Walt was truly deranged about Jesse because why did he spend the whole show getting rid of literally everyone that in any way, good or bad, focused on him lol. He really said if I can’t have you, no one can!! His idea of loving Jesse was just controlling literally his entire life and robbing him of any autonomy he possessed. And when Jesse tells him to “say you want this” and Walt does, HE DOESN’T GIVE IT TO HIM! For the first damn time in the whole show! He’s finally fucking FREE of the shackles Walt put him in but it’s all Walt’s fucking design in the end!
