        It was unheard of for Byakuya to be marginally late, let alone entirely absent from a meeting. He tended to be so thorough that should he know that his lieutenant was to be absent from the appropriate conferences, he would attend those in his subordinate’s stead. As such, one could be sure his lack of appearance was not of indolence and whilst he believed that would be obvious to his peers, he did not think it disrespectful to inquire about.

       “The Captain Commander left me with other instructions, I trust the meeting went well.”

     NO SUCH SIGN OF DISBELIEF forms unto the Captain’s features; his disposition calm, and he holds the utmost respect for his comrade. The Reiatsu that radiates from the other proves strength——the notion that he was assigned specifics is not all too surprising. Of course, the Captain knows better than to INQUIRE; his self-control and curiosity better controlled than the likes of the two’s lieutenants.

               EYEBROWS RAISE AS IF MILDLY IMPRESSED, gin’s neck craning lightly to the side as he continues to stare.  how amusing, he is–––  another child prodigy with a penchant for OBSTINACY…  however his rigidness has always been so very fun to TEASE.

                  SPINDLY FINGERS, ones that had been relaxed at his side only moments before, extend towards the shorter shinigami with patronizing intent.  they nestle between tufts of WHITE, ruffling hitsugaya’s hair as that sardonic smile STRETCHES.

                  ❝ ne, hitsugaya-kun–––  i’ll be sure to keep an eye out fo’ ya, if i’m ever in need of a good laugh. ❞ 

     THERE’S A SENSE OF REGRET THAT INSTANTLY POURS INTO THE CAPTAIN, his expression revealing that he is anything but AMUSED by the situation at hand. Iced hues roll at the elder’s recoil, a sigh following as it manages to slip ( without too much effort ) past the youth’s lips. He does not utter another word just yet——not so much out of FEAR of domineering, but due to the subtle pain that builds in his temple. Not until the elder palm had come to rest upon his crown does he grit his teeth, irritation building, and a clenched fist shifts with his arm to slap the elder’s apart from silver strands.

     HIS ICED GAZE SETTLES UPON one whose name could perhaps be found on a list of elite IDIOTS. Of course, the Lieutenant’s strength is undeniably strong——his Reiatsu sizable as it is capable of motivating a number of enemies to turn back. A comrade in arms; the young Captain thankful for that much, as although capable of pushing the youth to a mental limit, he has indeed proven to be valuable in battle. However, no such missions have been assigned to either of the pair, the Lieutenants current mission seemingly to be a PEST.

     CAPTAIN’S MEETINGS, always proving to be rather INTERESTING. They’re called, often without prior warning, and the information shared in them is often critical. Although they are not necessarily mandatory, it is better to not risk missing one unless absolutely necessary. Thus, it could be considered rare to see anyone absent. 

And when someone is an absentee; it does not go unnoticed. 

❝Kuchiki-taichou. ——Where were you?❞ He inquires; not so much as to scold, but from mere curiosity.

     WITH SWIFT STEPS, the Captain prove that efficiency is his top priority in this moment. A Hollow, several of them, have seemingly developed a strong interest in Karakura Town. So much so, that the Head Captain had demanded Hitsugaya report to the World of the Living to assist the Substitute at once. Hastily, the youth had travelled to the town, and without a moment’s rest had he begun to stumble upon the beasts. Nearly an hour pasts, and not only until a Hollow escapes the fate of the Substitute’s blade do the two unite. 

Thus does the young Captain’s own blade come to action; the fury of Hyōrinmaru exhibiting no signs of sympathy as it tears into the Hollow’s mask, leaving the beast to it’s predetermined fate.
