Abyssal Dragon (AU for Kinich)
This verse strays greatly from Kinich and certain things from the main timeline has been removed, such as Ajaw, that there is likely another bearer for the name Malipo and he has no Vision, just a different type of device that let him use Dendro, in a similar vein to how Eremites can use an Element.
The only things that remains, in present time is that he got an house. Although he has no affiliation to the Scions but takes work from them and Nicte exist still.
This AU can be played in the far past, back around the Cataclysm that destroyed Khaenriah or even before the events where Traveler MC start their adventures. But it can be used throughout Natlan Storyline.
I am starting this muse has being trapped in the depths of the Abyss, to be freed by either Abyss MC.
Given the lack of this faceclaim for icons, they may be repeated or i will often post without an icon.
While he fell & was imprisoned during the fall of Khaenriah, he has no ties to this nation of old. He simply got caught up in this mess, indirectly and fought back in self defense even if the opposition did not see that way.
Nahvithaam (translate; fury serpent serve) is the default name, up until not only being given an human guise but a latter name, in this case; Kinich, from the Abyss Twin (either goes, may default more to Aether though)
Although grateful of being freed from depths of the Void Realm, he is not closely serving the Abyss Order or anyone from there. If there is no work for him to do on the Twin's behalf, he just goes about his business in Teyvat.
He may not be the one wielding Malipo or have any ties to Natlan but that did not stop Nahvithaam from helping against the crisis this nation faced. Not because the Abyss attacked but more that it showed him that Celestia just don't care about the people, which he obviously loath.
That he is an abyssal dragon in disguise, is not known by anyone, other than this Nation's Archon & the ancient dragons living there with the humans. All the people do know is that a dragon aided them, amidst those already coexisting there, so they think no different of it.
He may come from the Abyss and is likely older than what happened 500 years ago but after being freed, he just decided to go out and pick a life for himself.
Ajaw, as stated prior, is not present in this verse, only Nicte does.
Nothing from Kinich Canon or my general characterization really stands, by that i mean the usual friendships and all. The Natlan cast are pretty much strangers to him.
This verse can be used for Abyss Twin threads and Traveler version as well.
Though he does not possess a Vision, Nahvithaam/Kinich can use the usual Dendro skills & more.
Independent as he is from the Abyss and whatever goes on down there, he still can take orders from the non-traveling twin.
How he uses Dendro, the device in question, once brought up above this post, is the wrist accessory that is used in Canon, the skill that enables him to grapple and move around.
While he may be emitting abyssal energy, on a very lowkey way, certain people can pick up on it but normal people and even wildlife does not seem to know better. However the truth goes a little more than oblivious creatures in the wilds. In spite of being from the Void Realm, Nahvithaam stands on the neutral alignment spectrum and is not inherently evil.
More than that, specifically to Saurians or any dragon-like entities, while they can recognize each others, he does not come off as threat, even if so, its better for them to steer clear from the abyssal behemoth underneath that fashioned disguise to blend with surface dwellers. Beside, he's not really at odds with the creatures roaming Natlan.
In the concern of the game's protags, either really, Kinich, in this verse is more or less a tentative ally and casual friend with the traveling twin. Whereas, his affiliation with the Abyss Twin is just a thing of respect and taking orders once and a while. There is nothing of further to be involved. Its Allyship on both front basically.
In light of a decision taken, i have Hc-ed Nahvithaam to be the Electro Sovereign, that is not only pretending to still be sealed under the Sakura roots on Inazuma but left behind a fragment to feign escape after being freed by the Abyss twin.
Though he has no quarrel with the humans, if he must, this behemoth will be ruthless. Especially to what threatens his followers/students, etc.
Meanwhile, he harbors incessant hatred to the Gods idling away in Celestia. The Archons do not apply but the Shades does. Most of all, Nahvithaam's hatred is very much visible towards Ronova than the other ones.
Rather than meet demise during the War waged to the Heavenly Principles, he capitulated eventually but chose to delve into the deeper reaches of the Abyss along with some of his brethren/underlings.
The sight of this dragon wandering Khaenriah's sky or terrains was of no secret to the people, even the most reclusive knew him by name at the very least.
