The Divide on Tweek

Tweek is a character that has sparked divide on how to portray him when it comes to certain characteristics (those characteristics concerning his masculinity and how independent/tough he is). Recently, I’ve seen more people bringing this divide up, so I want to throw my thoughts into the mix.

The Holidays

(deltarune spoilers)

This post has been written as of DELTARUNE’s demo release. If you are reading this in the future, check the original post for any edits and clarifications.

In Deltarune, there is a family of reindeers close to the Dreemurrs. They are the Holidays.

Rudolph “Rudy”

The father is Rudy, or formally known as Rudolph. His name is a reference to Santa Claus’ famous red-nosed reindeer.

Bonus: While never seen in Undertale, Rudy is mentioned in Asgore’s dialogue from the planned Undertale alarm app.

Noelle

The daughter is Noelle. Her name is a reference to Noel, another word for Christmas adapted from the French word noël.

Dess

Given the context, Dess is presumably Noelle’s sibling. If this turns out to be correct, Dess is likely a reference to the holiday month, December.

Reminder: While the planned dialogue for the Undertale alarm app only mentions a daughter, Deltarune and Undertale are two separate universes with their own rules and stories.

The mother’s name has not yet been revealed, but it’s predicted that her name will follow the Christmas theme.

That is why she hates to dream.

She likes to get herself as tired as possible, so she can fall into a deep sleep, and wake up quickly in the morning.

“I really envy you, Ymir.”

“Huh? Why?”

The girl always by her side smiled innocently.

“Because you sleep really soundly every night. You have no problems waking up in the morning too.”

“She doesn’t sleep in the classroom too,” another girl added.

Not everyone’s like you, okay, Ymir took a jab the other girl, Sasha, and turned to face Krista again.

“That’s because I make an effort to. I don’t want to get any weird dreams and wake up tired.”
