I know it’s fan fiction but it really feels like a novel. What would you consider the theme of wtt to be? I can think of a couple but I’m curious if you wrote it with any intention

I wrote it around time and change! I wanted it to be a reminder that there is always time left to begin again hence the ending.

The final chapter around Christmas is very deliberate as the rest of it is set in summer and it was meant to show that seasons change the same as us and in the same breath we are always the same- shown as she returns to old habits while visiting home. Eventually they will return to summer and winter will not be permanent. Which is an odd kind of comfort.

I’m so ngl I was severely anorexic writing it and always had awful brain fog

When I spell checked it was usually after completing the chapter which was often very late at night

It always changes depending on my mood tbh

I imagine them with a very tumultuous relationship where they sneak around- date for a couple weeks then break up and repeat the cycle. They will move on with their lives and careers and still think of the other.

I originally planned to have two different endings: one where the Kyle would turn up to the MCs college soccer game and cheer for her and the other where they meet at a holiday party and don’t speak, they just stare at each other
