A fistful of glory, a suitcase of sin the rain which you dream in when you count to ten. you go to the edge and you always give in on your first flash of freedom. #4047-Son hyunwoo; 24
Life after the MGA’s was a blur. Though his journey in the competition wasnt't a long one he definetly felt it's impact on his life. Anywhere he went the weeks follwing his elimination he would find at least one person who recognized him from tv. Too other people being recognize would be a honor, but for him it was nothing more than a reminder of his failure on a national scale.
He thought that his life would go back to normal after the competition but between people asking if he was alright and the sympathetic looks he recieved from those around him he couldn't stand even being in the same room with other people. If he had to hear that he was eliminated unjustly one more time, he would lose his mind.
As much as he hated to admitt it, his elimination was fair. He was a wall flower in the competition and though he made it through the first round he never expected to make it all the way until the end. Performing wasn't something that was meant for him to do. He was nothing more than a blue collar guy who stepped too far outside of his comfort zone which caused his gradious ideas and his ego to be crushed.
Adjusting to a life outside of the camera and the judging eyes of the public was all together easier than he thought it would be and he found that getting back into his daily routine was quite simple. During the day he would spen his time in fr the gym working out and helping his students , both young and old , develop their boxing skills . He did'nt have time to socalize or ponder about what could have been. He just needed to get his life back to the way it was.
-FACE SWAP: Kim Wonshik’s faceclaim has been changed to Son Hyunwoo (MX)!
Long time no see my friends, it is I your friendly neighborhood face swapper coming to you live to let you know that Wonshik has undergone full facial reconstruction and is now known as Hyunwoo. Not really, but I have changed his face. I know this is the 2nd face for this muse and I figured I’d add some humor because these notices from me are annoying. Thanx for being patient with me while I figure this muse out ^^; and hopefully this is the last change.
Hi everyone, just stopping in to let you all know I’m putting Wonshik on a hiatus for a little bit. I’ve been struggling with balancing work and the mga’s (which was surprisingly difficult) and I think I need a mental break. I’ve also been struggling with this muse in general and I think I might need to step away from him for a while. Also to everyone who made it to the fourth episode of the MGA’s I applaud you and your muses! Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to see who wins when I get back. Until I see you all again have a great time.
Also special shout out to Team Dream.e for being super awesome this week, and I may be biased, but I hope you guys make it till the end.
The third episode is over and unfortunatly I didn’t make the cut. Thank you to everyone who supported me. Make sure to keep an eye out for the rest of Team E and show them all your love and support.
[CJ E&M // #4047 - Kim Wonshik] 2011 Classics : Team Round
Episode; 3 // Outfit; X // Line Distribution X // Song and Adlibs (3:09-3:15)
It’s clear to Wonshik after meeting the members of Team E that he’s the weakest link in the chain. He’s floating somewhere in the gray area of the average and the mediocre. It was no surprise though, after all, he was in a group of individuals with real talent. Two amazing rappers, an extremely talented singer, and one of the best dancers he had ever seen - and then there was him, just a guy who had lucked out and somehow made it to the third episode.
He knows where he stands in the competition as a whole. After all a quick search of his name bring up nothing relating to the MGAs. Just a few articles here and there about past boxing matches and one result about a Wonshik in Jeju who won seven million won in the lottery. As nice as that all was, it wasn't nearly helpful giving the situation. He had no fans, no comments, not even any antis bashing his appearance or skills. He was just another contestant floating under the radar, waiting for his turn to be eliminated.
Despite his dismay, Wonshik was not one to give up. He decides to make the most of his time in the competition and give it his all no matter what. Starting when the members of team E meet up for the first time.
Their first meeting happens on Friday after the initial episode. All five of them huddled in a tight circle in the middle of the TRC practice room. He remembers each of their performances, a testament to how talented each of them was, and as they go around an introduce themselves. He thinks that they could really get along well with each other. They spend the rest of the evening getting to know each other and trying to figure out how to make their different personalities mesh.
Saturday is their first day of official practice. The team doesn't spend too much time choosing a song. Officially setting on Block B's 2011 single 'Tell Them' an upbeat hip-hop and rap heavy song that Wonshik believes would be perfect to catch the attention of the crowd and the judges. With the group comprised of mainly dancers and rappers, it was an easy choice to make to show off their best talents.
From there they begin to divide up the parts. Minho and Mingyu get the majority of the rap parts. A fair choice seeing as how they were the two strongest rappers in the team. Hyunjung is, of course, chosen as the main vocalist, possessing the best voice in the group. With Yoojung following next she is the obvious choice for the main dancer position and talented enough to handle some of the rap parts, and then there was Wonshik.
He was in a peculiar position in the team. He had shown that he was a decent dancer from his initial audition, but in comparison to Yoojung, he was extremely lacking. He could rap, but they already had two great rappers with experience and better skills than him. The only position left was to be the supporting vocalist to Hyunjung, and singing was not something that he did often. he's nervous that it's the wrong choice that he's going to fuck everything up but the roles are decided and the parts are divided up. The rest of Saturday is spent practicing and rehearsing their respective parts.
Sunday was a day dedicated to Choreography much to his relief. Dancing was something he was comfortable with, something that he enjoyed and a whole day spent doing something he loved was heaven in his book. The hours were long, and he'd be lying if he said he didn't sweat through a shirt or two, but they were also rewarding. Moving to the music and being able to input his thoughts on what moves to do an which to omit was his favorite part of the competition so far.
On Monday they begin their full rehearsal with vocals and choreography and choose their leader and though he was the oldest Hyunjung was the obvious choice for the role. She was smart and efficient, and she leads the team with both compassion and smarts. She was also open to opposing input which he was more than happy to provide.
it's much the same the next few days of practice. With vocals and Chorography being the focus and by the end of the week they had created one cohesive team.
Friday comes far too fast for the male's liking. It felt like only yesterday the five members of team E were huddled together in a practice room trying to figure out each other's strengths and choose parts. Now they were headed for the big stage. They had to appeal to the judges, and an anonymous audience, as to why they should stay in the competition and the thought was nerve wracking, but he believes they’re ready. Or as they could be. They had spent every waking minute in the practice room adhering to a strict schedule, and if they can't rock the house with all the practice, they had gotten in the last week they never would.
As the group huddles around each other backstage, the fact that he had made it past the second episode really settles in on him. He had it all set in his mind that he would be going home, but here he was standing next to 4 people who were prepared to go out on that stage and give it all they had. He was determined to do the same. He would not be the weak link.
When their turn arrives Hyunjung huddles the group together for one last pep talk. He had never been one for sappy words, but right there at that moment, those words were exactly what he needed to hear. A smile crosses his face as he adds his hands into the middle pile on top of his groupmates and the simultaneous battle cry of their team name gave him the surge of energy that he needed.
As the Quintet walks out on the stage, Wonshik can feel his heart beating in triple time. He's nervous. but a glance at the rest of Team dream.e fills him with determination for whats to come. They were here and all they had to do was perform. The rest was out of their hands.
"Yo, do you want to dream? We are dream.e." He follows along with his members placing his palms together and tucking them between his cheek and shoulder to symbolize sleep. He grins as the members begin their introductions and as his turn comes he takes a step forward. "Hello, I'm the resident one punch man of dream.e Kim Wonshik" He shows off a few punches, putting as much power into them as he could, before taking a step back and letting the remaining members introduce themselves.
With their greeting over the members take their spots on the stage, and for a moment everything is hushed. Then the music starts. In an instant, the whole team turns around in tandem and starts dancing. Wonshik is all smiles as he dances to beat.
His parts are few, and for that he's thankful. He didn't have to worry too much about making a mistake since his early parts rarely lasted longer than a few beats and they were more or less the same line repeated. It was the last verse that he was the most worried about. He had never ad-libbed before this week and to have to do it while their best singer was singing the climax to the song was a lot of pressure. He had to make sure he sounded good while also making sure not to drown her out or throw her off. Easier said than done.
As his first part comes, Wonshik steps forward, winking at the Mingyu, as he takes the center spot from the younger male. He inhales and begins to sing his section, his eyes locking with the crowd.
Hey 거기서뭐해
그만숨어 man 정말 어쩔래 (어 어 어)
As his part comes to an end, he moves out of the way to make space for Minho in the center, reclaiming his spot in the back as he picks up the dance where it left off. The song continues and as each of his parts begins he sings each of them with everything he has. He knows this may be the last time he steps foot on the stage and he’s determined to leave his mark
He barely realizes the song is coming to an end until two verses before the finale and a verse away from his ad-libs. he braced himself as the song moved forward. singing his small part once again.
Hey 거기서뭐해
그만숨어 man 정말 어쩔래 (어 어 어)
He watches as Hyunjung takes her spot in the center and as she begins to sing he starts his ad-libs. He moves the mic up to his lips and places his index finger in his ear to keep the right note. He’s surprised by how good he sounds, for not being much of a singer. His voice is stable and he has to admit that his voice and Hyunjung’s sound pretty great together.
He’s in the groove of the song as he sings the finale. His voice is strong and confident and his moves crispe. this was the last thing the crowd would see before the next team entered and he was determined to make it memorable.
가서 전해 모습을 버리고
Your body jumping 꾸물거리지 말라고 (
가서 전해 한번 부딪혀보자고
You're jumping jumping
Asthe song ends, they strike the last poses , and the Dream.e team walk off the stage, Wonshik stands in stunned silence. The performance had gone so much better than he had expected. They were a well-oiled machine and worked effortlessly together. Each person contributing their all. He smiles as the team rushes into a group hug and he's happy that he's had the oppurtunity to spend this last week with these 4 extremly talented people.
He'd like to think they're all going to survive the next episode. That maybe there were no weak links in the chain after all. That maybe they could all keep going to the finals. That they had what it took to steal thet number one spot. But ultimatly that was left in the hands of the judges. All he had now at that moment were these four people and the sound of applause ringing in his ear.
as an extrovert, seola thrives off of human interaction, so it’s a no brainer that she’s living for this group episode and being able to work with other musicians who share the same amount of passion for their own work as she does for hers. she’s excited to get to know each person, and since there’s only one other vocalist on the team, she decides he’s the best place to start. she approaches him, pages of notes on the song and sheet music gathered in her hands. they’ve already all agreed on the way they’d divide all the lines, and would begin practicing together soon. for now, though, she figures she should get to know his style, especially since he’d only seen him rap during his panel audition.
“hey!” she greets, smile wide on her face. “want to get some warm-ups done?”
To be truthful Wonshik never expected to make it past the panel round of the MGA’s. He had entered the competition on what could only be considered a bribe and yet here he was moving on to the third episode. The whole thing seemed ridiculous as if the universe had decided to play some sick little joke on him. Building him up now only to bring him crashing down later when he least expects it.
He has hope though, and that's in the leadership of Seola. Being a team player was a foreign feeling to him and as much as his inner lone wolf makes him want to rebel, she had been an anchor to him. keeping him grounded when he needed it the most.
He doesn't hear her when she approaches, and he's in the middle of self-pity while being huddled in one of the vacant corners of the practice room, notepad and sheet music grasped tightly in his hand and his head resting on his knees. He looks up at the sound of her voice, and a wave of relief washes over him at her suggestion to warm up, and he offers her a wary smile in response.
"I'd love that actually," he says as he lifts himself off of the cool floor, " I think I've had enough of my own thoughts for the moment. Any distraction would be a welcome relief, plus I could really use the practice.”
He first sees her during the panel round, and though age had changed her a bit that smile was unforgettable. Kim Yongsun, a name he would never forget. She was the first friend he had made when he moved to Seoul from Japan and his rock as he tried to settle in. He’s never had an easy time making friends, and the culture shift when he arrived in the foreign place did not make the deed any easier. Adjusting to Korea and trying to find his own place in the unfamiliar word seemed so daunting at the until she showed up and made things so much better, and so much brighter. He hadn't realized how much he missed her until that moment.
As the second episode comes to an end and the surviving contestants file off of the stage, Wonshik hangs back from the crowd trying to catch a glimpse of her in the mass of people. He knows the timing is unfortunate, but he wants to catch up with her and hopefully pick up their friendship where they left off. He finally gives up trying to spot her choosing to call out her name instead. Hoping that she could hear him over the crowd of people.
The good thing about living in a practice room for almost 120 hours with 4 perfect strangers is that it pretty much forces you to get close with one another. Lucilky for him Team E as a whole was pretty easy to get along with. The members were easy to get along with and though they all met less than a week ago, he could see them possibly being friends after all of this was over. He’s had a moment to spend with most of the other members but somehow one of the youngest of the group, Mingyu, had slipped under the radar.
He waits for a break between their rigorous practice schedule to pull the male away from the others. Hoping for an opportunity to chat and see how he was holding up.
“Mingyu!” He calls out to the male from his seated spot across the room“come over here for a second. I want to talk to you”.
Since Wonshik is involved with the MGA's I would love to plot with any other muse that is a contestant Give me plots or give me death. I'm a sucker for angsty plots and if any muse is looking for a rival or wants to be in volved with on air beef Wonshik is your guy.If you would rather have a random starter smash that like button and I'll post one for you before this weekend.
To all the people who liked my starter call before, I haven't forgotton about you and i'll have yor starter this weekend as well.
With the second episode of the MGA’s over ya boy has lived to see another day. Make sure to keep an eye out on Team E. We’re going to blow your collective minds.
[CJ E&M // #4047 - Kim Wonshik] Panel Round.
Episode; 2 // Outfit; X // Skill; Rapping [0:50-1:50]
When it comes to competitions, Wonshik isn't one to mingle with "the enemy." He prefers to stay to himself and keep his head down to focus on whats really important. Winning. Which is why it comes to no surprise that he doesn't interact much with the other contestants once he arrives at the CJ E&M building. He enters with his arms folded tightly across his torso and earbuds planted firmly in his ears to drown out all surrounding noise. It was a habit he picked up from his years of semi-professional boxing, and it helps to center him. Not to mention it allows him to avoid the need for awkward small talk. Something he had always hated.
After a few minutes to himself, Wonshik heads to the stage to locate his spot around the small circular stage. The small platform was surrounded on each side with rows of chairs for the participant. Even numbers on one side and odds on the other. It takes him a few moments to find his own spot, but once he does he steals the opportunity to surveys, the contestants surprised first by how young many of the contestants were, and second by how many males there were. He was at a clear disadvantage regarding both age and skill. As one of the eldest male contestants in a sea of youngsters, he knew that age was a huge factor in everything. If you turned on any tv to Musicbank or Mcountdown what did you see on the screen? Nothing more than a bunch of young teenyboppers dancing around stage in obnoxious outfits and making cute faces at the camera. The last thing anyone wanted to see was Wonshik making questionably 'cute' gestures at the camera while dancing around.
There are precisely two benefits that Wonshik can think would come from being one of the last people to perform. The first one is the fact that it gives him time to watch those around him to see how he stacks up and if the first round of auditions were anything to gauge skill level off of the competition would be stiff. The second benefit he could think of was getting the chance to calm his nerves, but as odd as it was he wasn't nervous. Ever since his initial audition, he's felt a strange sense of calmness. In general, he was never the type to get too shaken up when it came to performing in front of people, after all getting punched in the face on a weekly basis had a way of knocking those nerves out of you very quickly. However, even to him, a self-proclaimed level-headed individual, this calmness spanning a week was abnormal.
The week following his first audition was a mixed bag of feelings. On the one hand, he was furious at his roommate Jaeyoon for coercing him to audition for the show when being an idol was the farthest thing from his mind. While on the other hand, he was curious what would come of his audition. He didn't spend much thinking about the latter and instead threw himself back into his daily schedules to keep his mind off of things. Working out in the gym, volunteering, and preparing for his students for matches that were up and coming. He distracted himself so well in fact that he forgot about the auditions and completely missed the airing of the first episode of the show. Not realizing that he had passed the first round and that Jaeyoon hadn't, until almost a full day after it had aired. Thanks in part to the flood of texts from friends who saw him on TV and the influx of new Instagram followers.
But with the positive, there will always be negative. After the announcement of the MGA casting things in the apartment took a tense turn. The tiny two bedroom apartment was electric with Jaeyoon's negative energy and as the week leading up the first live show wound down the two males were practically at each other's throat. It wasn't hard for Wonshik to understand Jaeyoon's feeling though. Jaeyoon had just auditioned for what should have been his big break and yet his roommate, a guy who didn't even want to attend in the first place and complained all the way home, had just come in and stole his dream in one fell swoop. It was no surprise that he was livid, but it wasn't his fault that Jaeyoon hadn't made the cut and he refused to feel guilty for someone else not making the cut.
With that situation buzzing around his mind Wonshik knew that all of those negative emotions had to be put aside to focus on the task at hand. It was apparent just by looking at the people sitting in these adjacent chairs that they are not here to play around. This was their dream, and here he was - an outlier- taking up a spot that some other idol "wannabe" would kill to have. As the performances began, he knew now more than ever he had to get his head in the game. He still wasn't sure if being an idol was something of interest to him, or if it was just the sheer curiosity of seeing how far he could go in the competition that made him show up to the filming. What he did know was that he was here now and he at least owed it to himself to take the situation seriously and to put on a good show.
When Wonshik heard that contestants had to perform a 90-second performance for the first episode, His first thought was to dance. He had danced for his audition, and that had turned out pretty decently so why not stick to something he knew. It was also the one skill that Wonshik had the most confidence in, and it didn't hurt that there was a friend who could help him choreograph a routine for the show. This all changed though when searching the MGA official website and he saw exactly how many contestants listed dancing as their main skill. It didn't take long to change his mind and choose to rap for the first episode instead. A long shot to say the least but in his mind, he had a better chance to stand out from the crowd in a pool that was less saturated.
Wonshik was no stranger to rapping. He had lent his vocals to a few close friend's Mixtapes and enjoyed the occasional rap song, but ultimately he was a 'familiar stranger to the skill. The week leading up the first episode was an odd one. The struggled to find a song that was easy to learn, would show off his skills, and also fit into the 90-second time frame was his real burden. A task that was easier said than done, until he ultimately settles on a freestyle rap by Flowsik. What follows, is a week of memorizing lyrics and practicing his performance in front of a mirror all in preparation for D-day.
As the performances trudged on the male's expression turned darker until his arms were once again crossed tight in front of his chest. He had been seated restlessly for close to an hour and a half waiting for his turn to finally come. Boredom had crept its way upon him, and a very audible yawn slips out. As each subsequent performance blended into the next Wonshik got more and more restless. Shifting in his chair and tapping his foot impatiently during a couple of acts as he awaited his turn.
His turn finally arrives, just as he’s close to dozing off, and the brunette stands and stretches before making his way to the middle of the stage. He eyes all five of the judges with a subdued interest before stepping forward greeting them with a bow. Hoping his voice didn't betray his sluggishness.
"Hello, My name is Kim Wonshik. I'm twenty-four years old, and I'll be rapping for you today. I hope you enjoy my performance."
He takes a step back and gets into position. His legs shoulder width apart, head down, and his hands clasped firmly in front of him. He waits for the music to cut in, a hushed silence covering the stage, and finally the beat drops.
자 삽들어 삽, 삽
땅 파 32년산 산삼 캐
걍 대충해도 상대방 멘붕, Crush you with 산사태 yah
배고픈 사냥개, 물고 다 씹어 These 껌종이 Wrappers
난 폐품을 걸러, 널 백리터 종량제 봉투에 담어,
Hook 재활용하는 You 쓰레기 Rappers
His rapping is slow but steady. With him preferring to get the word across rather than show flourish. Making an impression isn’t only defined by pulling out all of the stops, sometimes it’s the understated performances that draw attention. Being able to Emanate real confidence and charisma while leaving them wanting more was a talent itself and he hopes the judges would appreciate his approach. The male takes a few steps across the stage to get closer to the judges as the song descends into the second bar of his rap making sure to make eye contact with each judge.
You sound like an 어린이 Never hit 변성기
숨 차는 벙어리 Loosen ur 허리띠 bruh
Still at ur puberty huh huh
He makes his way back to the starting spot and starts the third bar. Turning his attention to the other contestants and aims his next verse in their direction, trying to catch a few of their eyes. Making sure that they knew what an actual threat the male could be, before facing the judges once more this time adding more intensity to his words.
길을 막지마 To the 나침반이 가리키는 가치관
하루 아침 안에 변한 마지노선 막바지 버텨 24시간
좀 아는 놈은 아는 야시장, 찾아와봐 기다릴 테니
The performance comes to the final bit, and Wonshik crouches down on one knee for the finale. He delivers his last few lines with pure power. Making sure to emphasize each word.
Hungry as ever let me take your life, put bodies in bags for a bag of that rice.
His body sways to the beat as the song winds down to it’s last few seconds and just before the final few notes play Wonshik stands up with his feet shoulder-width apart. Mimicking his starting stance once again to signal the end of the song.
He bows once more as the music stops and offers the judges a smile, heading back to his seat to finish watching the remaining performances and await his fate.
My phone has been blowing up all day with people asking if that was me they saw on TV. It looks like I passed the first round of auditions for the MGA’s. Who would have thought.

Event; MGA SEASON 4 Outfit; X Catagory; Interview
[KEY - D: Director, I: interviewer, W: Wonshik]
The first thing that comes into Wonshik’s mind is that the chair he’s sitting in is far too hard and the lights are far too hot. He knows he looks awkward in front of the camera, his uncertainty about the whole process must be showing because the makeup artist touching up his foundation flashes him a reassuring smile. He’s sure it’s supposed to make him feel better the pity just make him feel that much worse.
It takes a few moments for the crew to recalibrate the cameras and after a few more adjustments the time for the interview comes. before the cameras start rolling the director comes forward and lays his hand on won’s shoulder going over the process and explaining that the interview was just to get a feel for who Wonshik was as a person and what his goals were.
D: “ Just think of it like a job interview. Just be yourself and everything will be fine
W: “okay” easier said than done he thinks to himself.
D: “We are really just want to get a feel for who the real Wonho is so..”
W: “ It’s Wonshik.”
D: “What?”
W: “My name is Wonshik”
D:“Oh.” he says looking at his clipboard befor scribbling something out “My mistake. two minutes and then we’re starting ”
His heart starts to beat faster as the camera start to roll. He expected a bit of nervousness, this was an interview after all, but the blaring lights and multiple cameras focused on him are making it harder and harder for him to focus. He takes a deep breath and tries to steady himself as the interviewer begins.
I: “Hi Wonshik, how are you today?”
W: “i’m good, a little out of my element, but otherwise good. Oh, and you can call me Won. All my friends do.
I: “Are we friends now? We’ve only just met”
W:” I consider everyone I meet a friend until they do something to lose my trust. So unless you have something unpleasant planned for me I would consider us firends”
I: “ No , I don’t have anything unplesant planned and I look forward to our new friendship.
W: “Me too.”
I:”Now before we get into the tough questions we want to know how has the whole experience here been treating you so far?”
W: “It’s been fine, everyone seems to be really helpful from what I can tell so no complaints here.
I:“ Good, good. If you have any don’t hesitate to let me know okay.”
W:“i’ll let you know if I have any”
I:“promise?”
W:“Ha, yeah I promise”
I: “Okay won first question, tell us a little about yourself “
W: “wow .okay. Well I’m a twenty-four year old graduate from The Seoul National University of Sports and I’m currently working as a personal trainer and I do a little boxing on the side.
I: “Wow boxing! How long have you been doing that?”
W: ”Well, I officially started when I was in junior high school, so maybe 10 or 11 years. I just fell in love with the sport. A lot of people think it’s just a convenient excuse for a bunch of meatheads to beat each other up but it’s really so much more than that. it’s really all about strategy.
I: ”It seems like your a very athletic person. Do you mind showing us a demostration?
W: Sure I would just need a punching bag or at least boxing gloves.
“I’m sure we can get you some gloves
It was a bit of an odd request for the middle of an interview but if Wonshik was anything he was accommodating. He stands up from his chair and slides the boxing gloves he received from the director on his hands before taking an offensive stance. “The key to being a great boxer starts with your stance, if your stance is weak not only will your balance and mobility be off, but your punches won’t be as effective either”. He adjusts his stance, raises his fists, and glances at the interviewer. “I’m just going to show you something really quick. Nothing fancy but effective in a match”
I: Wow amazing,You’re really good - I could barly see your hands. What made you want to audition for the MGA’s when you’re this good?”
W: ”Thank you. Honestly i’m still lacking alot, but I apriciate the complement. i decided to audition because my friend wanted to come and audition so I was kind of coerced into it.
I: ”So you’re not interested in being an idol? That's what the end goal of this competition is.”
W: “ I wouldn’t say I’m not interested, I’ve just never seen myself as an idol before today. I mean i’m not exactly a Wonbin look a like, but I do think that after seeing a glips of what goes on behind the camera I’m alot more interested inthe idea than I was before.
I: “I can understand that. I will say that if you do continue on in this competetion you need to be really committed. This competition isn’t for the faint of heart. Do you think you’ll be able to keep up?”
W: “i’ve never been the kind of person who does something half way and just because I came into this competition with less of an idea of what I wanted, doesn’t mean I’ll start now. I’m a natural born competitor and I don’t take competition lightly.
I: “One final question for you and then I’ll let you go Won. What do you think you will bring to the MGAs that will set you apart from the other competitors?
W: “ What I bring to the competition that no one else would bring as a fighting spirit. I’ve experience the ups and downs life has to offer and I’m not the kind of guy to throw in the towel when times get hard. I perservere and fight on. If you want someone who won’t stop fighting until they come out in first place I would say choose me right now. If you want someone who is satisfied with second best chose one of these other guys.
I: “ Well Wonshik , it’s been quite a blast interviewing you. I hope you had as much fun as I’ve had.

He really can’t remember a time when he was able to dance so freely than right now in this moment. Standing in a small room with 20+ set of eyes locked on his every movement, he’s moving, grinding, and gliding across the floor. he can feel their eyes locked on him, looking for any kind of mistake that would prove that they were indeed superior to the fool wildly dancing his heart out.
The song he chose was Rita Ora x Chris Brown’s: Body on me. It's a smooth song with a mellow and a free-flowing instrumental. that was the perfect choice to show off his moves to. Not too flashy to distract away from his dancing and not so simple that he had nothing to groove to.
It’s very clear that his no professionally trained dancer. His lines are sloppy and lack fluidity, he lacks stamina in his moves and they come out far weaker than he intended. But at that moment as he dances he feels like he’s Fred Astaire himself. He knows he should have prepared a routine beforehand but Won was not the type to prepare his dances. He loves to let the music guide his body and express itself organically. He was a freestyler for better or for worse.

Event; Secondary Skill Outfit; X Talent: Song (link) Time Stamp: 0:50 -1:33
He’d like to say he’s ready for what comes next, but that would be a lie. he’s not sure what he’s going to do and it’ written on his face. He’s spent the last couple of minutes searching for Jaeyoon, to no avail, and now he’s seated by himself trying to get his thoughts together.
It’s clear that he’s outclassed. It was obvious in his dance class, but at least there he was doing something he really loved. Here, he’s in uncharted territory. He hadn’t planned to show off a secondary skill, he wasn’t even sure if he had a second skill to show. a glance around the room reveals a group of people who live and breath performance. He watches as a pair of girls drop into simultaneous splits and a guy wearing an Adidas shirt does a handstand. they’re obvious intimidation tactics, but just because their obvious doesn’t mean they’re ineffective.
He’s screwed.
Royally screwed
He spent his time in the practice room trying to rake his mind to think of a talent. By the time he eventually settled on singing, he had just enough time in the practve room to practice a song twice before his time was up and it was his turn to perform.
He’s led into a room almost completely empty except for a microphone and a table full of judges. He makes his way over to the microphone, adjusting it’s hight a bit for introducing himself.
“Hello, my name is Kim Wonshik and for my skill, I will be singing K.Will’s song “Please dont” for you.
“You may begin whenever you’re ready.
“Thank you”
As the music starts playing, wonshik finds himself second guessing his choice. he has never been much of a singer so he has no idea what possed him to descide to sing for the judges. He clears his throat quickly and takes a deep breath as he prepears to start singing.
나란히 앉은 자동차 속에선
음악도 흐르지 않아
늘 잡고 있던 니 왼손으로
너 입술만 뜯고 있어
니가 할 말 알아 그 말만은 말아
Don’t know why Don’t know why
일분 일초 더 끌고 싶은데
텅 빈 길 나를 재촉해
His voice comes out smoother than he expected and hee’s pleasantly suprised. Not all of his notes are on point, he’s missing a good 25% of them, but he’s hitting enough that it’s still berable to listen to .
빙빙 돌아온
너의 집 앞이 나 익숙해 눈물이 나와
하루가 멀게 찾아온 여기서
길을 내가 잃은 것 같아
이러지마 제발 떠나지마 제발
Don’t know why Don’t know why
비도 안 오는 유리창 넘어
뿌옇게 멀어지는 너
He stops after the first chorus perferring to stop while he’s a ahead. He knows his breath control isn’t strong enough to make it all the way through the second verse and last chorus with out going completly off key. Wonshik bows to the judges and at their signal leaves the room.
