Even goddesses have their bad days. Columbina can't seem to remember the last time she's been able to feel content, even in the few places she considers a brief escape from reality. There is a dull ache in the dove's chest, like the weight of a boulder sitting heavily on her.

"Ah.." Castorice's gentle voice pulls Columbina out of her head, like a butterfly to a flower, she finds all of the weight being lifted off her by careful hands - it has always been this way, has it not? Someone to reach out to her, someone to rely on.

A deep sigh escapes past her lips. "... Thank you, Castorice." Columbina mumbles, letting the soothing presence of the butterfly ease her into a peaceful slumber.

Everything that Eros has found in his exploration has been… incredible. The little creatures are cute, the water seems so calm. Everything is so different from home. It's gorgeous, too. Everything is just as much of an adventure, it seems, as their walks through any other region. Enough to be - admittedly a bit distracting. Which, perhaps, is the reason that the small sovereign nearly runs into another. Stopping only just in time as they notice the person, tail wagging absently.

“ Ohh… you're – pretty like the statues, mhm. ”

The maiden was not anticipating running into someone today, briefly startled by the stranger before forcing her nerves to calm. "Ah.." She tilts her head, one could almost see the loading bar above her head as she processes the encounter.

"Thank you." She offers them a polite smile, the wings of her headpiece fluttering in the breeze. "Perhaps.. are you alone? Would you like to join me on a walk?"

Nowadays, the Ratnik did not mind letting colleagues & friends alike, do as they so please.

"I've gathered quite the collection, some of these were brought to me by others, though." Columbina hums. Some of the children from Nasha Town have gotten the courage to approach the moon maiden, offering shiny trinkets or beautiful accessories, and who is she to reject such a kind gift?

Her own hair, spread out like a veil behind her, not a single strand is out of place. Soft to the touch, a vibrant pink peeks out under the dark. "Which do you think we should use, then?"

A question less directed at Flins but rather Luonnotar, who tilts her head at the two hair clips Columbina holds up. She lets out a soft chime, and the maiden nods in agreement. "Yes, this one would be perfect."

⠀⠀──── ✶ ❛ i said i would handle it . ❜ the sharpness in his voice isn't made duller for her sake, even when all Columbina had done was look out for him . he didn't like to be treated like he was fragile, even if all signs pointed to him being exactly that . excessive gestures of worry just drove the spikes deeper . made the snags rip harder when attempting to pull them out .

"... Is this what you call handling it?" Columbina's voice does not waver despite Anaxa's sharpness. She is used to it - too used to it, attitudes like this. That stubborn, irritating attitude where worry and care are seen as an insult.

Should this have happened long ago, Columbina would have turned around and left. She doesn't have the energy to give up to those who reject her care, and yet - she remains in place. "You need to rest, even for a bit. Nothing will change nor end if you take a moment to breathe."

Will these words fall on deaf ears? She's not sure. If it were anyone else, they would likely take it into consideration - but Anaxa is not 'anyone else'. Columbina hates to be so serious, but even doves will scratch and claw when provoked.
