Greetings, newcomer! My name is Quill, and this is my tumblr shitpost blog. I usually post new, Breath of the Wild related shit posts on here from Monday to Friday, and usually people enjoy them. Hopefully, you will too. But please be warned, the themes of these posts may include topics such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and emotional abuse.
You may have heard from others that this blog is not a shitpost blog. You may have heard from others that this blog contains a deeper story and lore. You may have heard from others to not trust me, that the blog owner's real identity is not even Quill. You may have even heard that this blog is not funny--Well, that part is correct. But the rest, I cannot confirm.
If you really want to find an answer, I suppose you'll just have to update yourself. But for now: Enjoy the show.

Advice for newcomers:
If you are new, consider clicking the linked Masterlist at the top (It's in bold, bright, red. You can't miss it) and read through all the posts from bottom to top. The bottom containing the early beginning posts, with Arc 1, and the top containing the latest posts, and one day eventually, the very last post of this blog.
Consider blocking the #hku spoilers tag. This way, if I post a new update with information you are not yet ready for, or caught up for yet, you are not spoiled. The Masterlist is always there for you to read through at your own pace.
That said, I would recommend reading through the entire blog with tumblr pages. The number of blog pages is listed at the top of the masterlist google doc. I personally think reading through pages is the best way to get the whole HKU experience, as you get my, and fans, fun input in between--but of course, the experience you cultivate is ultimately in your hands.
Feel free to send me asks if you have any questions!
Other Links:
Discord - Fanmade and run. I will not confirm or deny whether I, myself, am on it.
Out of Character Masterlist - Logs my out of character posts, that is, posts that are not part of the HKU story. (Not that there is a story, of course)
Fancontent Masterlist - Logs fancontent made for HKU, ranging from memes, to art, to fics, to theories, to ocs, and much more.
@hyrule-kingdom-fortunes - My "prequel" blog. It is definitely a prequel. It is not anything other than a prequel. You do not necessarily need to read HKU to understand HKF, but it would be more fun if you did. The blog serves as a fun prequel for HKU. It is fun, and it is a prequel. Follow that blog for the prequel content, as it is a prequel.
Character Tagging:
The order of character tags pertains to the order in which characters speak. For example, if you saw this post:
Hello there, friend! This is my normal speaking voice!
How do ya do, chum! I am saying words to you!
#Champion Link #Princess Zelda
The tags for that post would chronologically name the characters, in case you are not yet familiar with their colors. Therefore in this example, since the character tag for Champion Link came first, the first speaker is Link. Then the second tag is Princess Zelda, so the second blue speaker is her. This pattern continues even if there are more than two characters.

can you at least tell us how it was going to end?????????
Do you really want that answer? I mean, truly, do we want to risk the nostalgia over something as silly as an ending?
(No but in truth, I could give this an answer but I fear it would be quite incoherent to articulate over the course of only one ask... If I was going to really lay it out in deserved detail I think I'd be better off posting on Ao3 haha)
hi! just wondering whether hku will ever come back <3
Short answer: probably not in this form
Long answer: I'm producing a play that utilizes some of these original characters and if anyone in the NYC area wants to do a table read feel free to dm me <3
I currently have a 130+ page 3 act play called SERENITY loosely based on HKF with medieval/Shakespearean elements, and a one act 40pg monologue called ARCADIUS which I'm in the process of modernizing from a period piece.
It was a real privilege to be able to share my little blorbos on here and have people be receptive to them! It was a domino that ultimately led to me graduating with honors in Creative Writing, with a screenwriting and playwriting specialization. I would never have been able to discover and pursue this passion without community spaces like these to experiment and practice a love of dialogue. There is a certain (if slightly embarrassing) joy in being able to look back upon my old work like this blog and be able to see just how far I've come. I'm only sorry I could not return the favor to you all by providing a completed work.
The ending, characters, and details are all still in my mind somewhere if anyone cares to pick my brain, but I'm afraid I'm beyond the means to return this blog to its usual story format. But if you enjoyed it, consider seeing a play! And I don't just mean Broadway. It is a surprisingly similar and experimental format
Wait omfg I just reread for the millionth time and I can’t believe I just realize the parallels between Elane’s death and her damning the rest of the Hyrule so Mallory would live and Larc lying about the master sword and trying to protect his son at the expense of the kingdom. How the hell did I not put two and two together I am UNWELL now.
My toxic trait is putting parents sacrificing everything in order to save their children in all of my fiction. Something something the greatest threats to the kingdom are born out of a single injustice and saving the world will always come at a cost to someone and what if that someone wasn't just a weird demonized villain but someone in a position that is typically viewed in a honorable and heroic light
Have you played any TOTK so far or have any thoughts? I was definitely having some HKU brainworms while playing and was curious to see if you have any.
I have positive thoughts about the worldbuilding and less positive thoughts about the lore. I am a big nerd for politics and tracking the changes in societal cultures (if. that wasn't apparent already given what occurs lol) so all the development with the Zonai research teams and the investigators for the depths and the military groups organized to take down monsters every blood moon which I SWEAR Nintendo stole directly from my brain--it all itches a scratch.
On the other hand [ I have not finished the game yet ] the implications about timeloops and secret stones and ancient sages that don't even have names is really messing with me. Gonna be honest, and I apologize to women beforehand but Zelda is much less of a girlboss than I expected. Maybe I just had high expectations since she varies in fandom but. This Zonai time stuff is shaping to be just a convuluted excuse to trap her in a crystal again, imo.
Anyhow, I'll really just be lifting the stuff I like in totk and ignoring everything else because I'll be DAMNED if I let my Misko be associated with those ugly ass mushrooms.
Not yet, I've just been busy scratching serial numbers off some things. Oddly enough been more swamped with work and projects over the summer compared to when I was in class :p
Current project should be finished (on its way?) end of August or beginning of September and when you'll know you'll know
This isn't totk spolers because it's just the koroks but you can attach them to wooden poles. you can crucify them. you can crucify the koroks if nothing else from your beautiful story is canon then hesus korok being crucify on the cross is. G-d Hesus bless.
(Wait if Hesus is Jesus, is the Great Deku Tree G-d??)
The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit (Great Deku Tree, Hestu, and the Weed required to make one high enough to follow said religion

Please revise the manuscript with the noted redactions. Storyhouse is very specific on what it wants. If you send this now as is, you’re just asking to get imprisoned. Please redact the rest. I know it’s direct from the Archives, but still, it’s really not appropriate.
— Excerpt of an Encyclopedic manuscript recording all known heroes within Hyrule over the last three centuries. Dated 18 years before The Calamity. Attached with letters to Hyrule Royal Storyhouse publishing company. Never published.
