“Are you talking about me?” Camille said trying to alleviate the tension that Klaus was clearly facing at the moment with a joke. “This place was really wrecked, huh?” She said walking around and looking at the disaster the earthquake had caused. She hadn’t seen much of Klaus since she was… brought back, but it was mostly because Camille had no idea how to approach him. Klaus had gone his own way but Cami had hoped they were still in friendly terms. “Is there any way I can help?” She asked with genuine care. If she was certain of something is that Klaus really cared about art and Cami had been starting to paint herself recently.
Klaus looks up at the blonde’s voice and offers her a hint of a smile, “Camille, how could I?” He says with a shake of his head, he’d seen her as a mess and this wasn’t it, though it hardly surprised him to see her trying to make light of a bad situation. “Its never been earthquake proofed, I was closer to home when it started, went right to my daughter’s home down the street to help her.” Billie’s seven year old trapped under a dresser made him glad he was there. “Handy with a mop are you?” He asks with a smirk, knowing full well he wouldn’t turn down the help, in fact he had half a mind to compel some poor fool to do it. “I’d welcome the company, how did you fare?” When people started to come back from the dead, it was just oddly timed, how funny it was that he had into Caroline reconnecting with her before he had Camille. How different life would have been if things went otherwise, his children could be completely different.
