Red Spades is a smaller gang in Seoul, SK, however their small size doesn’t mean they aren’t a force to be reckoned with. They go toe to toe sometimes with one of the largest gangs in Seoul, the 7Stars (whom my Daesung is a part of). The leader, known to those outside of the gang as Minji, is a tough cookie who has a tendency to take in strays. Everyone in her gang was found abandoned on the streets or needed protection from something or another- family, ex gang, etc. The gang life was something she was familiar with from her childhood, her mother a prominent figure in England where she came from, though the fall of that group sent them to South Korea to hide, though Kali (Minji) started her own little family when her mother died. Each member of the family/gang have a red spade tattoo- tattooed on their place of choosing. A filled in Spade signals they’ve either taken a life FOR the gang or completed some large task assigned by Kali. A hollow spade is the base for all gang members that they get upon entering (with the exception of those under 18, they wait until they’re 18 to receive the tattoo). There’s a specific tattooist they go to for this (spot open). This gang is open to all, not just muses on my blog. Simply because i like groups and family dynamics. Is this cliche? Fuck yes. Do I care? N A H.
