Lok: I still can’t believe Zhalia got the villain to hero redemption arc trope

Dante: no she didn’t.

Lok: what?

Dante: Zhalia got the glorified henchman to hero arc.

Dante:... don’t you dare ever tell her I said that.

Lok: what’s something besides being a seeker that you’re good at and enjoy doing?

Zhalia: sleeping.

Dante: Zhalia you have insomnia.

I feel like one of the reasons Dante was worried about Zhalia when she was infiltrating the spirals was because whilst everyone else sees her as this confident badass spy Dante’s like:

Yeah she’s cool, but when she realised she’d had a terrible career guidance counsellor she put her foster dad on a semi-permanent pause and then had a week long existential crisis, then went and fought a preteen- technically making herself queen of a remote Amazon tribe, then blew up her apartment whilst still inside with a bomb in her wardrobe, and then like a week after that she bullshitted her way out of being mind controlled by the professor and ten minutes later got body slammed by a Titan. THEN she single handedly broke into a central Organisation base to get data to help us defeat one of the strongest seekers in history.

Yes she gets things done, but not necessarily the most normal, safe or even reasonable way.

Or basically even the way @weirdponytail describes and yeah Zhalia is awesome but Dante also has to put up with her climbing through the window and stealing coffee on a regular basis. He loves her, but he also knows her.

I mean these do make sense, but since that wasn’t the goal and might be spoilerish in case I ever go t h a t far into the comic

Headcanon: Gareon started laying across Zhalia's stomach to help alleviate her cramps. Now it's habit, but it hasn't lost its purpose.
