( if i was going to have to spend
every moment in my room being
thrown sly little comments, this
situation won’t be lasting very
long. i realize there will be some
people who won’t like me, but
that doesn’t mean we can’t try
to get along, right?
(apparently my roommate
thinks otherwise.)
yes, i am superficial, but there’s
more to me than that. i wish more
people would R E A L I Z E that
at least i know one good thing will come
out of all of this. i’ll be continuing the
cullen family down the line of doctors.
i am determined to make uncle carlisle
P R O U D of me, and i will do whatever
needs to be done to make that
p o s s i b l e,
even if that includes pretending my roommate
doesn’t exist. i know that sounds harsh, but
i can’t let her get to me. after all, i got out of
high school once. i’m not ready for it to happen
again. )
with every passing second, rosalie found it harder and harder to bit
her tongue. silently, the blonde felt her cheeks flush with color as
the anger started to bubble to the surface. if she didn’t have any
control over her temper, rosalie would have stalked right over to
her roommate and ripped the book right out of her hands. thankfully,
the blonde barbie had a good grasp on controlling her actions.
rolling her eyes, the blonde took a deep breath. of course, it would be
her luck to get stuck with a roommate that already disliked her - not
to mention that attitude. ‘ well. i see no problem with, how did you word
it. ‘ a sly smile slipped onto her face. ‘ bringing a shopping mall with me.
and i have every plan to go to the one down the street and bring more
back. you’ll just have to suck it up. ‘
as if she was trying to prove a point, rosalie turned on point and
began unboxing and sorting her enormous pile of clothing. every
few seconds, she would be sure to turn back towards her roommate
and throw a look. surely they wouldn’t fight the entire time of their
time together - rosalie was, regrettably, good at holding grudges.
even for the tiniest, stupidest little reasons.
almost on queue, the blonde threw down the sweater in her hand and
turned on her heels to face h e r. ‘ look. we don’t have to be friends. i
do, however, expect us to be able to get A L O N G like adults. so.
slack off the digs, alright? ‘ with another sharp intake of breath, rosalie
turned away, busying her attention on her clothing once more. ‘ i’d like
to think you can manage that. ‘
( i hadn’t meant to piss her off this
much; & to be entirely honest. . .
i didn’t hate her. guess i should
learn by now not to judge a book
by it’s cover... but sometimes it’s
easier said than done. if managing
u n f a v o r a b l e
events throughout my LIFE was a
class, i think i could say... that i’d
receive an A.
i didn’t come to C O L L E G E to
make enemies, nor did i really come
to make any friends either . . . so,
i think i might be able to ‘manage’
my roommate. if she doesn’t drown
me with all of her accessories FIRST. )
bella’s pulse began to rise as she attempted to become
even more translucent than she all ready was. she didn’t
detest c o n f r o n t a t i o n, she just preferred avoiding
it at all costs; unless of course she was the one to ignite
the situation – which in this unfortunate case... she had!
silently taking in a deep breath through her nostrils, bella
shook her head & tried her best to c o n t i n u e on with
FINISHING her beloved book. she could ‘suck it up’ all
right, but that certainly didn’t mean that she wouldn’t SLIP
UP. she hadn’t meant to say what regrettably escaped out
of her mouth. it was only a ridiculous comment that
!P O P P E D!
into her thoughts & she just so happened to speak it allowed.
head lowering itself closer & closer to the brown stained
pages of her novel, bella tried to disregard all of the HATE
filled glares that she so happened to be receiving.
the requests the blonde made were reasonable & her incentive
seemed to be in the RIGHT place. bella was more than delighted
to have finally come to some sort of c o n c l u s i o n without
any unreasonable violence or irrational actions. placing the book
down beside her feet, bella made eye contact with rosalie &
reluctantly nodded – overlooking the condescending tone that
the other was using towards her. she supposed she deserved it.
after all, in a way, she had been the one to start the unpleasant
tension that l o o m e d throughout the dorm.
‘ yeah... sure.i can do that. mmm... & i mean–who knows??
MAYBE we could be friends. ’ ( it didn’t seem like that bad
of an option. )
