GOING TO RE-WORK LINK

Okay so with BOTW being out and having ALMOST fully beaten it I am going to re-work Link into being a BOTW Link like he is supposed to be. I will be keeping his current verse as a possible side-verse for anyone to roleplay and will keep that side-verse as a WC affiliated one seeing as it’s already made -some- progress so in a sense I guess I’ll be rping two different Link’s in WC but like ????? idk man 

his current verse will start being tagged as ToB Link though instead of WC, and BOTW will be tagged as BoTW Link

Avoiding debris, flying robots and laser beams. Boy what fun. Not really actually, Epona was horrified beyond belief and Link was struggling his hardest at not letting her get hit by any of the onslaught. You could say all of his attempts to avoid it is what lead him to finding a boy knocked unconscious on the ground, with a pool of blood beneath him. Hero senses tingling, Link pulled Epona to a halt and jumped from her saddle. He quickly hoisted Shinji from the ground and placed him on his horse before re-mounting her. Next stop: gotta find that pretty doctor lady he had met recently. She could fix this guy, probably.

She watched carefully, seemingly having to mutter to herself in order to figure out what was being said, but by the end of it she was sure she had enough of a jist to continue this conversation.

It was strange, though– He seemed to be able to hear her. Perhaps he was mute? Well, sign language is and was always a wonderful thing to know; the convenience is astounding, Angela would bet.

“Yes, I believe so. I just woke up, over there…” She gestures to a spot in the distance, seemingly a little worried.

“Is it safe here? This place seems so… Established. Usually waking up in strange places warrants one being on their guard, but you seem like a nice person.”

Another lift of his head as he nodded, this time to show that he was listening intently to what she had to say. He hadn’t sat down with someone and just held conversation like this... It was pleasing to say the least. 

‘It’s safe, yes. From what I have experienced so far.’ 

His experience of the Archipelago wasn’t very much... Seeing as he kept to himself, but from what he dealt with back in Hyrule, Solitude was much more peaceful than there.

‘Thank you for the compliment. You are nice yourself.’ 

Every motion of his hand and fingers seemed to be ruggish and awkward, comparable to his attempt at conversing with her. 

‘Do you happen to have a name? You can call me L-I-N-K.’ 

The blond proceeded to actually write each letter of his name out in the air in order for her to actually catch what his name was.

Sign language? Was that sign language? It wasn’t something she knew very well, but as a doctor she did try to accommodate all her patients– Yet, it seemed to be a little different from what she knew.

“I, uhm… Hmm… Are you asking if I understand you? My sign language skills are a little rusty, you’ll have to forgive me.” In the very least, she moves to sit down besides him, trying to focus her attention on anything his hands might say– If she focuses hard enough, surely she will be able to understand, right?

A look of shock and surprise took over his face. She at least could comprehend a bit of what he had spoke, albeit her explanation deflated his slight happiness to all but nothing. This was a step closer to communication than he had had since arriving on Solitude -- aside from Lana being his translator but, that was no longer an option.

With a slight nod to confirm that it was exactly what he was asking, Link began to start up again. His hand motions going a little slower in order to allow her time to catch them and hope that maybe she would be able to interpret what he meant. 

‘You must be new here, yes?’

Waking up somewhere unfamiliar with not recollection of how or why she was there did not settle well with Angela. Maybe if she were younger, in her early college days, she could blame it on alcohol and proceed to try to find her way home.

But she wasn’t in her early college days, and given her past and her history being somewhere unfamiliar (and alone) could be very dangerous for her.

The very least she could do is find someone– a person or omnic– who would be willing to help, who seemed unarmed. She didn’t want to fight, but she didn’t want to be alone right now either.

“E-Excuse me!” She calls out, jogging up to a nearby person.

“My apologies for calling out to you so suddenly, but I appear to be a little lost. You wouldn’t happen to know where I am, would you?”

‘You are the Hero of Courage’, that was the information Lana had left Link before she disappeared from the island. That statement was one riddled with confusion and unclarity for the still fledgling hero now. He had no reason to be a so called Hero now while on this strange Island. And further that, he was incapable of communicating with any of the people here. What was he to do...?

Sighing quite drearily to himself, Link settled into the grass and stared up at the clouds. Epona rested nearby, lying against the ground herself as the two soaked up the sun. It was the urgent call of a voice that startled him from his worrisome thoughts. Ah... here he was, at a draw-back of the recently realized issue.

‘Can you read my language?’ The blond had sat up from his comfortable resting place to properly sign to her. His fingers twisting and wrist curving as he tried to make an attempt to communicate with her. At this rate, he might as well learn the common language here, and carrying around parchment paper to write with.

Playing with a few animals that had came across, ranging from his many birds to a few bunnies that strayed along the cold season, he was chastising a little white bunny for panicking at the caw of his favourite raven. Scratch a bit of that out, he was actually practicing dark arts, with a circle made and a small orb that was being generated with his chanting. The bunny shrieked about that, the reason why Henry was coo-ing it to calm itself while keeping the spell in place. Humourously.

The neigh of a horse had him looking. The clapping of the hoof-beats sounded rather close.. Ah, it really was close.. getting closer.. closer. Of course, he didn’t bother moving, as he felt as though the horse wouldn’t dare try to trample over a human, animals were intelligent beings on their own instinct.

And it really did, warning the human mounted on it, as they both came to a stop. Were they a Nomad unit? That is pretty cool, given how rare they could be! Henry chuckled, standing up and smiling cheerfully at the calming rider.

“Haha! Sorry, I’m standing in your way, aren’t I?” Maybe he wasn’t worth being spoken to, given the Nomad gave a few hand gestures that he didn’t understand, despite knowing how to speak in sign language. It had a more foreign look, maybe it was a secret code for a curse to implant. Hoho..

Upon hearing the man’s voice, Link’s eyes blinked in shock. Would one not have been angry at the sudden near stomping? He was sure that would have been the most normal of responses.. Ah.. but, this worked in his favor. He would not have to worry about any attempts on his life at the least, which made this already a better greeting than the ones he received back in Hyrule.

Gesturing with his hands, Link found a response for Henry after a few seconds. ‘ It is alright. I was the one to stop you with your animals. ‘

Having been given the small rundown on the information of Solitude, Link was ushered up into a boat and sent to the Island of his Residence -- Keanu. Which now, left him where he was at this very moment. Staring at a door to a home that looked rather welcoming. It wasn’t as homely as Gerudo Valley, but just having the buildings built into the earth gave him some connection to Home.

Patting Epona’s back, he ventured from her side and wandered in to the home that was supposedly his. Well.. his and Lana’s as he’d been informed by the man who’d lead him here. He was grateful to all of those who had shown kindness thus far, it made easing in to a strange new world better.

As he walked inside, Link made sure to knock on walls in order to signal his arrival just in case she was home. Removing his boots from his feet and settling them at the front of the house, Link began to get lost inside of the building.

‘Where am I?’ ‘Where is this?’ ‘This isn’t Hyrule...’  Questions that would not have answers for a good length of time traversed the Hero’s thoughts. He was thankful to one faithful companion, Epona, whom he still sat atop as she wandered the grounds of this new, unfamiliar territory. With her here by his side Link was not so alone -- not so lost. It would have been much more worrisome had he crossed that bridge and she was no longer by his side. 

..Yes, he remembered about that much. The duo were crossing a bridge over a river and... now, they were here. Perhaps there had been a portal that he had not noticed? Was he perhaps on the inside of a secret Temple that had not been discovered before? Frowning in concern, the blond reached out and patted his horse on her neck and nickered her forward with his heels. He had not noticed the man that Epona was paused in front of, until she almost stomped on him.

Shock hit him rather quickly, as this man did not look like a member of the Gerudo tribe, nor a man of Hylian descent. Furrowing his brows his fingers lifted from Epona’s reigns. Unsure on if he could understand sign language or not, Link began to write out a question with his fingers. ‘Who are you?’
