hi. does anyone else ever think about her and start pacing the room. girl who lost everything and grew into a woman who willingly let go of the one person she had never lost, hoping it would save them all. hoping that a version of her would get to grow up surrounded by everyone she loved. hoping she's giving that version and her loved ones a chance at a better ending. knowing that ending doesn't belong to her and never will. and then she has to live. after it all. she has to live.

do you see my vision.......it's about the inevitable isolation caused by forces neither of them could control, and the dread and anxiety that had to have caused them. it's about them being left alone in that bunker. and it's about how everything's changed but your friend is still here and hurting and you don't know the way forward but what you do know is that you never stopped caring about them. even after everything, even after all the hurt. even then. and all you can do is hold each other. and maybe that's all you really need to do.

see the problem with listening to a rock cover of "elastic heart" on loop, right after posting a chapa & bose oneshot, is that i'll start having thoughts like "actually, the chapa de silva & bose o'brien duo is kinda victor deslandes & romane berthauds duo-coded. if you squint."

which is, of course, a deeply absurd sentence to say, and also there is probably exactly one single person alive who would have any idea what i mean by it.
