It had been far too long, long enough for Souji to want to meld himself against the other. "That's okay, you're here now." He had been.... lonely... without the other, so he was ready to spend as long as he possibly could in this familiar hold.

He wasn't going to let go anytime soon, that much was absolutely certain. The only movement he made was simply to pull Souji closer, a gentle sigh leaving him in the process. He had missed the other more than he could ever express, but he was back now and he was there to stay.

“I’m sorry, I’m afraid I don’t understand.” The bull’s chains clanked as he tilted his head, shifting slightly within the confines of where he was being kept, soft red eyes gazing at the other with a soft blink.

“Could you say that again…?”

“I… I asked if you want out…” Ashton said softly, wringing his hands together. He hated seeing any living being confined in such a way.. “I-I can help.. but I need to know if you want that..”

“...You are aware of what I am, aren’t you?” Axle inquired, blinking slightly in confusion. Why did this person want to set him free? It was something he was trying to wrap his head around, he’d never experience anything like that before.

“I’ve been in this cage my entire life, I don’t even know where I would go even if I was free...I’m not human, you know...”

A massive red bull thundered down the nighttime streets, people scattering and desperately scrambling to get out of the beast’s path. Head down, mouth foaming and hooves pounding against the concrete, the raging demonic creature had his eyes trained ahead, moving like a freight train as he continued on his way, narrowly avoiding running over those who didn’t manage to get out of the way in time.

After years of being forced to fight and confined within a cage, he had finally had enough and everyone out and about were fearing for their lives, even though they were barely noticed by the demonic animal.

Senri, never one for violence, can only think of how best to remedy the situation as fast as possible so innocents don’t get hurt. And wasn’t that just a strange thought for a vampire, keeping humans safe. But he really is a lover not a fighter.

While he’s sure that some think it’s a zoo escape, he can smell supernatural forces all over this creature and it makes his need to step in even more dire before things get out of hand.

“Oh no you don’t.” He steps into the bull’s path, hands coming out to hopefully grip horns and at least slow it down. He honestly doesn’t know if his strength would be enough. He wasn’t like Claude or Eiri.

“Please, you don’t want to do this, you don’t want to hurt people. Let’s just talk.” He tries to reason, face open and kind.

The second that voice called out to him, the beast slammed on the breaks, ears forward as he skidded heavily to a stop just inches from the vampire’s outstretched hands. Sides violently heaving, mouth dripping with foaming saliva, sweat glistening upon his flaming hide and head lowered, he stilled after shaking his massive horns.

In fact rather than trying to charge Senri, he stepped back and tilted his head to listen to him, flaming tail giving a slight swish after a moment before a gentle, mediumly-pitched voice answered in response.

“I never wanted to hurt anyone in the first place. I only want to get away, nothing more than that.” The bull murmured, glowing eyes blinking for a brief moment a he struggled to try and catch his breath. He’d been running for quite some time and it showed.

“If I get caught, I’ll be sent back to the fighting rings. I can’t go back there, I don’t want to be forced into another battle with other demons.”

Axle gave a low, tired sigh, leaning against the back wall of the cage in which he was kept, the heavy shackle and chain around his neck clinking as he shifted to sit more comfortably. Eyes closed, trying his best to get a small amount of sleep despite the pain of the wounds from his previous battle fought just a few hours ago.

He barely paid any attention to the footsteps approaching his confinement, eyes not bothering to open, simply too tired to care too much about whoever was around.

A red haired man was holding a tray of food and a cup of water, hands trembling nervously as he walks. He was assigned to bring food and water to a man they captured from battle. This was his first duty and was worried he might mess up. Worse, if the prisoner try something. He arrived at the confinement and stood in front, shaking a bit.

“H-here’s your f-food.” He spoke in a trembling tone of voice.

Soft, red eyes opened to look at the young man, seeing him shaking and hearing the fear within his voice. Shifting slightly, a gentle smile appeared upon his features.

“Thank you, I appreciate it.” He said, expression softening even further, body language remaining passive and quiet. “You don’t have to be afraid of me, I won’t cause any harm to you. I hold no ill will towards you.”

It was late in the evening, many people walking quietly down the streets after visiting a traveling event that housed demons of all shapes, species and sizes. Within the complex where the carnival was being held, demons were going up for auction, people travelling for miles to claim a beast of their own to control, many choosing more predatory types such as wolves, bears, and many other types of animal-like demonic creatures, all of which were currently being seen in their four-legged forms.

After the final predator had been auctioned off, the next to be brought up was a massive, flaming red bull, head low and horns swinging from side to side as he gave a loud bellow to signal his arrival, steps steady, and slow. He came to a stop and simply just stood there, head lowered and the flames which engulfed him licking at the ground like the tongue of a gentle kitten, tail swishing slightly.

“And here we have one of our best fighters, most of you got to see him in the ring just hours ago! At Twenty-Five years old with the strength of nearly thirty men, it’s the Brahman Bull! Bidding will begin at 4500 dollars, do I hear an opening bid?” The auctioneer yelled over the loudspeaker, the aforementioned demon simply giving a quiet sigh as shining, large eyes gazed listlessly over the crowd before him, head raising just enough to get a good look at everything around him.

It wasn’t the first time he’d been fought or sold off, nor would it be the last as far as he was concerned. Master after master, ring after ring, constantly being forced into battles where his life was on the line, yet the scarred bull put up no resistance, the crowd falling silent, as though unwilling to take their chances upon such a seemingly ferocious creature, though all Axle wanted at that point was to go back to his cage and just...Be left out of it all.
