Hyacinthleaves is a little fanfiction blog that I'm creating because I honestly want to give back to the fanfiction community. I've been reading them since I was pretty young and I think that non-canon creations take so much skill and patience. Since I've been reading them for so long, I think that its time to give back (even in a very small and simple way) and consistently try to spend time writing some myself. Obviously I've been writing them on and off but I just wanted them to have a space of their own again as well. We start again!

-Headcanons and imagines only for now. Maybe I'll write a fanfic or two or a matchup event every once in a while but not normally -Only Character x Reader or Character x Reader x Character. -No NSFW currently. And I just mean nothing too inappropriate. If you're not sure, just ask anyway. I'll let you know -Don't request more than two characters unless its like a harem situation. -Try to check the masterlist and see if I've done certain asks before, just to save me time. It's not that big of a deal though -Don't be rude because sometimes I do have the time to respond to it. It won't be pretty. -Don't ask for race specific stuff unless you're black. Why? Because I'm black. And I also don't have the most time in the world to research every culture that yall show up with, even though I'd love to. -I have the right to straight up refuse whatever ask I don't want to do. Gardener Phenomaman is just so cute. Imagine him with a s/o who has plant abilities. I feel like he'd be so enamored with our ability and just bombard us with plant facts. Phenomaman is just standing there fascinated, spitting facts on the type of plants that we conjured up (whether we do it intentionally or not) talking about what type they are, whether they're poisonous, or have healing properties, etc.

And you just have to let him talk because he just looks so happy to share this with you (and you probably know but that's not the point)

Hiking would be so funny because if you're not really a hiker, and you just proposed it randomly, he will baby you along the way. Like thanks but come on. It reminds me of that voice line where he was talking to flambae about humans attempting to fly. He doesn't want you getting hurt. Plus he doesn't get why he wouldn't just yk. Float/fly up the trail with you

I think movie night is the easiest one to integrate into your relationship. Show him the classics that he missed out on before he got here. Just. Don't make him watch La La Land. That might rewire his brain

Gardening would also be a good one. I think he would find it to be very relaxing. No one would get away from his plant facts

If you speak a different language, please teach him. It'll be the funniest shit ever. He's so confident but starts off so bad it's hilarious

What do you think Robert might do with an s/o with the power to take away his wounds? Like they're working as a dispatcher because their power isn't all that field useful and he keeps coming in with all these cuts and bruises so they just.... take it away because he looks like he's been through enough. Obviously it's only limited to physical stuff but yeah. Healing power s/o- the drawback being that in order to heal they take the wounds themselves.

Robert Robertson:

Bro bold of you to assume you can just use your powers on him

Under no circumstances will he just let you take any wounds he has. It doesn't even matter if it's just a papercut

Like he would rather shit in his hands and clap than let you take an injury he has

He's even against it with other people. Just don't even do it around him

He won't outright say no if it's for others but you'll get a firm and on your shoulder and an "Are you sure?" from him

Sometimes he's so glad that you're just a dispatcher because he 1.) Doesn't want you getting hurt 2.) doesn't want you getting hurt for other people

You'll get into arguments about this because he'll just be like "The injury isn't going away, it's just moving so nothing's really getting solved"

And then he'll go on a tangent about how it punishes YOU for mistakes other people did— yeah no just. Don't.

If you have a habit of doing it anyway, he literally starts to learn when you're about to do it. Like he'll see your expression change and 80% of the time he'll just go "Don't even think about it" unless it might actually be more convenient for you to take an injury

He's very protective when it comes to this

Like reader is also a hero but like has an alter ego? Like Peter Parker he’s more ‘nerdy’ but as Spider-Man he’s more cocky confident etc etc

So I was basically thinking a headcanon that’s Robert x hero!reader that kind of has two sides a nerdy side and a more confident quippy side

one being reader when in their hero persona and the other when they’re in their usual persona (my English sucks ik)

He just finds it really amusing because while he does see both versions of you as ....you, he subconsciously believes that the nerdy you is the real you

Because I mean, he's dating you for real you. If you didn't have your alter ego, he would still love you

But he's like "I know how they really are" and that's not a bad thing

If that sounds confusing, here's the summary: he likes your cocky side a little more because he thinks it's silly, but he's still dating you for your nerdy side

I was going to say that he treats you the same no matter what version he gets but I actually don't think that's true

He does have the same respect for you, obviously, those things don't change

But he's more inclined to match your energy. If you're confident and cocky, he becomes a lot more playful and maybe even a little competitive. That might be another reason why he likes your competitive side just a little more; he gets to have fun without worrying if he's bothering you

If you're more lowkey then he will be too.

It's a slight dynamic shift, and he just goes with what you give him

This isn't one of the relationships where you kinda have to guess that you're together

EVERYONE knows that you're prism's girlfriend. They don't have to ask

It's just something that's immediately ingrained into everyone's heads

It's not even because of heavy PDA or anything like that

She just somehow manages to bring it up in normal conversation

Anyone can tell that the two of you started off as best friends before you started dating, you know that kind of connection?

Because of this, I feel like a lot of things are split 50/50 between you two in terms of chores and stuff

It's not really something you had to establish or force, everything just flowed that way

Your schedules definitely won't line up all the time, and when you two just happen to be at home together, y'all are going out within a span of an hour

I think she's the type of person to advocate for having separate rooms but sleeping in the same bed

I can definitely see both of you helping each other get ready in the morning and getting ready for bed

*sometimes she will just call in sick because "the bed is too warmmm" (she just wants to stay with you)

She def likes to cook with you when y'all get the chance. It just tends to be a little rare

Depending on your schedule she might make you lunch, and when she does, she adds little notes that gas you up like its so funny
