The mcyt community is never something I was big into so this is my first exposure to a lot of these creators, so please don't expect me to incorporate old content outside of adopted hcs!

hi lovely, please don't apologize for not knowing; it's entirely understandable that people assumed the massive issues the qsmp had had been resolved! like, for rational normal people, you'd imagine there wouldn't be a qsmp 2 without qsmp 1 being retroactively fixed but alas quackity doesn't give a fuck.

but no, no one has received an apology, or any sort of word at all. it's been radio silence for everyone. none of the people who were overworked got any sort of pay, even people who at the end of qsmp 1 quackity stated he'd pay for their work (he promised to pay everyone for their last month of work which was a blatant lie). so yep, everything is still the exact same.

i feel more comfortable going into detail here on tumblr but i am pretty numb at threats and shit from being on the internet for almost 2 decades, but the shit i've read from patitos is genuinely vile. they sent me death and rape threats, but i got off incredibly easy.

other people got voice memos explaining the process in which they wanted to cut out their organs, and that's not even the worst of it. all because we made the mistake of being abused and speaking about it.

supporting qsmp(2) means supporting worker abuse, toxicity, racism, issues with problematic creators, stealing artwork/using gen ai among other questionable things. that is the reality of it. you are free to support it and block me but i won't sugar coat the reality of what's happening because it upsets people. i would hold every other creator and smp to this standard and i've seen the mcyt fandom do so with others and i don't believe in not doing it because i like them or they're popular.

something that has become increasingly obviously is that the people (and by people i mean ccs) glazing quackity and qsmp are just ... men. it's the men who want more opportunities and more money, the ones that are in the project and just looking from the sidelines, and it fucking baffles me that a quick potential paycheck means you play blind to abuse, like i genuinely cannot comprehend that.

idk men uplifting an abuser of queer women and people of marginalised genders (the majority of the former qsmp admin team) who is still actively making money from the unpaid work they did is... so telling.

funny as hell to watch ppl whine about everyone pointing out Q's an abuser in the queue essempi and queue essempi 2 tags. ppl do that in like. Like maybe he’s just busy, but Bad was (and still is!) very close to a lot of the admins/egg actors who were part of the original server. If he’s not involved in this project it means there’s a very good reason for it.
