Being as young as she is, Cinque has a tendency to be naïve and immature. Due to this combination, Cinque has her moments when she’s outspoken and unpredictable, never meaning any harm by it regardless of how it may seem. On most days when there isn’t anything to do, she’ll be willing to start a conversation with just about anyone, keeping an upbeat demeanor. However, she does take her missions and duties seriously--even if she can be a little jumpy and cowardly at times.

"Aaaah~ Cinque-chan had a long day," the cadet mumbled to herself as she stretched her arms above her head, making her way toward her favorite spot in the academy--the Fountain Plaza. 

The ginger-haired girl's day was nothing short of eventful. After being chewed out for falling asleep during their captain's lecture again, Kurasame decided that it was time to give her a punishment that would stick instead of assigning her extra homework (which Cinque almost never completed, anyway). This time, the commander put his foot down and sent number five to one of the recently liberated cities to take care of the fiends surrounding the area. Fortunately the fiend population wasn't as severe as she was expecting, making it relatively easy to rectify the situation on her own. However, that didn't make the girl any less tired once she finally returned. 

Once the fountain was in sight, Cinque plopped down on the edge, letting the sound of the water's flow relax her as she quietly began humming to herself and tapping her toes upon the pavement.

I guess so, but I can’t help but feel like he’s up to something. You’ll never know…unless you can somehow read Tonberries’ minds.

Probably, but it’s not like we can ask him.

He probably wouldn't think we were very nice thinking such awful things about his Tonberry anyway.

*Follows her, letting her drag him slightly by the hand; he can’t help but laugh at her enthusiasm and the fact that she has a nickname for her weapon*

I know, I know. I just can’t help but worry sometimes.

Ah, well…I dunno, I’m pretty sure I can’t be the only one in the class who’s kind of intimidated by it. I mean, look at how huge that knife is. That’s bigger than any knife I’ve seen! And I’m pretty sure other Tonberries’ knives aren’t that big - not that I’ve seen any other Tonberry, but the pictures they have in our textbooks show that their knives aren’t even a fraction of the size.

Let me add onto the fact that it hardly talks. It just…stares at you. I can feel its eyes on me during lectures sometimes. I feel like it’s plotting something.

Tonton doesn't mean any harm; at least that's what I think. I mean, If he was plotting against us, I don't think he'd come help us when things got tough during missions.

Buuut~ I think the only person that knows what's on Tonberry's mind would be the captain, wouldn't it?

Naghi told me! Apparently there's a Cactuar that lives in the Academy, its owner died, but it never left. No one's ever seen it tho.

He asked me to help find evidence, but I don't think I could do it by myself. The Academy is reeeeeallly big

Ah, it was another small town in Byakko territory. Another town in Milites control that we’re trying to take back, but we don’t have enough info on the military setup there just yet. I was there for a little bit to scope things out so we can plan out our next move. Nothing too extreme. You know I’ll always come back home in one piece, though, so there’s no need to worry.

You left him in the garden by himself…?

-Perks up at the mention of Machichan and nods.- Tonberry-chan was back there. I figured they could keep each other company.

Where were you sent off to this time? Whenever I ask, they always avoid telling me for some reason. B-But I try to tell myself that as long as I remember you, it'll be alright.
