My name is Ferus and I am an adult bull leopard seal based in Sweden. I am also an Antarctic blue whale. Physically and biologically leopard seal—mentally and spiritually both. I do experience shifts as both a leopard seal and a blue whale.

I am quite disconnected from human ideas of gender but have a preference for it/its pronouns. I am ok with he/him and they/them as well!

I was born as a leopard seal and plan to transition back to my original shape. I consider myself transspecies.

I am physically, biologically, spiritually and mentally nonhuman in every way.

Please do not refer to me as human! 

I would love to talk to more nonhumans and make some friends, so feel free to send me a dm or ask about anything really! I do not bite! Not hard at least...

I am an adult, and would prefer if minors don't send me dms. Follows and post interactions are fine though!

Original posts will be irregular as I have much going on in my life at the moment, and so it will mostly be reblogs, but if I find the time I might post some drawings now and then as I enjoy it as a hobby.

Some orcas! I want to start posting here again, and what better way to come back than with some killer whales! These are just some quick designs to get back into art again but I'm quite pleased with them.

Top one is a Pack Ice, or type B1, orca. Never drawn one of them before so had fun with that one. The yellow of the diatoms was enjoyable to figure out! Bottom one in an Antarctic type A; my favorite ecotype! Not much else to say about it, but I'm happy with the pose!

Nurse shark (Ginglymostoma cirratum).

First shark request done! I did not do a background as I felt like just showing off the shark! I think I will do this for all of them.

I've never drawn a nurse shark before, so this was great practice! They are lovely sharks and I realized I quite enjoy drawing their pectoral fins. Sad I didn't show off more of the caudal fin as it is very pretty, but there will be more chances! Quite happy with how this turned out though and I'm excited to draw the rest!

There really aren't that many blue whales around. You are the second one I've seen! Totally fine to be excited, I was too when I found another blue.

It is a very nice feeling to find someone else like you and I'm glad I could help with that as it is a feeling I recognize. There really weren't that many leopard seals when I joined tumblr for example, and now I've seen a bunch!

If I'm ever allowed to once again go back to the water, I want to believe my human friend would come visit. They are one of two amicable human relationships I have and I really do not want to lose them.

Depicted here is me in my tank and my friend. The silhouette is vague enough that it could be anyone so as to not show any identifying features. I know if I ever do go back to the water, this is probably not what I'll look like, but I wanted to draw me as I truly am.

Leopard seal! Terror of the sea! They’re very solitary, so when it comes time to find a mate they “sing” with local and long-distance vocalizations. :-)
