If she wanted to survive, this was how it was going to have to be. If she loved Klaus Mikaelson, this was how it was going to have to be. It went against almost every moral teaching she’d come to know from childhood to schooling, but those lessons didn’t exactly include what to do when a thousand year-old vampire injects a venom into his body that can kill all vampires with one bite. The laws of the supernatural were different… and that was going to take some adjusting. She made an audible sigh at his joke, attempting to laugh at it. “Well how about this…” she fixed her posture, “Take a life to save a life… killing when it means saving someone else, like what you did to Lucien when he was gonna kill Hayley… you saved her… I think that’s where we can meet in the middle…” to silence any kind of arguments, at least for a few seconds, she leaned forward and placed only one kiss against Klaus’s lips, very slow, very light, very gentle, before she pulled back and rested the small of her back on the arm of the couch, “I think we could make a pretty good team that way.”

Klaus lets a serious expression cross his face as he thought about Camille’s suggestion of only killing when it would save a life. “Believe it or not I tried to live by that since seeing Hope as a little girl. Looking up at me with her big bright eyes, she looked at me as if...I was some knight in shining armor, not an expression I’m used to.” She opened a whole new train of thinking for Klaus, her and Hayley, senseless killing is what lead to the mountain of enemies that threatened their daughter and he didn’t want nor need to add anymore to the list. A soft lop sided grin creeps onto his lips just as easily as the light kiss she placed there. The monstrous bastard Klaus Mikaelson reduced to warm putty by only two women in the world, certainly not something he would openly admit to the world but also not something he could easily deny. “I suppose we do, in as many ways we are different, Cami, we also very much alike. I think that is why we connect as we do.” When he got too comfortable within his darkness she urged him back towards the light and now he’d have to do the same for her when her blood lust became too much for her.
