The ball didn't even hit the cable, chill out
Besides, England got a penalty rescinded because of VAR intervention for something that wasn't a clear and obvious error, which they've been doing to all the teams since the start of the knockouts.
You expect me to believe a guy who got shouted at by Tuchel on previous occasions is biased towards England?
The VAR monitors were French, American and Argentinian, why the fuck would they want England to win?
The ball absolutely hit the cable, the only people who claim to believe that it did not are those who benefit from that belief- i.e. English fans. I have not allowed myself to become brainwashed into trusting the technology (or the word) of a corrupt organization over my own eyes. I would encourage you to do the same. Be grateful your team got the calls and enjoy the win. But stop lying to yourself.
England got a penalty rescinded because the attacker threw his leg in front of the defender and created alllllllll of the contact. It was undoubtedly the correct call, and far from controversial.
+ If you wanna talk about penalties let’s talk about the Norwegian player who got elbowed in the back of the head/neck- the exact play that gave Neymar his consolation penalty against Norway in the round of 16. All people want is consistency. And the officiating in this tournament has been anything but.
Lastly it’s not about England vs Norway, it’s not about this specific referee, or some grand plot against the Norwegians, specifically, and this is what a lot of people are missing. It’s about which country FIFA stands to make more money off of. And that is unquestionably England.
Claiming not to grasp this is to be deliberately obtuse. FIFAs corruption has reached new heights during the course of this tournament and the countries that have benefited have almost all been the larger, richer and more popular ones. We saw it with Cape Verde, we saw it with Croatia, we saw it with Egypt and now we have seen it with Norway.
