Exciting news!

Hello guys!

Sorry for the period of inactivity. This has all been for a good reason: Remember our original goal of translating the book to japanese in order to sell it at japanese doujinshi events? 

Well, the team leader has been busy and has made friends with japanese people in the HxH japanese doujinshi community. Since they loved the fanbook project they are really excited about helping us out so we're pleased to announce this is very much close to becoming a reality! :D

However, we're still missing a crucial key element: We need an english-japanese translator (or a spanish-japanese translator, either way is okay.)

If anyone knows of a translator that might be willing to help please send us a message and/or let us know.

Japanese version or not, we're also waiting on some external factors to release the re-print of the original english-spanish version. It might happen until next year given our printer went on winter hiatus, but please rest assured, a re-print is definitely a thing that will happen! As per usual, we apologise for the wait.

In storenvy it was said that the fanbook is "preorder - coming soon". Does that mean you will open the second-round pre-order? I hope so, because I really really wanna buy but I'm too late to order the 1st round :((

Yes, as we said before, we do intend to open a second round of preorders. However, the first round of preorders had several logistic issues we're trying to turn around and fix before we open the second round. This will most likely take some time but rest assured, a second round will happen! :)

What'll happen if someone didn't get the book yet? And it was sent by almost 5+ weeks ago?

Hello Anon. That is quite unfortunate.

There was a small batch of packages that were shipped at a much later date and 4 books which have not been shipped because artists have not provided their shipping information. We too know that, while most people from USA have gotten their books, people from Latin America and Europe have just started receiving their copies despite being sent a while back, so if you are in any of those areas we ask you to wait a little longer.

Regardless, please send us your order number or, if you are a participating artist, your name to our email ( hxh.venaticbook[ at ]gmail.com ) so we can asses the situation and work out a solution.

IT CAME IN THE MAIL

My copy of the Hunter x Hunter: On a Venatic Path collaborative art book!! Wow, holy crap, I don’t think I geek out on things in the mail as much as this when I saw the packaging. How can all these pieces look even BETTER on traditional print?! I thoroughly enjoyed each and every page as I flipped through and saw all the artists work and the added written pieces— everybody really did a remarkable job! Especially the organizer, akayashi!Thanks so much for your hard work!!!

I also loved seeing my art within the little Neferpitou section of the book, hee hee.Would it be too much to go into detail on how incredible each picture was? Seriously, everyone, you all did an amazing job and I hope all the contributors and per-orderers enjoy their copy as much as I do!

Hello everyone!

So, as we’ve all heard by now, the Hunter x Hunter 2011 anime is ceasing production,and will be ending with episode 148. While we’re not 100% sure if it’s a hiatus, or really the end, we’re all still pretty sad about it! After all, our collective love for the anime (and manga) is what brought us together in this crazy little corner of the internet, and ya’ll are such a crazy, creative, amazing bunch of people and we’re so glad we’re all part of this together!  That’s why, instead of moping and crying (we’ll still be doing that tbh) , we should bid the hxh anime goodbye for now, by showing each other what it means to us, and why we love it so much!

We want to have a ‘Hunter x Hunter Week’, a seven day long celebration that will take place September 22-28th, the week the ‘final’ episode is set to be released. We want to have themes for each day of the week, and would love if ya’ll could help us out with picking out some of them! This fandom is made up of every single of of you, whether or not you’ve posted art, fic, opinions, or none of those things! We want as many people participating in this as possible, and we want to make sure you all have a say in what the themes are!

As a wise man once said, ‘We’re all in this together’.

So please send us your asks with suggestions for themes, we want to have them all finalized by Tuesday night so we can give ya’ll time to work on your contributions!

We're reblogging this here because, even if it's not exactly related to the fanbook, this fandom is nothing short of amazing and talented as the HxH fanbook proudly serves as a proof of.

Though the news were pretty much expected, to think the anime will end in a matter of weeks still feels a bit soon, don't you guys agree? We still feel a bit blindsided by it. 

Anyhow, we'd like to invite you to join the hxhweek project. None of us among the fanbook team have to do anything with the HxH week but we'd like the creative community of HxH to come close once again because we love this anime/manga with all our everything and we are always up for finding ways to help artists and writers to keep on contributing to the fandom.

Also, there is an anime countdown happening here: hxh-animecountdown and the deadline to join is coming closer so be careful- if you are an illustrator make sure to don't miss it~!

Let's wave goodbye to the anime with one heck of an explosive big bang impact of creative awesomeness! :')
