I can finally, FINALLY post these.

Last year, I was fortunate to work on the new Netflix show, The Midnight Gospel. It is this beautiful, trippy, unexpected foray into philosophy and love. Everyone should give it a watch. I strongly believe that. It will make you cry and feed your soul.

These are all scenes or locations I did colour design for. We were given a remarkable amount of freedom on this production by Pen and Duncan, and I got to live my best rainbow life. I love the grainy nature of the paint style – it allowed layering of contrasting hues in a way that makes everything just vibrate with vitality and energy.

So, there’s more evidence to Bispearl than people think…

I’m not saying it’s canon but I’ve noticed some things…

For one there’s obviously the episode where bismuth is introduced…

As the other small hints in that episode… but there’s other things people haven’t noticed, like this quote from bismuth,

“I outfitted the entire rebellion.”

Does that mean…

She made all these swords for Pearl?

Probably. But wait there’s more…

Pearl has an extensive knowledge about weapons. She describes rose’s sword using key words to name parts of a sword and it’s design.

Also…

Pearl is a great builder! She knows how to build very well. Bismuths are used on homeworld to build things. You can see where this is going.

But most of all..

This is always key evidence.

Cinnamon - lust, enhancing passion, healing, attracts money, psychic powers

Clove - enhances banishing rituals, attracts positive energies

Cherry - relaxation, money

Dragon’s Blood - enhances love, protection. Used for exorcisms 

Eucalyptus - good health, protection, healing rituals

Frankincense - good health, protection, purification, protection, spiritual growth, knowledge, meditation, astral strength 

Ginger Root - promote psychic growth and success

Hibiscus - divination, love and lust, attraction rituals

Honeysuckle - enhance the bonds of love, heal relationships, strengthen love

Jasmine - relaxation, dreams. Can create prophetic dreams if burned in the bedroom

Juniper - healing, purification from hexes
