face to face with her.
The huntress had long since locked her gaze onto the creature, hidden in the shadows & looking for either the right time to strike or waiting until something fell onto it, knocking the homunculus out. It was then, when her ears perked & her tail stiffened from the swirl of its wand.
And everything turned to an aquatic buffet.
With it, the shelf she was hiding behind.
Immediately, Aisha's focus switched. Fish flapping & flopping about the place, a deep-rooted instinct pulled her attention towards everything except her prior prey. The next moment, her claws & teeth were chasing the morphed objects with hunger-addled frenzy.
The ghoul bites into fish after fish, gulping down & ripping into the next before it settled in her guts. That must be paradise.
Before those pale, dilated orbs locked with the gremlin. ❝ You did this. ❞ Under her breath & so strangely filled with wonder, worship. In a matter of mere seconds, Aisha's mind was set. She needed to protect this creature, whatever it may cost. Never had she ever met a better constant source of food.

usually, you're able to bottle up your emotions and ignore the frustrations. but, after weeks of shoving everything down, your body needs a release, and i pity the poor person who managed to piss you off. it's screaming crying, shouting, kicking lockers, whatever you can do to get it out of your system. it's a whole jean grey moment, fire and fury blasting out of you.
the unfamiliar finger extends toward her and aditi answers the silent accusation with a slow, puzzled lift of her brow, leaning back as though to give it room. she doesn’t interrupt, not yet, choosing instead to follow its idle circling until it comes to rest on her mask , her inseparable companion (literally). aisha’s line of questioning is sensible enough, but it’s the final remark that earns a soft, muffled laugh. “ i suppose i’m not all about boundless generosity. ” she states, dry amusement laced into her words. “ fog is more of my thing, really. ”
she taps the mask once. “ this ? it’s for my lungs. ” with ease, wraith removes the front plate for a few seconds, revealing nothing more scandalous than a perfectly ordinary mouth, rumors dismantled before they can ever take shape. two tubes remain attached to its sides, feeding her the much needed oxygen. “ they ... gave up on me around ten years ago. ”
The scavenger recognized a perfectly normal face. Mouth, nose, lips. And there was something almost wistful in the nod she gave in return. ❝ Ooooh, yeah, of course. That makes sense. ❞ Perhaps the sentence would settle to ring true in her own head in time. One of her fears has been lifted — Wraith wasn't hogging the food. Nice.

The knight had just finished finalizing his 'base' for this world and was letting out a sigh of relief. Keeping track of each planet's customs has become increasingly difficult during his 'time off' though this world was fairly straight-forward... at least, that was what he thought. When addressed, the notebook he pulled out flipped in his hands as he let out a startled 'Ah!' before turning around.

Her theory got proved. Not a license, which brought a cackle out of her throat. It's not like she would rat him out to the authorities — the ghoul didn't know any cops personally anyway. Where she was concerned, the blonde didn't look like he needed to lie, so Rainald's words are taken for granted.
