Stick To Your Guns - Diamond
Every single day we’re fucking lied to. That’s just a no-brainer. We all know that. Whether we know it consciously, whether we know it sub-consciously. But I’m fucking sick ‘n tired of hearing day after day after day after day that the point of life is to be happy. Because I think that that is bullshit. I do not think that the very essence, the point of life, is to be happy at any cost. No matter what, no matter what. You start feeling sad, you start feeling depressed, you start feeling pain, you start feeling anything? You better run from it. You better fucking escape from it and do everything you can to be happy. That’s what they tell us. They say ‘Buy this, you’ll be happy. Buy this, you’ll be happy. Believe in this weird God, you’ll be happy. Go to this school, do what you’re told, drink this, smoke this, just run, do whatever you gotta do, just run from the pain and just be happy.’ FUCK THAT Exactly, fuck that. I agree. Because to me the point of life is not to be happy, that’s just a fucking bonus. The point of life is to feel things, and to continue to feel things as you grow older. Not to get jaded, not to get bitter, not to get desensitized, but to stay angry, to stay frustrated. To feel the pain, to feel the sorrow, to feel the void of losing somebody. Because that’s what life is about, it’s a part of it. It’s a social contract we all sign when we enter life, that you are gonna fucking suffer. And if you don’t think you’re going to in this life, you got a reality check coming. But as long as we’re here through all the suffering and through all the pain, we can feel happy, we can be compassionate, we can find happiness and joy in the way that we treat each other. And just try a little bit, cause we’re all fucking hurting in one way or another. So why would you want to inflict that on anybody else. Why would you expect anybody else to do something that you’re not willing to do yourself. Because me for one, I don’t know what it is, but I want to see this world change in my lifetime, change for the better. And I can’t do that, I can’t add to that if I’m not willing to do it my fucking self. It starts right here inside, right here inside.

IM GOING TO THIS THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!
With a system that seems to act without a conscience, where nobody seems to be held accountable for their actions, we ask: what choice have you given any of us?
For the families of Eric Garner, Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice, and any other family suffering losses at the hands of injustice; we will stand beside you until we see things change.
We encourage you all to find local protests and demonstrations in your area and stand with those looking to change this world for the better.

Rape at a college
Now I am currently in college. I wasn't really sure if I should name it, so if you're curious as to which one you can ask me. But my school has been under the microscope lately because there have been soooo many fucking rapes here. Now, I don't exactly like this school, I haven't enjoyed my experiences here, however this brings my dislike of this school to a whole new level. I know its happening all over the country and shit but to be frank, no one here could give a rats ass about it. At all. I find it hard to go to school that doesn't care about this subject. I find it really fucking difficult to support a school that rape and sexual assault is just apart of the social norm. Fuck that. No one here cares. At all. There was a protest against it and people were waving dildos at those who were protesting. Tell me why this is okay? I find it realllllly hard to wrap my mind around the fact that nearly every girl here is scared to go somewhere alone at any time of the day in fear that she might get sexually assaulted. This is not okay.
To be yourself in a world that it's constantly trying to make you something else is an accomplishment
Life is short, always choose happiness.

Open Minded, So, Closed Minded?
Now... if you know me, you know that I have very strong views on some things. Like for example gay marriage, I get HEATED when people call gay people faggots or say they shouldn't have the right to get married. I believe love is love and I believe there is no freedom till we're equal. I am accepting, I do not judge, and I have a very open mind.
I have such an open mind. An open mind to new cultures, other people, things that I just don't get, I have an open mind.
...or do I?
Is it possible to be so open minded that in turn you are closed minded? I actually would say yes. Now, I haven't done any research or anything like that, so I guess this is just my opinion, however, I am an educated girl who has seen a lot, been through a lot, and I am very observant with these things. So, with what I am about to say, try and keep an open mind ;)
Listening to hardcore music, you go to shows and see EVERYONE say they have an open mind. Literally, everyone. The bands, the security guards, the concert-goer, everyone you meet at a hardcore show claims they have an open mind. I get that, we are all a bunch of outcasts listening to this music that not a lot of people get so it brings us together. But I don't think that just because you listen to this music means that you automatically have an open mind. I see kids claim they have an open mind, then a rich business man, mid 50's, suit and tie, comes walking along and gets in his 2014 BMW, he is automatically a rich douchebag that is ignorant and doesn't know anything. Wait. They are supposed to be open minded at a hardcore show though right? Yeah, that's what I thought to. My father is one of those business men, and honestly, he is one of the most laid back, forgiving, OPEN MINDED people I have ever met. I get the stereotypes of those rich business people. I do, but there are SO many stereotypes about hardcore kids aren't there? And ask any hardcore kid if any of them are true, he would probably say no. We get looked at as ignorant, angry, depressed kids. When in reality, we are so positive and there is a family aspect in the hardcore community. So, what gives us the right to turn around and judge other people? We see a guy with tattoo sleeves and we give him a chance, he could be the biggest dick ever, but then we see a business guy and just assume when he could be the coolest guy ever. So yeah, I think most hardcore kids are so open minded that they are closed minded, and I am one of them for sure. No one is completely open minded.
Everyone is a hypocrite, everyone is a little closed minded, and it sucks. But that is just because we all come from different places, some things we just aren't used to or comfortable with. Honestly, that's OKAY. People always jump down people's throats for being closed minded about some things, but maybe they have just never been exposed to it. We have to cut each other some slack as a human race. Everyone promises things that sometimes we just can't follow through on. It happens, that's called life. That doesn't make me a hypocrite. But everyone says one thing one time and another, another moment. Maybe, in that different moment we didn't feel the same as we did before. Sure, that classifies as being a "hypocrite" that doesn't mean they are a bad person, necessarily.
With that all being said, let's cut each other some slack. Think about it the next time you see that guy with tattoos, that rich old guy, that poor homeless guy, and approach it with an ACTUAL open mind.
Kill yourself...
I'm sorry, but if you tell someone to kill themselves, you're a fucking ass hole. Period.
I just got told "Just go ahead and do it... the world would be a better place without you."
Who the fuck in their right mind would ever, EVER say that. I wouldn't even say that to my worst enemy. That person knew me for about two weeks tops and didn't even know me. I could've been really depressed for all he knew, that could have been the one thing that sent me over the edge. The sad part? I have been depressed. Very depressed. I have contemplated suicide multiple times and I have self harmed. If this was a year and a half ago, I probably would have done it if someone told me that. That is not okay. At all. That is the reason there is something wrong with the world, because of people like that.
I try and be so positive, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, I am a genuine good person. I always look at the glass half full and I always think people are way better than society puts us out to be... until something like this happens. I don't even see where someone can say that and think it's okay. I didn't even do anything.
If you have ever said that to someone, shame on you. If someone has ever told you that and you're still here... you're strong. If someone has ever told you that and now you actually want to... don't. That just gives them what they want. Stay here. Things will get better, I am the prime example of that. And in a year, or two, maybe 10, when you're still here and happy, throw the middle finger up to that person who told you to kill yourself and say "fuck you I'm still here and happier than you will ever be."
If anyone needs anyone to talk to, TALK TO ME. I am always here and I WANT TO HELP, I CARE. I might not know you, or your story, or anything about you, but trust me when I say I can help, and I want to help. Their is strength in the world, there is hope.
Just incase you missed it..
