Everyone give a warm, radiant welcome to Sunflower!
Sunflower is a lamb made just for the god Mors Tua Vita Mea, she’s very sweet and polite, speaking with the soft little voice akin to a chirping bird! She’s awfully hard to forget!
I am sooooo tired of seeing "actually this post is about women not trans men" slapped on to feminist posts and then when that is questioned or challenged, the response is "this is for women specifically because of the societal expectations placed on them."
I'm going to hold your hand as I say this to you. Those same expectations are placed on trans men. Trans men are also expected to be mothers and wives. Trans men also face misogyny and are harmed by it, in the same ways cisgender women are.
It reads like a lot of people think of trans men as Cis Dudes With Pussies when the vast majority of trans men are living (or have lived) many of the same experiences as cis women, and should be included in these conversations.
For example, if the conversation is about how young girls are brought up to believe the must be wives and mothers — many (most, even) trans men grew up with those same expectations! It is equally liberating for young trans men to realize they don't have to be mothers and wives as it is for cis women, with the only difference potentially being an additional gender affirming layer.
also like. in best faith i know that a lot of this reaction comes from people being annoyed at the (perceived) implication that to not want to be a wife or do xyz thing expected of women by patriarchy, means one wants to be a man, the (perceived) assumption that women do naturally want to do those things and the only reason someone would not is because they aren't a woman.
but this is why i need everyone to be more aware of anti-transmasculinity. because this is the foundational presumption cis feminists have been making about trans men & transmascs since they heard of the concept. trans men&mascs, as trans people, have been excluded from feminism since feminism began, and unfortunately that includes the majority of transfeminism as well. it shouldn't be shocking that on a site with a large population of trans people, a lot of trans people relate to posts about misogyny, and a lot of trans people who grew up being classed as girls and women and having those expectations forced onto them are trans men&mascs. and i'm sure a lot of them also do not think that to be a woman is to want to fulfill patriarchal stereotypes, but rather they are desperate to actually have their lived experiences as trans men affected profoundly by the patriarchal role of daughterwifemother to be recognized and verbalized.
"transmasculinity is misogynistic because it implies that women who want to escape misogyny aren't really women" is as old a transphobic feminist argument as "trans women make a mockery of womanhood and contribute to patriarchal stereotypes." a lot of folks on here are far better at spotting versions of the latter than they are the former.
hey party people, I’m here to talk about my experience with transmisandry—
“you can’t call it transmisandry, misandry isn’t real and is an MRA talking point”
ok, my experience with transandrophobia—
“you’re not experiencing oppression for being a man, you’re just experiencing misogyny and transphobia (but you can’t call it transmisogyny, that doesn’t apply to you)”
ok, my experience with isomisogyny—
“you don’t experience misogyny, you’re a man, and you can’t call it your own special brand of misogyny anyways, you don’t have it worse than anyone else”
ok, my experience with anti-transmasculinity—
“transmasculinity is rewarded, as is all expressions of masculinity in this society. You’re transitioning into privilege”
ok, my experience with transandromisia—
“you don’t experience oppression, look at all these stupid words you made up to make yourself feel special you little birthday boy tMRA”
ok, how about we talk about your experience with shutting the fuck up and not taking others talking about their own oppression personally, since clearly you can’t stand hearing about us for even one second.
Median Culture is "man why do I feel like shitttt but also not" then noticing the 'Deeply Suicidal' headmate is here and the 'Whimsical Joyful Critter' headmate is here. Knock it off I'm trying to write shit (the writing shit guy is also here I think).
already tried to make this post once but tumblr deleted the entire thing when I tried to save it as a draft because tumblr is a normal functioning website with absolutely nothing wrong with it <3333
anyway uh. all of the analog crafts I’ve made of the hypercrew characters, as of July 2026!
[[ I’m not sure if I intend on creating any physical crafts as attacks this year, but if you have any interest in attacking me, HERE is my art fight profile, and HERE is the shared page for all of these characters if you find yourself interested in attacking any of them!! :D ]]
Description of the crafts, the characters they depict, and links to said characters’ toyhou.se profiles below!!
• First image, left - The first polymer clay figure we’ve made as an adult!! Just a chibi version of Spit (toyhou.se) that we made in an attempt to gauge our abilities and see how the clay felt to work with! Created July 17th, 2025.
• First image, right - One of the most recent figures! It was intended to be a plush version of Mordecai (toyhou.se), and was inspired specifically by this post. Created June 29th, 2026.
• Second image - A polymer clay figure of Capper (toyhou.se) as a tbh creature, as inspired by this post here. Created December 20, 2025.
• Third image - A polymer clay figure of Helios (toyhou.se) as a potted house plant. This one was just a silly idea we had; I really like how it came out!! Created June 29th, 2026.
• Fourth image - A depiction of Helios’ (linked above) face, constructed out of an upcycled soda can, paper, acrylic paints, and mod podge! Still really love this one; can’t wait to work on some similar projects in the future!! Created December 25, 2025.
• Fifth image - A shrink plastic charm depicting Spit (linked above), drawn similarly to an MS Paint reaction image. Another test, mostly to hammer out how long charms like this need to bake in our oven; turned out really cute!! I wish I had drawn him a bit bigger, as many of the details became difficult to see after baking, but overall I do still think he’s pretty neat <3 Made out of upcycled #6 plastic, a fine-tipped sharpie pen, alcohol markers, and painted over with white acrylic paint on the back to make him easier to see! Created December 28th, 2025.
Our first digital attack piece is still in the works, but as mentioned in our last post, we’re going to AT LEAST attempt to publish one traditional attack a day with whatever materials we have available. This is yesterday’s attack; we only really had pens to work with, but moving forward, our attacks & revenges shouldn’t be quite so rough and general artwork quality should improve :3
This attack was done for AF user Safire4347 !
Here is a link to Bea, the character featured in this piece!
If you are interested in attacking us, the artist of this piece, you can find our profile right here!
i’m going to be really honest with you guys i think the tendency to read the absolute worst possible intentions into every action you don’t agree with is getting too automatic and it’s eating you from the inside out
I made this little guide for the server I run, but I thought I could post it here too. There's a few artfight attack rating rules that people don't exactly know, so- Let's get to them!
1.- Props are literally any held object, regardless of background
A lot of people only use the Props / Scene Elements / Design layout if there is a significant amount of background, but in truth, any held object counts as props! The best example of this is the last image (which is used as an example on site), where the only prop being held is a notebook and a pencil. So, if you've drawn a character holding a weapon on a plain grey background, don't rate that as "No background", that's props baybee!
2.- Minimal shading IS very minimal shading
I've seen a lot of people rate fully shaded pictures as minimal shading because there's no fancy multiple light sources. In truth, a simple shadow under the chin or a gradient laid on top of the character is already minimal shading! They REALLY mean it as minimal
3.- Fully Shaded does not need to be complex
One of the examples in the webpage shows this pretty well! You don't need to do a painterly rendered style for it to count as fully shaded! Again, "minimal shading" is reserved for VERY minimal shading
4.- Animals count as extra instances of the character
If you drew the character holding an animal, the animal itself can be added as an extra instance of the character. Specially for humanoid artists, this can feel weird, but ferals and such count for full points- So if you drew an animal in your attack, even if the main subject is an humanoid, don't miss on your points! That's two whole guys!
5.- Characters not on site ALSO count for points
If you've drawn a character that isn't on site within an attack to a character that IS on site, the extra character can be counted for points by adding the main subject twice. This also goes for canon characters as long as they are modified to some degree, as seen in the second screenshot!
The piece we intended to publish as our first attack for this year’s Art Fight has, unfortunately, been taking much longer than expected, but we did manage to scribble out a quick sketch attack while hanging at the pool and waiting for a fireworks show!!
This piece was drawn for Art Fight user NFish!
Here is a link to Quam, the character featured in this piece!
