there are things i do like better about some of the earlier designs but overall I’m happier with the new! sacrifices were made for the sake of style and I like the direction my art is growing 🫡yayyy!

I am in LOVE with these designs omg?? They’re so creative and unique, the colors and shapes are so SO stunning and Glisten’s lil crown and Yatta being THE CENTAUR SHE WAS BORN TO BE and so many of the characters being drain-y and Rodger’s tail and Gigi’s antenna and EVERYTHING about Vee and EVERYBODY’S colors AND AND AND!!!!

That was a lot of “ands” but can you blame? Can you expect to just pick one thing to say?? These are BREATHTAKING.

Just finished this doodle!! These are the more updated ideas/designs for these two. Kinda wish I made the Lineart brown but oh well!!

Anyway I love these critters… I wanna draw Wiltedbloom at some point, but I do really like how she came out in the concept doodle page despite the other two looking completely ridiculous.

When I say that Myrtlepaw “remembers being dirt paw vividly” I imagine that’s less of her just having strong memories from her past life and more so basically just losing none of her memories or anything when being reincarnated if that makes any sense at all. She remembers her life as Dirtpaw like it was yesterday- she remembers being forgotten about an almost (almost) comical amount, and it affects much of her mindset now as little miss Myrtle. I imagine this ranges from her being surprised when others remember her/things about her/etc. but also being somewhat attention seeking from time to time.

Wiltedbloom I haven’t put as much thought into, but essentially she believed a very generic, boring life, but regret it after she died, wishing she’d done something more memorable. These feelings came to a jealous head when some “random kit” was given the gift or reincarnation to live a more memorable life, only for wiltedbloom to be denied of this. Unable to accept that she has lived a full, good life- but a simple, unexciting one, and CHOSE to live that way, so she harasses poor Myrtlepaw over it.

Sorry that was long, Rambley, and probably hard to understand lmao… I just had to ramble about these critters. I love them so so much…

I love these so so much genuinely. I love it when Pokémon and treated like regular animals it’s my favorite thing ever. Because in the world of Pokémon… they ARE regular animals. Basically. Like not regular as in Havung not special abilities.. regular as in.. they’re the only animals they have.

I’d love to see more of these they’re phenomena and bring me much joy.

I’m not gonna say what is/isn’t correct about her lore yet but I am LOVING this direction!!

My mom suggested the names Chara (which, Yes, got quite the reaction from me.. as I grew up with Undertale.) and Yara!

Chara, apparently, means Joy, but can also mean darling, beloved, dear and loved one. Not what I expected from this name but it’s INCREDIBLY tempting actually!! I like it a lot.

And Yara means Small butterfly primarily, but also means: Water lady, Lady of the lake, Friend, strong! I like this one but the water related meanings kinda lose it for me… even if the butterfly one is nearly perfect. I kinda lean towards butterfly symbolism a lil too much with my characters.

Chara is certainly in the lead, as funny as that is!

Just for sillies, I decided to throw together a Pokémon team for her!!!

I’m sure I’ll change it someday, but for now I’m satisfied with it! Hopefully this tells y’all a little about her without actually tellin’ y’all anything! Some of the choices were more based on aesthetic and personality, meanwhile other choices were more practical.

I did also go with the name Chara, at least for now. But knowing me.. the name I pick as a placeholder will end up being permanent I fear..

I’ve got lost more doodles I wanna make of this gal!! Especially of her as a little kid!! Maybe with her dad’s.

I do gotta figure out other kids who exist in this story….
