This will be quite long, because I just like talking/ putting my thoughts into words in general.

☆ Username: I am a woman of many names. And after great consideration (my former name here, "Onya" sounds similar to an AoT character and I don't like that.) I've settled for another name I also usually use (also this name is even older lol). Call me Hyph, which is pronounced "Heef". Hyphen is also okay I guess?

☆ Pronouns: she/ her.

☆ Age and education: I'm a legal adult. Formerly majored in Fashion design, but now in Graphic design because I realized I just love sewing and looking at fits that go hard, not designing them. Also I work better with digital art programs, the times I've seen Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is more than that I've seen the sun.

☆ Online status: I barely touch social media in general, really. Scrolling has long been something kinda alien to me; now I just prefer checking on what my favorite people are doing, then leave.

☆ Art: currently trying to get better at traditional art because I feel like I really suck at using any medium that isn't colored pencils. Personifications of all things have always been my strength, have been doing it since forever. Other than that I just love designing characters and having fun with the human anatomy! My biggest weakness are animals...

☆ Graphic design: I've always been fascinated by thoughtful branding, and the use of fonts, elements, etc in creating engagment of the customer/ viewer. Lukewarm take; Corp. Memphis style isn't bad, it's just executed horribly by capitalism. *tearing up looking at Corporate Memphis style* Look how they massacred my boy...

✦ I love travelling, and trains are my favorite means of transport!

✦ Sewing, and embroidering. I also love putting buttons on everthing.

☆ Space, and spacecraft: it's mostly what I post about. Nancy Grace Roman space telescope is my personal blorbo.

✦ I really wish I knew more about physics to dig deeper into this interest. Everytime I want to know more I just hope someone on the internet has already explained the spacecraft/ the universe like I'm 5.

☆ History of fashion/ cosmetics: this is actually a byproduct of me liking graphic design. Branding now doesn't have that classic appeal... Looking at good vintage ads/ packaging of these items naturally made me fall in love with the actual things advertised back then. 70s was hell of an era, and I strive to wear like that whenever I can.

☆ Any considerable fandoms? Honestly I don't know, because I feel like an outsider sometimes due to the lack of engagement. But when I do, these are the ones I like to make content for and would love to make more friends with similar interests:

✦ 17776: peak fiction. I don't really want to say anything more because you just have to experience all of it yourself, blind.

✦ Splatoon: been here since Splat2's DLC release. Live laugh love Marina.

✦ Limbus Company: the only gacha game I sold my soul to. Hold my hand and stare at the sun together if you're a fan of the 5th Sinner.

✦ Team Fortress 2: my favorite batch of idiots. It feels really nice to be in an old community.

✦ Monument Mythos (analog horror series by Eva Casanas): single-handedly made me interested in American culture and history, through a very unorthodox method.

✦ Homestuck/ Hiveswap: made my teenage years about more 70% interesting/ worse at the same time.

Gullah & Early AAVE

Gumbo – From Bantu kingombo (okra), brought by enslaved Africans and became the name of the Creole stew thickened with okra.

Goober – From Kikongo nguba, the Bantu word for peanut that entered American English via enslaved Africans.

Yam – From West African languages (e.g., Wolof nyami, "to eat"), brought over during the slave trade and adopted into Southern cuisine.

Banjo – From a Bantu root (mbanza), the instrument was crafted by enslaved Africans based on West African string instruments.

Bogus – Likely from Hausa boko-boko (deceitful, fraudulent), entering American English through African American speech in the 19th century.

Juke (box/joint) – From Gullah juke (rowdy, disorderly), derived from Wolof dzug (to live wickedly), later attached to roadside bars.

Tote (to carry) – From West African languages (e.g., Kikongo tota, "to pick up"), recorded in Gullah before spreading to mainstream English.

I wanna know more about your human version of "them" so here are asks for the two!

Were there any rumors about them being together? If yes, how will both deal with it?

Is there any point of their relationship that one of them considered that they should actually stop? (Like, bringing the rela. to a stop) Why if yes?

So I saw you tagged them with the "Tch you idiot" (…you know the one) meme, and I wonder if it's actually a uh, plot point, when does it happen? Because I can totally see it make sense either at the beginning when: one of them manipulates the other into believing that they're seen and understood or later when: everything is a shitshow and suddenly one of them realizes that maybe they don't actually want a shitshow to happen between them. I think at one point they've thought "Ohhhh shit I really did/ say that to the other person. Damn." but let's put that aside. YAY YIPPEE These questions are plenty specific I am so happy to ramble about them. Sometimes I don't realize how much lore I haven't shared yet. I really should write it all down somewhere.

They try really hard to keep plausible deniability so rumors didn't really start until later.😋 Chandra is all up in their business while Liem kind of looks the other way. Eddie cares more about keeping up appearances actually. And it would be a really bad look for the chair to be hooking up with the new guy... Jamie dgaf but pretends to be clueless about any rumors.

They are constantly trying to stop and it's NOT WORKING. They are so codependent on each other. I have some ideas of how it could end and they're all angsty.

Yes at some point they do emotionally open up to each other. For all his show Jamie is a really anxious and high strung person that overreacts to everything. And she doesn't really have anyone else to rely on.

Adding onto that: Jamie cries all the time for dramatic effect. But I think the first time he cries in front of Eddie is a really vulnerable moment. And it does show that Eddie actually cares about her underneath the act he puts on.

Eddie’s animosity toward Jamie is mostly fueled by jealousy and is entirely one-sided. Jamie just thinks it's fun to piss him off, he doesn't actually hate him or anything. She is just ragebaiting because getting insulted is new and exciting and no one else has the guts to do it. Actually if Ed were just polite to her from the start they would have zero chemistry. Can you imagine that. BOOOOOORING. That being said, I think after a couple years they get tired of this game and chill out a bit.

At this point I feel they are so far removed from their origins... I am just playing with my touys. My feelings about the actual telescopes are different but it's fun to make characters and play pretend. Thank you for the ask :D

And I still think that’s going to happen. I don’t know when or how, but I do know that abandoning hope won’t help bring it about.
