she can’t be hasty just yet — even though this lowlife freakshow seems harmless, there’s a reason he’s made it this far without being caught.

                                                  — no worries, though. as soon as she gets her diary back, she will obliterate him for sure. after all, future diary holder or not, komaeda nagito is an impediment. he’s too troublesome, and keeping someone as nosy as him alive might just come back as a curse of its own. he’s better off dead ; the sooner the better.

& for that reason, her eyes remain fixed to the journal in his hands; it hasn’t vibrated just yet so yukki’s predicament hasn’t changed, but even then — she needs it back. it’s hers.

mirai nikki = that “battle royale” survival game with diaries that predict certain aspects of the future

01. ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’ scene as kids

teacher wants them to draw pictures with small caption

most students get things done quickly, esp. because … they know.

ie: tsumiki / “i want to become a doctor + help people.”

komaeda and hinata are the only ones with bad responses

komaeda draws a picture of a boy in a hospital with the IV drip attached

hinata can’t think of what to draw, he can only think of very basic things

both of them get scolded by the teacher, but komaeda’s is definitely like … “you shouldn’t joke around like that” / “i wasn’t joking..aha.”

with hinata, it’s more … “hey, come on, you got to get this stuff figured out at some point, hinatakun… c’mon, what’s your purpose in life?” / my..purpose..?

teacher gets arrested later for uh … game

02. route 1: komaeda & hinata in the game, no hpa/reserve course things

hinata is just donezo, does not want to take part

komaeda does some uncomfortable scary things that may or may not involve…an attempt to kill hinata

“hinatakun, you should really be more alert. i could have seriously injured you there!”/ “you’re..the one seriously injured right now if anything, komaeda.” / “oh this? hm… this is nothing.”

hinata keeps thinking why is this … suspicious-person-who-just-yesterday-seemed-completely-normal hanging out with him so nonchalantly when both of them are, well, supposed to be trying to kill each other??!(the real questions)

“oh, is that why you’re so on-edge? hinatakun, i didn’t expect that from you…”

turns out that komaeda has no plans of killing him, no that wouldn’t be … fun at all. also turns out that komaeda doesn’t have “much to gain” from this sort of game anyway, asides from the fact that the winner becomes god…nowthat would be…interesting.

says he doesn’t want that power to go to someone who doesn’t deserve it, and well, hinatakun…

something so incoherent doesn’t do much to calm hinata’s nerves, but…for some reason, he’s able to be a bit calmer around komaeda— still weary, but…

revealed later that with deus’s powers, you can make the sick become unsick, which makes komaeda … less altruistic-seeming, easy-to-trust as hinata thought (because komaeda often alluded that he’d have nothing to do with the power once he’d have it, that it would be as good as gone once in his hands, but…) / hinata becomes somewhat weary of him again. not that he’s ever fully trusted this person, but he got close and—

03. route 2: komaeda’s not in the game, hinata is

komaeda still lingers around hinata, even after hinata tells him not to

komaeda figures it out pretty quickly, that something … “supernatural” is going on here, isn’t it?—uh.. “no need to worry hinatakun~ lips are sealed.”

hinata thought having komaeda around would be … burdening. mainly because, it’s well, dangerous, but…komaeda’s useful.

komaeda & deus have a conversation. komaeda says that they are in similar predicaments. deus laughs and says they’re nothing alike.

komaeda winds up in the game later.
