Carbine made on Makarov pistol base. One of the workarounds of minimum length Russian restrictive firearms laws. You either can shoot rubber bullets in form of less-lethal pseudo-Makarov. Or ... this. But with real 9x18. Photo courtesy of MPopenker.

АКВ-521 modification of AK rifles. Design by Konstantin Vlasenko
Found this beauty on Reddit tread. Kel-Tec provides very strange but nice guns and I have a huuuge passion towards all SBR with all this fast stingy little fellas.
PCC based on VSS rifle, 9x19 or ‘pseudo-rifled’ 9х22 Altay. Instead of traditional rifling it may have 0-Shaped Lancaster boring, which under Russian firearm laws is classified as shotgun and way less restrictive for ownership. However, government is studying this ‘loophole’ to decide - should they kill it or not.

Another bastard workaround in spite of Russian restrictive laws. You have PSM pistol? (prohibited to civilian ownership in general, but... you know, there’s ways...) But to buy ammo - you need a permit. So, here’s a solution - a carbine based on Nagant revolver. Caliber: 5.45x18. And this is named ‘Shadow-7′.

Another “Shotgun” workaround of Russian firearm restrictions.
