Far Cry 5: Joseph Seed 3/-

When you think about it, the Seed brothers are complete stereotypes for their birth order.

I knew John was the baby of the bunch within ten seconds of him opening his mouth. He's loud, demanding, used to getting his way, and latched on hard to the 'power of yes' not just because of the abuse he faced but because he hates the word no. He pokes, he prods, does anything and everything he can to get a reaction, good or bad.

Joseph suffers from what I call Middle Child Syndrome. Every middle child I know has always resented being the middle child, and often pursued paths that would lead to positions of authority or importance to make up for being so overlooked as children. Joseph was a quiet, strange child, who observed the world in a way only the most overlooked truly can, because they don't have the same audience as everyone else. Whether he truly was a Prophet of the Voice, or just had a really good sense of pattern recognition and instincts to come to the conclusion of a nuclear apocalypse doesn't matter so much when his true power lies in reading people. He knows exactly what and how to say his message to get it to stick with people. Of course the Peggies fawn over him. I'm sure every new member gets a least some sort of personal touch upon their admittance into Eden's Gate. Very middle child.

Stress and hardship have carved their marks into Jacob's face, but it's more in how he presents himself that gives away his role as eldest brother. The Book of Joseph goes into detail about Jacob's unwavering sense of duty as his brother's protector. He carries himself with confidence and authority, and his time in the army polished those qualities to a fine honed edge. Jacob doesn't really care about the Project himself. But his brothers have poured their hearts and souls into it, and whatever they want, they get. I think it's kind of his way of dealing with his perceived failure to them when they were kids. Whatever is left of his life is theirs
