Cannibalism as a form of love?
Hm! This is a question that really fascinates me, mainly because of the fact that traditionally you'd see them as opposites. Now, this is a common point made, but I really enjoy to dissect it.
Personally, to consume someone whole might sound wrong, even inhumane. But to see it as a labour of love is a perception that's been rising more in recent years; and one that I've always supported!
To love someone so intensely you want every part of them to be yours, even their physical body... it's something I would love to experience. Of course, that's only in theory.. but I've thought about it in practice a couple of times.
I'm not really talking full-gone cannibalism, as in the traditionalist method of killing and consuming. To wear a bite mark like a badge of pride is something not really explored, but something that I do enjoy the idea of. I wouldn't mind such a thing.
In short, I really enjoy that sort of idea, especially as a horror writer. It allows me wonderful juxtaposition within my novels!
Thanks for asking this question!
